I'm giving the place 3 stars only because it took them a good 3-4 minutes to get us sat. There was not a true hostess, so 1 lady said she was going to seat us but then disappeared. Another lady came and sat us after we were waiting around for a few minutes. That part was a little dysfunctional considering there was another party that walked in after us too. Our server Bryanne (I hope I spelled that right) was super sweet and made sure we were taken care of. She was great at checking in with us, before ordering, during the appetizers, during our meal. All the food and drinks were good as well. My friend ordered the steak, cooked as he asked, but they did not have any A1. They also apparently give plastic cutlery out in lieu of real silverware, thought that was a little strange. We did not have to wait long for the food, my sister did however, had to wait a while for her second margarita drink and a shot. Food and service were both horrible. This place should probably be shut down. We were served food partially on to go containers because they didn't have clean dishes. We were never asked how we wanted our steak cooked and it came out raw. I typically order my steaks "medium rare on the rare side" so when I won't eat an undercooked steak, it's really undercooked. The waitress pretended she couldn't understand "my southern" accent and mocked it when I asked for something... not in a fun, joking manner either. We had to take out steak home and finished cooking it ourselves, the flavor was horrible even then. Pay no attention to the star I was mandated by Yelp to submit. Negative stars should be a thing. From beginning to end, the service was abismal. The manager did not let us know that there was only one cook, no bartender and no hostess, our poor waiter had to let us know; she also ignored our party of 9 upon coming in, then when she finally looked up, she asked us how many we had and proceeded to walk away from us several times without addressing us or giving direction. She did not even walk us to our table. The drinks took 47 minutes to come out, our food was brought out at different times and four of us had to wait an extra 16 minutes for our food to come out. The restaurant was out of the left side of the menu and when told we were on a time crunch, the staff ignored us and kept taking their time. The table that came in after us, a party of five, was completely served without issue before us. The restaurant only had five tables occupied. I'll start by saying I know this is an Applebee's so no, I did not go into this expecting the highest quality of service or a world class experience. With that being said, our experience wasn't the best. There was food and trash all under, around, and on our table. My soup came out in a to-go cup... Our waitress sat at the table directly next to us with another waitress and the manager having very loud and inappropriate conversation pretty much the entire time. When they did decide to get up, they left their mess on the table and simply moved to a high top table on the other side of where we were sitting. Our waitress only came back to drop off our food, but did not return to check on us again. I had to ask another employee, who was already busy, for a to-go box, because our waitress was sitting down chit chatting at the table next to us. The food was good, no complaints there. read more

We were visiting Augusta from PA for a few days, decided to get Applebee's carside ToGo on our last night to have a nice dinner in our hotel room. It was my birthday dinner. Placed order online, my husband ordering four cheese Mac & cheese with honey pepper chicken tenders while I ordered the prime rib dipper with French fries and extra Caesar salad side. I was asked if I wanted utensils, which I did order since we were in a hotel room, and we requested curbside pickup. My husband went to pick up food at time we were told. After arriving at the restaurant and replying to the automated text that he was there to pickup at appointed time, he sat for 20 minutes before having to go in to get the food, which had been sitting there for 20 minutes and was cold. When he got back to the hotel, there weren't any utensils at all. We had to go down to hotel receptionist to ask for plastic utensils. Finally, we started eating. The salad was the best part (how hard is Caesar salad). The fries were cold and hard. There were only 2 small chicken tenders on the Mac & cheese. And the Mac and cheese didn't really have any cheese, mostly just buttered noodles. We often pick Applebees when traveling out of town, since it's generally a restaurant we know and can count on. But after this experience we won't be going back any time soon. read more

I don't usually write a review after one visit unless I'm passing through and not likely to be in the neighborhood for a follow up visit. Applebee's is in the area and while running errands (Christmas shopping), I thought to order a late lunch for Carside To-Go. I ordered an appetizer plate with noodles for my little companion. Fifteen minutes after placing the call to notify them of my space number, the food hadn't been brought out so I called again. Guess the message I'd arrived wasn't relayed appropriately. Okay, so another 10-12 minutes later, everything arrived but tepid at best. I'll return and update this review some time in the future when I'm not quite so irritated or hungry. read more

We got sat down immediately, but then waited over 30 minutes for a waiter which never came. we then got moved to a different section . again waited about 20 more minutes without being seen. so we just decided to leave and go somewhere else. would not recommend. there was multiple people just standing around and we couldn't even get asked what we would like to drink or anything. read more

The service and food quality at this location have been steadily declining in recent months. Last night, the restaurant was fairly empty. However, It took nearly ten minutes for our server to come to the table. I finally asked the hostess to please find our waiter/waitress, so it's unclear how much longer we would have sat waiting. Other staff saw me looking around but ignored that and kept walking. As for the food, portion sizes have been reduced. We've noticed this at some other chain restaurants also. However the quality and amount of key ingredients have been affected as well. The Spinach Artichoke Dip appetizer is half the size it was. The Chicken Wanton Tacos are mostly carrots and lettuce, very little chicken- and the sauce on the tacos that makes them "wanton" is so minimal you can barely see or taste it. Now they are more like eating coleslaw tacos. The Fiesta Lime Chicken Salad no longer has black beans and the crunchy tortilla chip strings are minimal- key elements that made it fiesta and delicious. The touch screen units on each table are a nice feature, but the surfaces of them need to be given a wipe down every time the table is cleaned. On a positive note, the restaurant was recently renovated inside. It's a shame the staff and food were not given an upgrade as well. read more

