Had valentine's day dinner and it was amazing! The server was patient and very passionate about the food. Each course was great and came at a decent time. We wish we weren't in the side room and wanted to experience the main dining room. I will definitely be back.

Almost didn't come because reservations for Saturday night were sold out for months. Learned bar seating is first come first serve - we got there 5 minutes before opening and got a seat easily! Ambiance is smart casual to business casual I'd say. Mostly older folks. Servers were really nice and happy to answer any questions or provide suggestions. We had to wait a bit for our food but them offering some bread and whipped butter helped a lot. The wait was worth it. I had the most tender porkchop in my life. Wasn't too salty - perfectly seasoned. My husband usually doesn't like potatoes and loved the sweet potatoes underneath. We also thoroughly enjoyed his steak - he had no complaints and cleaned the whole plate. For the price point we were amazed by the portions - we left super full. For dessert it was hard to decide but eventually went for the sticky toffee pudding. Moist, soft, flavorful and sweet. Wished there was a bit more chantilly cream but it was fine. It was still super good. Will definitely return if we are ever in Augusta again.

Great service! Frog Hollow Tavern is the fancy place you take a date to and dress up for a nice night out~ I had the red snapper dinner and it was pretty good! Like a 7.5/10, no complaints. Friends had the pork shoulder and another had the pork chops (off menu). They looked great. I would recommend against the mac and cheese, its made in some of a lasagna, but it would be better with just cheese and any other pasta. Recommend getting the $8 fries to share amongst 3-4 people because its a giant tray! Decent pricing and would go again~. I think to turn up the fancy for the restaurant: play nice music, walk guests out, and have more non-alcoholic drinks.

My husband made us a reservation at this restaurant and I am so glad he did because it was outstanding. We were staying at the Hyatt Hotel next door so it was so convenient. The ambiance can be described as upscale casual. The menu offers many small plates and large plates that all sounded incredible. We opted for the small plates of scallops and pork belly, fried okra, and steamed clams. They were all delicious. We then shared the pork shoulder large plate. It also came with mac and cheese and collard greens. Everything on the plate was divine. We were too full for dessert but took a cheesecake slice to go. Service from Fritz was friendly and fantastic.

I really wanted to love this place--we'd heard so many great things and decided to go for our anniversary. The food itself was good, maybe not quite as incredible as some reviews suggest, but definitely solid. The biggest issue was the wait. We had a reservation, but still ended up sitting for about 40 minutes before being seated. When I followed up with the hostess, she was extremely curt and snapped that the table was "being prepared"--and even then, it took another 10 minutes before we were seated. It wasn't the wait itself so much as the attitude that left a sour note on what should have been a special evening. Overall, the food was enjoyable, but the service experience made it hard to fully appreciate.

Just want to provide a shout out and BIG thank you to @FrogHollowTavern and its staff! Hosted our son and his beautiful bride's rehearsal dinner there on Friday night. The service, menu, and atmosphere were outstanding! With 30 guests it could have been hectic but our servers ensured everyone was well attended to. The food options were excellent and our celebrated couple had a wonderful time. Thank you, Frog Hollow! You were the start to a memorable weekend and you did not disappoint.

Is it fair to give a place 5 stars even though you've only been there once? Lol. We love this place. It's business casual: no flip-flops no hats no athletic wear, white table cloths. Service was awesome! Our meal was spaced out perfectly with small short break in between. We were not rushed at all. We ate more than we should have, getting 1 entrée as an appetizer with an actual appetizer! The crab cake and mussels were delicious. The mussels were Cajun style with that creole jambalaya taste and a kick. The crab cake was huge (7oz) paired with that simple arugula salad. My husband had the perfection pork chops with [I don't know how they made that corn bread salad mixed], and I had that buttery scallops with cheesy asparagus risotto. I don't know how else to describe this place other than "I wish we lived closer"

Awesome cowboy cut ribeye was prepared exactly as I asked and was so tasty.

Went to Frog Hollow Tavern for our Anniversary. We really love the atmosphere, the food was outstanding and our servers, Fritz and Jonathan, were top notch. Would highly recommend for any occasion. They have a very nice menu and wine selection as well as craft cocktails.

Went to Frog Hollow for my birthday, and they made it feel so special from start to finish. The service was thoughtful, and my food was so delicious. Couldn't have asked for a better first visit.

I've been to frog hollow multiple times over the past decade to celebrate special occasions and sometimes just to come here and enjoy a good meal. This place was one of the first fine dining restaurants in Augusta and I still like it now but there are other options to compare it to and unfortunately it's not as up to par. The last few times I've come, the entrees have been saltier than I liked, like when I got the pork it was so salty I couldn't even eat much of it. I switched over to their duck entree recently and I've been really enjoying that. This past time it was a little raw in the middle so I ended up bringing it home and searing it some more. The fries are great and it's such a huge portion, I do recommend that. And their creme brûlée is also good. Overall the service and ambience here are still top notch. I just think the food could have a bit more quality control

10/10 !! We dined in for an anniversary and had a 10 out of 10 experience. Our server Fritz was outstanding and the food was great. We loved the scallops and desserts ! We will definitely be back :)

Food: 5 Customer Service: 5 Ambience: 5 Location/Parking: 4, nearby street parking Cleanliness: 5 Reservations: Yes, it's a must or bar for walkins This restaurant is situated in the heart of the downtown Augusta, GA and conveniently located on Broad street. If you're familiar with the downtown area, than you already know that there is street parking nearby. The decor is a stunning mix of vintage luxury and modernity. This establishment is considered an American restaurant based on their menu, and they've got a full bar with many wines available. It's does have kind of a small space, but every table does provide enough space between other guests. I'd highly recommend to make reservations first, because they do not have a large bar or a waiting area. The menu offers a wide variety of delicious and mouthwatering starters and main courses that will appeal to everyone. When we arrived at our reservation time, we was quickly greeted by a friendly and courteous staff and seated immediately. Our waitress very professional and explain some of their menu specials for the evening. She was very friendly and patient with us, as we decided on what to order since it was our first experience visiting this business. Everything we ordered came out very fast and was well seasoned. Everything we ate was fresh and delicious. The chefs use the best quality ingredients to produce dishes that are simply delightful. The restaurant also offers a wonderful drink menu, and they offer one of the best wines in the region. This was definitely a great dining experience, and I'm positive that we will be back in near future when we visit this area again.

The service was absolutely top-notch, the food was excellent, and the ambiance was certainly very mellow. Our server, Cassandra, was very friendly and knowledgeable. The mozzarella sticks came out fresh, crispy, gooey, and gave that epic cheese pull you only see on commercials. The truffle bread bites were rich, flavorful, and had the perfect texture.
