I was on the fence about going into this place... but vibe was right up my alley. I enjoyed the ceiling fan light fixture electrical thing they had going, very cool invention. Just look up when you enter and you too might be amazed. The place was pretty busy, however the staff were attentive and knowledgeable about the offerings. I am Always amazed when a restaurant can keep the menu fresh with specials. My truffle burger was great. A mouthful of flavors which I would expect from a burger. However, I was not a fan of the liquid cheese or whatever it was... it kind of ruined the burger a bit. The eggs were fine, nothing special, you can skip them. The beef, I didn't try because the burger stopped me In my tracks. I will be paying another visit because there are plenty other things I want to try. read more

We were last here two years ago & I am pleased to report that things are still amazing. We stopped in for late lunch and tried the smoked trout dip - it was ok - not as blended as I would have liked but great flavor. We followed that by sharing a grilled cheese & crab sandwich that was delish - served with salad so we felt righteous. I tried a special cocktail and it tasted like summer, Wayne had a smoked old fashion & then a rye flight. We had such good service & love sitting at the bar so of we made a reservation for Sunday brunch. For brunch I had a fabulously great eggs Benedict- eggs done just right, not so much hollandaise that it overwhelmed & the ham was perfect. The home fries could not have been better & it all went with bottomless mimosas. Wayne had a French omelette - full of lamb shanks, onions & cheese - he said calling it an omelette didn't do it justice! His was paired with a beer/bloody drink that I think may make an appearance at home. All in all another couple of superb experiences. read more

Came here for the first time on Valentines and it is safe to say we will be coming back! They had a three course meal where you could pick one of the two appetizers, entrée, and dessert for your meal. Each dish was perfectly crafted and full of flavor. A gem in Aiken! I asked my brother-in-law where we needed to visit when we came to town and his answer was 100% whiskey alley. We brought our mothers here for a pre-mother's-day dinner and had a great time! I was able to easily make a reservation for five online (which I always appreciate). We were promptly greeted upon arrival and our table was ready and waiting. I started with a cocktail that was PHENOMENAL! I wish I remembered the name but it was something with mezcal that they also offered smoked! We decided to start with some salads, which were generous portions (even the small) and bursting with fresh flavor. Their house-made vinaigrettes were the perfect finishing touch! We ordered fish and chips, the burger, a charcuterie platter, and a dinner salad for our entrees and everything was fresh and a nice portion. My husband is a self-proclaimed burger snob (and we come from a very foodie town) so he said it was "good". They forgot a couple of the cheeses on my charcuterie but made it right as soon as I mentioned it! For dessert, we went with their tiramisu and the crème brûlée - both which where fantastic. My only complaint for the evening is that it was very hard to get our servers attention. They appeared to be slammed, and everyone we interacted with was very friendly, but our drinks ran dry and there was a long wait to ask for the check since the staff was all so busy! It gave us more time to chat, so not the end of the world, but a little more attention could get this place up to the five stars! All in all, we will definitely be back to try out some of the other dishes (the menu changes so often, there's always something new)! read more

I'm not sure if we came on an off day or if the restaurant has good reviews because the ambiance is nice but the food was sickening. We've had a lot of beef tartare in our life and this was mushy and tasted like dog food unfortunately. The potato chips on the side of it were the only decent part. The charcuterie board had 2 out of 4 of the wrong items. I ordered the scallops crudo and it smelled like dead fish, I couldn't stomach trying to eat it. The manager did take off a few of the items, was kind, and they gave us free dessert but I don't think we can come back after this, at least not for food. I feel sick thinking about what I ate here and I think that's likely going to stick with me. I honestly don't feel comfortable eating here as I feel there is a high chance of food poisoning. I did come here one other time for drinks and that was fine so that'll probably be the extent at which we order anything, if at all. read more

We had a group of 6 last night, sitting outside in Whiskey Alley's charming patio area. Our server was on-point, polite and enthusiastic. They turned off the outdoor fans because it was becoming chilly for us and served appetizers and our meal in a timely manner. We had the following: Beer Battered Fish-HUGE and crispy with the best homemade fries I've ever tasted! Beyond Burger- three of us had this and every bite was eaten! Cooked to perfection. Caesar Salad- this was light and a large serving. Crispy tortilla toppings with freshly shredded Parmesan on top and gently tossed with a light dressing that was not overpowering. Will order again. Charred Brussels-these little nuggets of delight are the perfect appetizer and come with a heated Thai sauce that is sweet and spicy. We asked for the sauce to be put on the side for dipping. Grilled Pork Chop- the chop was covered with a tomato-sausage red sauce that added flavor and was 5 star! Smoked Trout- this dip is sour cream based and was heavenly, served with homemade potato chips. These chips were cooked a little too long but we loved this appetizer anyway! Deviled Eggs- these are cooked with the yolk a little runny and sitting on top of a mustard sauce. So good and hearty. I had one in my Cesar salad too! This has a very eclectic crowd with a young couple speaking French behind us, work groups from the site, to Girls-Night-Out groups. Very lively and festive. We will be back! read more