The ONLY reason I'm giving 4 stars is because our waitress Londyn was a rock star during our recent visit. We're visiting from out of town, and we've learned that Applebee's is a pretty consistent place to eat around the country. The steaks are usually well prepared and a good cut of meat. The beverages are consistent from store to store, and the Wonton Tacos are so addictive I may need a 12 step meeting to help break me of my habit. But THIS particular location was a mess. The seating at midnight took 20 minutes. Tables were piled high with the old dirty dishes, the drinks were a pretty lame, the worst offender being the Sparkling fruit Beverages which did NOT come as Expected. So let's just start by saying that I ordered my online and I ordered a blackened shrimp Alfredo with salmon added .... 30 minutes later I get a call saying that they've run out of shrimp. Okay fine . Well when I get there it takes them until 9pm to bring my food out when the recipe come I'm still charged for the shrimp . The manager comes out and says the only thing he can do is take off a couple of dollars but he would have to RE swipe my card : so basically I would be paying for almost $50 !!?? Very disappointed. Went to this location last night and ordered drinks and we had to send them back because "top shelf" should not consist of 80% water 10% syrup & 10% "top shelf" and they most certainly should have the health department called because the ice had mold frozen in each cube. It looked like I had pepper shaken in my glass. When we sent them back, DEBORAH the bartender yelled from behind the bar, across the room that they "were gonna get made the same way" Not only is that unprofessional, it's a health hazard to serve contamination ice. I hope no one has gotten/gets sick. I'm calling corporate today we left and had a WONDERFUL experience at LOGANS and got our moneys worth for top shelf. I went to this restaurant recently and had a truly horrible experience. We went in to take advantage of the 2 for $25 deal and I must say it was NOT worth the hassle. Upon entry, I noticed the host hanging out looking at me and other patrons waiting to be sat, and continued to chat with other employees. Later, I watched this same host (named I believe Matthew) assist every patron to their seat while actively watching videos on his phone. He even found himself sitting at a table watching said videos and had to be reprimanded (very loudly) by another employee in order for him to actually assist people. When ordering our food, we asked how many riblets came on the plate versus the platter that was $3 more and we were told 3 and 5 respectively. We assumed this from previous encounters but wanted to confirm. When we received our food, we noticed that the plate came with 2 riblets and the platter came with 3. We immediately asked our waitress about it and she sent over her manager. The manager let us know that she was a manager at a different location before this one and the rule has always been based on ounces (10 oz/plate 16 oz/platter). We let her know that we were told differently and that even the photos in their menu show the plate with 3. She said she'd talk to the kitchen manager and see what they'd say. She did not come speak to us again for at least 15/20 minutes although she assisted at a table directly behind us. When she did come back she brought out 2 riblets and fries and said we'll give you this and there's no charge. So in the end we still didn't get what was advertised or told to us before we ordered. I even looked at the receipt and on the receipt it states there's 3/ plate and 5/platter. We spent the majority of our time there waiting to see if we would be given all of the food we ordered while being ignored deliberately by management. The atmosphere was very uncomfortable as we also heard complaints from other tables near us not receiving the correct amount of food based on what was advertised when they ordered (ex. Brownie with ice cream served without the ice cream). I did give this 2 stars as the food we did receive was actually quite good, but the rest of the experience was not. I will definitely not be returning to the location. Please advertise factual information regarding serving sizes and make sure your staff (servers/waiters) know the information. This was easily avoidable and also could have easily been fixed. Instead we got dismissed and still ended up without the food we were told we'd receive. read more

