I have been to this establishment before to hookah and saw on instagram they were having a silent party. (I'm not a party type but I was very interested) I've seen this new craze all over social media and decided to check it out. For those of you not familiar with the term "silent party", it's a party where you're given headphones and that's how you listen to the music. My friends and I were some of the first to arrive, so we turned in our ID's and got our headphones. It was about 10. We went to the bar to get a few drinks and they did not disappoint. The drinks were just strong enough. They also had a few games to play at the bar, so I beat my cousin in Connect 4 a few times. Lol The crowd started to come in about 30 minutes later. I took off my headphone between songs and at first it was a little awkward because you hear people singing, but there was no melody playing. This silent party had 3 dj's so you could switch if you didn't like the song. Each dj brought the heat and it was the most fun that I've had in a long time. Just imagine you singing in your car or in the mirror, that's how I felt at the silent party. I cannot hold a tune, but I was singing my heart out to each song that I knew. read more

I would not come back here. I got here at about 11:30p on a Saturday. Everyone was wasted, including the bartenders. This made it impossible to get a drink. The music was ok but not good enough for me to come back to a bar where I cant get a drink. read more

This is one of the spots I was first introduced to when moving to Augusta, Georgia. I'm a laid back person, so I don't really enjoy clubs or spots that have no seating. This is why I frequent Tribeca. This is a lounge. If you visit there is always a place to sit and drink or talk. The downstairs is a decent size. The lower level consists of a bar, seating, pool tables and restrooms. However, bar tenders are fickle. When I first began to visit, it was hard to get a drink regardless of how long you'd been waiting. As the bartenders begin to know the patrons, they serve you quicker. The bar always carries my favorite drink and I have no complaints regarding that. This spot has a DJ on some nights and they usually appeal to the crowd. Even if the DJ didn't play music people liked, I don't believe it would matter in this atmosphere because it's a lounge. On the upper level there is a Hookah Bar, which has gained popularity over the past few years. It is always crowded and the service is excellent. I spend a good deal of time in that area because the seating is more comfortable and the noise level is lower than the downstairs area. I can only explain this a niche space for Augustans. By that I mean, you may not get a full crowd unless something is being advertised at the spot. If there isn't a particular party or celebration happening the crowd is normal with plenty of space to easily navigate through the venue. If an event is advertised, the place is packed and very hard to maneuver. Tribeca is known for hosting the "Fire & Ice" event, which is a popular holiday event that brings together individuals that are in town for the holidays. It's an event I look forward to. Overall, I come here often and really enjoy the atmosphere. If you like clubs and dancing, this isn't the spot for you. But, if you like moving in your chair to the latest tunes, great drinks, pool, hookah and a laid back crowd. Be there! read more

The hookah here is decent. The prices seem a little high, but hey, it's an experience and not just the actual smoking you're paying for, so there's that. It can get busy, so getting there early is a good way to get a spot here. Also, the hookah is upstairs and the bar is downstairs. Went here for our first time, and we had a great time. The service was great for only having one staff member, the only downfall was you had to go downstairs for drinks. The hookah bar is upstairs with great relaxing ambiance, and comfortable futons. There are also games to play, we had Jenga at our area and played all night. There are other games by the door. The hookah for 4 people was $35, and the service irreplaceable, the place down the street has a long way to catch up. read more

So, I am a "frequenter" so to speak at Sharifa's Hookah Lounge, which I am definitely not the biggest fan of. This place was recommended to me by a friend that is also a lounge "frequenter". My guy and I went to this place on Saturday evening, and the first thing that turned me off to this place was that there was a $2 cover charge per person. For what? Anyway, they have a full bar on the main level, and you can bet your bottom dollar that you're going to be overcharged for any drink you order. We both ordered one drink, and they were $9 a piece. $22 total thus far and we haven't even smoked yet. We ask the bartender if we can open up a tab with the hookah upstairs and she says yes, no problem. The hookah lounge area is upstairs, and the area isn't the biggest, but it's alright. I mean the place is in Downtown Augusta, so it definitely is not the nicest establishment you'll ever visit. I digress. Anyway, we get upstairs, and the guy working that area tells us to sit wherever we want and he'll be with us in a few. After about 5-10 minutes, we go up to order the hookah, he tells us to pick "A" flavor... like singular... one... uno... and the hookah is $20. FOR ONE FLAVOR???! He tells us again that it's $20 and we tell him that we have a tab open downstairs. He repeated "a tab?" as if we were making it up. He pulls out a ripped up piece of note card and says to write the name down exactly as it appears on the card and he'll send someone to go get it... What? Okay. We choose the mango flavor, and go back to our little table area to wait. About 10 minutes goes by, and he brings the hookah over with two hoses, which is a little weird for two people, but whatever. They also have the super cheap tips that don't really fit the mouthpiece of the hose, and that's kind of annoying. Anyway, the coals they use are cheap, and the hookah is also cheap. It doesn't blow that well, and the flavor payoff in minimal. So after about an hour or so, him checking the coals once or twice in between, we decide to leave. We go back downstairs to pay, and we get through that relatively painlessly. Overall, I was not a huge fan of this place, I mean if you want a more chill, nicer environment, and something to drink, go to this place, but if you want good hookah, and a raggedy atmosphere, go to Sharifa's. read more

At first we were skeptical, because we had never heard of a buhda bar. Its another name for a hookah bar. The place was empty and looked a kittle shady, but the staff was very accommodating. Upstairs has low lit lights, soft hip hop, and nearly two dozen couches for chilling out. Awesome mood for relaxing with friends. Good place if u are looking to change things up. read more

I have been here a few time for the Reggae/Soca party that is hosted there once a month. Energy is Crazy !!!! Different Djs come in so it is always fresh !!! Hookah up stairs, but I do not smoke. I come to Vybe and check out the ladies. Always a sexy crowd and a police officer at the door. Will be there in fact Saturday for Reggae vs Soca Glow Party. Definitely recommend this place if you want to leave tired !!!! read more

If I could give them no stars, I would. Hookahs are $30 for less than half of the service you would receive in nearby metro areas such as Columbia SC or ATL. The mouthpiece they give you to fit the hookah hoses do not fit. Like the employee that worked there told us that we have to "work it in" the hookah hose to "make it fit." You have to climb stairs to go to the hookah lounge area and on top of that, if you want to get drinks you better order it before you go upstairs to the hookah lounge. Also, plan on carrying those drinks upstairs to by yourself with no assistance. And I feel for you if you're a hookah smoker and have to use the restroom. Guess what! You have to go back downstairs to use the bathroom too. Oh and before you enter, there's a cover charge of a couple of dollars ($3-5 per person). Never going back unless there's a change in management/ownership and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone read more
