My girlfriend ordered the Egg foo young which she said was just okay. The friend rice had too much soy sauce/salt for my taste. I order the shrimp and lobster sauce which came with white rice. The dish felt more like a soup with the amount of sauce they give you. I would order the fish again, but with more white rice. Got their hot and sour soup and one of their combos. Their food is really good especially for the price, but it is a little bit on the sweeter side in my opinion. Don't expect your food fast here. They lost my ticket twice. All I ordered was a PINT of mixed vegetables and a small egg drop soup. I waited 20 minutes for the two items. People that came in after me got their food before me. DoorDash orders on the tablet were made before my order. Mind you... ALL the orders came in after mine. Also, while you are waiting in the restaurant, you are literally cooking inside the little waiting area. It is like a sauna in there. (Which is fine during the WINTER TIME, but during the spring/summertime, you are melting inside the little restaurant. Don't even ask if there is a bathroom you can utilize (to wash your hands before you eat) while you wait inside restaurant... NONE available to customers. Ever since I could remember, me and my family have been coming here since we moved to Georgia many years ago. We always enjoyed the buffet together and the manager would always remember us since we were very frequent visitors. I always enjoyed the chicken n' broccoli, lo mein, chicken of the stick( this dish was my sister's all time favorite), fried rice, sugar donuts, pepper steak, sesame chicken, other dishes. They used to serve desserts but they stopped for some reason, but either way this restaurant holds so many precious and strong memories that I'd like to hold on to for many years to come. Wonderful food, great service and have to try the distance unless your close by like in North Augusta or Downtown Augusta, but this restaurant is truly worth it. :) read more

I called in and ordered 60.00 worth of food, once I was giving the two bags I asked the lady behind the counter she that it was so left. I get home and I'm missing a quart of shrimp lo mein and white rice. My wife called the store and explained to them what we were missing. Over the phone we were treated as if we were lying and the lady told us to pack up all of the food and bring it back. "60.00 worth of food" I asked will we be cooked a new order since I had to pack up the order? Then the lady proceeded to say just come in. We get to the restaurant with the receipt in hand and the store rep stated they don't answer the phones and she doesn't know what's going on. We explained what we were missing and she basically told us we're lying and that she packed it her self. Again I assured her that the items were missing. Plus my wife was not backing down. This is one of my all time Chinese restaurants!! These sesame chicken is AMAZING! The lo mein AMAZING! I used to work in this plaza and I would go here for lunch all the time. Their lunch buffet is very reasonable and the food was always fresh. I'm assuming the man who works the counter owns the place because he's always there and he is so incredibly nice. Even when I haven't been their in a while he remembers me and calls me his "little friend" he would always ask me how was work and it made my day. But I wanted Hot and Sour soup. So I turned the car off and went in. Nothing much upon entering. Still uncertain. Ordered anyways. Ate in. Got the Soup: Was Great, with some white pepper added. Also ordered orange Chicken which was crunchy but not hard and not too sweet. Also ordered spring rolls. Everything was great and the service was super kind. For the Augusta area, this is among the best Chinese food I've had. My 4-star rating is based on the food only. The actual restaurant is a dump, but I have had lots of great food from dumpy places all over the world. Get take out. Totally obscure in a North Augusta strip shopping center (Publix/K-Mart). The food is excellent. Owners/chefs are Chinese and do not speak very good English, but they know how to cook! Some of the dishes I have had there include: -Chicken wings (they have a variety of flavors) -Potstickers/fried dumplings (really good) -Hot and sour soup - very good -white rice cooked properly -spring rolls - nice and not over-fried or dripping with oil -sweet and sour pork - very basic, good red sauce -beef with garlic sauce - tender meat and veggies, good sauce -Kung pao shrimp - good and had a proper amount of peanuts/peanut flavor Their menu has all the usual Chinese dishes you would expect. I don't get the hype. It is a rundown SUPER barebones Chinese "buffet" in a strip mall. Personally, I wouldn't eat anything off the buffet. The sauces were all congealed as if it had been sitting there for a long time and most of the items were not restocked regularly. Funny enough, the owner's wife (I'm assuming of course) was curled up in one of the booths taking a nap during the lunch rush with pillow and everything! Seeing this, I decided to order takeout. Beware the "pint" is a ripoff. Instead of getting an actual pint of a dish, he uses the normal takeout bowl (the small black bottom with plastic lid type, not the big stryofoam ones) and fills it a quarter of the way, the other half is plain white rice, and the remaining quarter is just empty. My beef with vegetables was decent, but quantity was severely lacking. Add to it, the fact that this place ONLY takes cash (no debit, no credit, no nothing). It's not worth the hassle for such small portions to patronize these folks. Happy China II by MCG is far better. read more

It was okay. I ordered sesame chicken, pork fried rice and 5 piece wing (the basics). I've had better but it's not the worst the sesame chicken was okay and the egg roll was so-so. Would I go there again probably not, but I gave it a three stars because they did have brown rice instead of yellow and I HATE yellow rice. The lady was kind of rude. But I think she didn't speak English very well. The guy in the back was nice calling everybody "My friend" very cheerful. Oh and it's cash only so I had to go to Publix for cash. This is, has and will always be my favorite Chinese restaurant. The male owner is always friendly and remembers a face. This is a one bar buffet, but is extremely and amazingly better than any of the buffets I have been to that have several bars. The prices have changed very little even though the economy has changed. I think he should be charging a little more. I would like for him to up date the decor but I am guessing he cannot afford to due to the low cost of his food. Love, LOVE this place. read more

I've tried Chinese all over Augusta but this little hole in the wall is my favorite by far! The prices are beyond great, food is wonderful and service is quick! Mr Chang is so friendly and helpful, especially if you are a frequenter. The actual building and booths leave much to be desired but what it lacks there is made up for with the stellar customer service and great food!
