The Cork, now known as Whiskey Bent, is the crown jewel bar/restaurant in Aiken. No, I'm not being facetious and no, this is not a review from someone that knows the owner. When I first visited Whiskey Bent, I was shocked at the high quality of everything. The bar is clean, the liquor is fresh and liberally poured, the atmosphere is fun (pool, darts, arcade machines, dance floor, jukebox), and the staff are friendly and playful. Additionally, the food is seriously good! I was somewhat shocked by the food since, on the surface, it mostly seems like a bar. Nope, this place has some of the best wings, mozzarella sticks, and burgers in town. Importantly, the owners and staff here seem to cherish liberty. They have kept their business running in a safe and fun manner in 2020 while also upholding the US constitution. I encourage you patriots, veterans, law enforcement, first responders, liberty lovers, bikers, dart players, pool players, church goers, drinkers and abstainers, and all people who want to have fun, to check out Whiskey Bent. Our Tab was 32.95 we paid $17 in tips to Katie!!! You got me Katie, HAHA but I won't be back..,I really like this bar it has really good people, great Pool Vib. I really enjoyed our visit. If you use a credit card to open your tab, The situation I want to make everyone aware of. When you give a credit card for your tab the bartender is required to run your credit card every time you order a round. It's not Katie's Fault, it's the company policy she can't do anything about it I just want you all to be aware. every time your order a round of drink after you give your credit card for a tab. Katie is going to run your credit card every single time that you put in an order so just be aware if you order for around Katie will authorize your credit card. I just want people to be aware of the policy of Whiskey Bent will be for Katie to authorized your credit card every time you order a round. Even if you pay cash on closing out or use a different card (someone in my party offered to pay the Tab) it's not Katie's fault Katie can't do anything about it it's just a company policy but watch out for Katie because Katie is just following their rules. My card was pre authorized for $45 I didn't ever buy a drink on my card!! (We paid her $17 dollars in Tips during this film-flam). see attached. Walked in after having dinner at the Hibachi restaurant beside them. I half expected a grungy biker bar, but to my surprise not grungy at all! They have several tvs, games, pool table and darts. My friends and I sat at the bar and had a drink to kill some time. The drink prices were reasonable. They have some pretty good happy hours. I'll come back here for sure. read more