It's been 5 years dining and hanging at the Whiskey Alley. We've seen a lot of culinary experiments (& staff) appear and get perfected...yeah, there are some we miss, but overall Whiskey Alley is still a "win" for us. Tried the old standby....Charred Spanish Octopus is fantastic, albeit more expense and less of a portion. Our Tuesday standard is the Beyond burger with a side of fries....eh, it's a ok veggie burger presentation. Buns suck. But in Aiken...can't expect perfection. Get the upscale" fast food burger" concept. The fries...well the fries are da bomb. Salad was dressed appropriately and oration was good. Beer selections were great (per the usual) - Southbound Hop'lin IPA on tap & Edmund's Oast Smoked Ale. You can't go wrong here! The chef/ owners are amazing. Even the hamburger is worth going for! Add the bacon jam! Great, friendly service and cozy atmosphere . We usually have craft beer but they have a great bar. They do close after lunch for a couple of hours to prep for dinner, so check your watch. read more

This is the best place in Aiken to eat several years running for us. The food is always incredible, and each time we have visited we have felt special and well taken care of. I can't say enough good things about this establishment. The drinks are incredible and the bar staff is always knowledgeable and attentive. The trout dip is our favorite appetizer and our favorite entree is the Royale Burger with bacon jam. You can't go wrong with any dish here, however. Two words that are amazing separately, but magical together are "birthday" and "brunch." And that is exactly what brought me to Whiskey Alley on a beautiful Sunday morning. There I am, 46 and loving life, shaving and breaking out my business casual outfit so I can head to Aiken. I was excited, as I had heard good things about them over the years but never had experienced it for myself. I was also aware of the outdoor seating. Like the morning temperature, the staff here were kind and calm. I ordered a cup of coffee then began my combing of the menu. Always one to indulge the sweet tooth (and more so when I have such a great excuse to), I ordered the French Toast. If I had to define "culinary beauty" it would be this; when the simplest ingredients produce perfection. Batter, blueberries, Vermont maple syrup, and powdered sugar. Reading that list may not produce a reaction of food fomo, but it should. It was the premiere birthday dish for that birthday, hands down. We had a fantastic lunch today at whiskey Alley. Our servers name was Kem, and she was absolutely fantastic. She told us, that if we liked tiramisu, it's the best you've ever had, and she was 100% correct. It truly was the best we have ever had the fish and chips were incredible. I walked in, and it seemed nice. There was a lady with a dog in the enclosed patio area. Hmmm, how do they have an A health score like that? We had the Royale burger . Medium well with a fried egg and bacon jam. Omg, it was so delicious, and I would get it again. The burger was moist, flavorful, and thick. The bread was great also. The bacon jam was good on the fries also. The fries could've been better, but it's the best burger I had in a while. Service could've been better. We had to ask Nicholas to provide us with napkins. I originally was looking to grab dinner and a drink elsewhere, but many of the businesses in downtown Aiken were closed so it was happenstance that I stopped in. I grabbed a seat at the bar where not by choice I mostly played witness to the employee drama which patrons should not be subject to but it did provide some entertainment. The name of the place insinuates plenty of whiskey/bourbon to be had (all bourbons are whiskey, but not all whiskey is bourbon) which held very true as they have a great selection of these spirits amongst other options for those that do not care for the golden nectars. The foo on the other hand to me was a different story having somewhat of a limited offering. I ended up getting their burger which was very good but nothing breathtaking. Drove from Pelion to eat at Whiskey Alley because we wanted something new and different! We were seated upon arrival (on a Saturday afternoon!) & we were immediately brought water & menus. We had 2 mixed drinks, the "Lime in the Coconut" & a Crown Apple. Both were great! We started with the smoked trout dip, which was also very good! Our entrees were salmon & Amberjack. The menu changes daily, which I didn't know until after we left. But that explains why there were only about 6 or 7 entrees to choose from. First time here, we had no reservations.,Which we didn't know we needed. If you are a walk-in they will seat you outside in the freezing cold weather., The first few drinks we ordered they did not have the alcohol for , had to go to the bar next door to get our mixed drinks.. I don't know really what was going on . How do you come to the bar to get drinks and don't have the alcohol for them . Anyway after that we decided to go eat and get drinks somewhere else where we could be warm. The menu we looked at for dinner was not inciting at all. Plus didn't want to eat in the freezing cold. But our waitress was nice. Very apologetic... But I understand it isn't her fault. I don't think I will be back very bad experience. Will I recommend? I don't know, all I do know is if you go to eat or get drinks make a reservation if you don't you will be sitting out in the cold! read more

I would say more of 3.5 stars, our group had mixed opinions about their meal here. The cheeseburger is a must here, and the pork chop has a great flavor with the gorgonzola sauce. The trout dip was a disappointment and the filet medallions were bad. The meat was nowhere close to tender filet and had very little flavor to it. It definitely wasn't seasoned prior to grilling it, but the veggies that came with it were the opposite. They were so salty that they were inedible. read more