On September 18 2024 we ordered 2 meals via uber. One meal arrived complete, the $28 steak was missing both sides. We notified Applebees asking to speak the mgr. After a 7 minute hold, the same person who answered the phone picked up asking if she could help. We explained what happened? At which time she insisted she personally packed the order and there were 2 bags handed to the driver. She generously offered for us to come pick up the sides. She was told no we couldn't do that. She suggested calling the driver. We did and he stated without hesitation that he was handed one bag. He was believable and professional. We contacted Applebees again stating we reordered the meal and she replied she would personally hand off the order to the driver. Upon further questioning she changed her statement from the first order stating " well I handed it to someone to hand to the driver" . By this time it was clearly convincing she was not being truthful. We asked for her to comp part of the meal or make some restitution for the mistake. Her reply was more green beans and garlic mashed potatoes. She flatly refused any further compensation. This was $28 steak meal. I must add the food was good but that is the most egregious service we have ever received. Needless to say, we will NEVER order from that applebees again. Would not recommend. We will never be going back to this Apple Bees. First off let me say we went on a Sunday night around 8pm. Specials start at 9pm. I was excited about the 1/2 off apps. I will note that we overheard 4 employees did not show up so they were off their game. The place was not packed at all, so that's no excuse. Although our waiter was nice she was extremely slow. Had no pep in her step. Everyone was extremely slow. She took our drink orders & food order. I ended up ordering a bud light and my boyfriend asked for Tito's & Red Bull. I got my beer but it took almost 20 mins to be told they didn't have his drink. So then he ordered a crown and Diet Pepsi. Our app & my dinner came before my boyfriend got anything to drink! We ordered the 2 for $25. Comes with an app. The buffalo chicken nuggets seem like they came out a bag poured buffalo sauce on them and popped them in the microwave. And my entree looked the same way. Ribs were dry, looked like they just reheated them. Broccoli was basic no seasoning, the mash potatoes were tasty. But nothing came out really hot except my boyfriends plate. His chicken was okay but his potatoes were dry. And his drink finally came. After we finished our meal we waited another 20 mins just sitting there until our waiter finally came and we ordered another two drinks & the app chicken wontons which actually I gave this place two stars because I love those WONTONS! If I haven't ordered those I would have given them one star. My Bahama momma tasted like it had no alcohol but the flavor was good. We noticed people waiting at the door and pointing at all the empty tables. We were not the only one disappointed that night. Place was extremely dirty. The guy who sat my friend and I down was very friendly and even got our drinks for us. He let us know our server would be with us shortly, our server was so nice, he introduced himself and had a normal conversation with us. Our food was very good and it came out pretty fast. My friend's fries took a little while, but they were fresh so she didn't mind. The server was very appreciative for the tip I left. However, the female bathrooms were filthy. Also, there was a lady at the bar who was yelling and talking in a very derogatory manner, getting in fights with everyone at the bar. They allowed her to stay in there and say whatever she wanted to say and it ruined the atmosphere, it made us want to get our food to go because she just would not stop. read more

Frequent customer of Applebee's over the years but second time at this location. It's perfect for those late night after movie meals when most other options have closed. The food is okay, nothing stellar but I would say that about most Applebee's. The service would be my main reason for my 3 star rating. They were busy for so late a meal but it was a challenge to get service, our meals and ultimately the bill. If you are in a hurry this is likely not the place to go. The restaurant was cleaning a when service was present they were personable. I will likely visit again but mainly because they offer decent food in the wee hours of the night. If I was looking for a great dining experience this would not be my first, second or third choice. PS if your a sports enthusiast this is probably a welcomed option as they have numerous screens in the bar area. But I would argue that it detracts from a romantic dining experience. read more

Then it took longer to get the food. And it wasn't that crowed at all. Today I went with the special Top and Loaded. Bone in pork chop, bacon beer cheese topper which is white chedder beer cheese, bacon and green onions and 2 sides streamed broccoli and garlic mashed potatoes..First when we got it. It looked nothing like the inviting photo. Lol My potatoes and broccoli was not hot. The chop was a little over cooked. So I guess this was my miss visit. Definitely can not say it was worth the wait to get served. Even after getting the check and telling him we were in a rush. It still took another 15 mins for him to come take the credit card. Came in on a sunday night to place a to-go order. Bartender said they just cut their to-go person so he would take care of us. Said our order would be out in 15 mins. Waited 35 mins to get our food plus an extra 10 just for him to take our payment. So our food sat and got cold while we waited for him to take our card. He was nice and obviously very busy, so I don't blame him. Why they would cut their to-go person is beyond me. literally wish I could give 0 stars. I NEVER leave reviews on a restaurant. We had the worse experience and we didn't even dine in THANK GOD. We pulled in for our curbside order and checked in. said our food was ready and would be right out. thirty five minutes later and we was still waiting. this was also after the worker came and asked who our order was for. so they DEFINITELY knew we were there. After 35 min later my husband goes inside and waits another 15 minutes. Our drinks didn't even taste like soda. It was carbonated water and my husband's literally tasted like water with flat carbonation. Fast forward to home a few minutes later. thank god for our air fryer and microwave or else we would have had ice cold food... where do I even go from there. I had tenders and fries ...every fast food joint tenders and fries would be 10x better than this. Been waiting for a table for about 45 mins. Party of 6 they said waiting time was supposed to be 10-15 mins when we first arrived. Came to celebrate a friend's bday and the waiting was awful. Can't understand how there are not enough servers on a Thursday night. Of course once we got a table it was past 1130pm and the rush of last call and kitchen closing. We ordered 2 of the spinach dips and one came with a plate that comes with it the other took for ever to come at the time it came to the table all the other appetizers we ordered were gone. Server kinda saved the nightmare but it was just too much not to make a review out of the night we had. On Mondays during football season from 4pm to close, Applebee's offers $6.99 burger and fries. They also offer half off appetizers during late aftenoons and late nights, twice a day. You would have to ask about the exact times because I'm not sure when they are exactly. The burger is a burger you choose off the regular menu. It's a pretty great deal but they do not offer unlimited french fry refills anymore. That kind of sucks because Applebee's fries are my favorite of any other. But what's not to enjoy about a restaurant style $6.99 burger and fries. They are competing with all the fast food joints now!!!
