The food absolutely delivered. The ribeye was the standout. Juicy. Tender. Packed with smoky, grilled flavor in every bite. It had that perfect char on the outside while staying incredibly flavorful and moist inside. Definitely the star of the meal. The chicken was just as impressive. Well-seasoned. Perfectly cooked. Every bite was tender with a hint of sweetness and that signature Hawaiian-style barbecue flavor that keeps you coming back for more. Don't overlook the rice. Soft. Moist. Buttery. It soaked up every bit of flavor from the meats and tied the whole plate together. Simple, but done exactly right. The restaurant was busy, which speaks to how popular it is. The staff looked a little overwhelmed during the rush, and you could tell an extra set of hands would've helped. Even so, everyone remained friendly, worked hard, and never let the quality of the food slip. If you're willing to be a little patient during peak hours, you'll be rewarded with a meal that's absolutely worth the wait. It's giving... the kitchen clocked in while the dining room was playing catch-up. read more

Ambience. B Service. A Food. A Price. B Found in strip mall next to Kroger. Lots of parking lot spaces. Booths and tables in brightly lit finding room. Service was quick to seat and take orders. Love they give complimentary pork rinds to snack on. Friends order masubi - spam nori wrapped rice. Nice. 3 for $9.50? I see different prices online vs menu. The shrimp tempura was okay for fried shrimp. And friends garlic fried chicken was good. I had the double meat plate. And wanted small but they charged me regular charged for $30. 3 slices of short ribs extra $6 up charge for 3 pieces ?! and 1/4 lb of pork belly bites. Also orders kimchee of cucumbers and cabbage. Nice flavors and not overly spicy. I do think they forgot to give me my rice. For $30. Thought this was a bit high for what I got. Food is delicious. Service. Good. Just not sure of how the portions are created for platters. My fiends dish for one items were under $15. Oh well...shall keep an eye on portions and prices in future. Will still go back but así es toy what get for the price I am paying. A. Small order vs regular order. read more

Visited Hawaiian Style BBQ under the new ownership, and even though a few items I had enjoyed in the past were no longer available, it didn't take away from the overall experience at all. The food still felt authentic and full of true Hawaiian flavor. Coming from a family with roots in the Big Island and Maui, I can appreciate when a place captures that genuine island-style taste and atmosphere. One thing that really stood out was how they start you off with fresh in-house made pork rinds, similar to how Mexican restaurants serve chips and salsa when you sit down. It was a unique and welcoming touch. We ordered the spicy poke, Spam musubis, and a mixed BBQ plate with two scoops of mac salad. Everything was flavorful, fresh, and satisfying. The mac salad especially had that classic island-style taste that's hard to find done right. The staff was friendly, the decor looked great, and the restaurant had a warm, inviting feel. Definitely worth checking out if you're looking for authentic Hawaiian comfort food. read more

Service was truly excellent. They start you with complimentary pork rinds. I ordered the garlic chicken BBQ bowl and it was really flavorful. This dish had a pit more teriyaki influence than I was expecting but still delicious. Want to come back here to try other things on the menu. Very large portions. Casual ambiance that is perfect for a lunch outing. read more

WOW. Price, value, quality. From Top to bottom Hawaiian Style BBQ is a 5 star restaurant. I ordered the 2 meat plate. Hawaiian Chicken and Short Rib with a side of Hawaiian rolls, cabbage kimchi, and macaroni salad. Everything I had was amazing. My girl ordered the pork plate. I personally liked the pork more than the short rib, but my girl preferred the short rib. Everything was flavored amazingly. My new favorite restaurant in Augusta. read more

Hawaiian Style BBQ - BBQ COMBO PLATE LARGE (marinated grilled chicken, beef teriyaki, beef short ribs). White rice and macaroni salad. - Hawaiian Near Me - Augusta, Georgia

Walking into Hawaiian Style BBQ in Augusta felt like stepping back onto the islands. I was immediately greeted by a warm, friendly mohine who made me feel right at home. Hawaiian music was playing in the background, setting the perfect vibe. I've visited Hawaii many times, and I can honestly say this is one of the best Hawaiian restaurants I've been to on the mainland. Period. Food: They started us off with chicharrón (pork rinds) that were seasoned perfectly--crispy, flavorful, and I'm pretty sure they were made in-house. Absolutely delicious. I paired my meal with their lilikoi party punch (with rum), and it was phenomenal--sweet, tangy, refreshing, and not too strong. For my main plate, I ordered the Hungry Hawaiian lunch plate, which included Korean BBQ short ribs, kalua pork, and Hawaiian BBQ chicken, with rice, mac salad, and kalua cabbage. The portions were enormous--easily enough to feed 3-4 people. I ate half and still had plenty left over. * The kalua pork was tender, juicy, and full of authentic island flavor. * The Korean BBQ short ribs were cut perfectly, melt-in-your-mouth tender, and clearly marinated for at least 24-48 hours. * The BBQ chicken was smoky, juicy, and absolutely spot-on. Service & Ambiance: Service was outstanding--attentive, kind, and welcoming. My server, Shonnalynn, was one of the best servers I've had during my entire stay in Augusta. She was attentive, genuine, and truly made me feel at home. That level of care elevated the whole experience. Hats off to the kitchen as well--Ms. Megan, the chef, is one of the better auntie cooks I've had the pleasure of tasting from here in Georgia. Her flavors, execution, and authenticity brought me right back to the islands. The atmosphere overall was pure kamaʻāina (family-style comfort), making you feel like you were eating in a Hawaiian home. Extras: For dessert, I tried the banana fritter, deep-fried hopia-style, dusted with powdered sugar and drizzled with caramel. It was the perfect sweet finish. Another nice touch: the menu also features Filipino dishes, which shows how the owners beautifully blend Hawaiian and Filipino culture into their food. Final Verdict: This is hands-down a must-try spot in Augusta if you're looking for something beyond southern food. Hawaiian Style BBQ delivers authentic island flavors, generous portions, and heartfelt service. I'll absolutely be back--and I 100% recommend it to anyone in town. Mahalo! read more

We absolutely LOVE the food here but they now close at 5 pm and the falling quality of service have kept us away.

First, the waitress was very welcoming and kind. Complimentary pork rinds came out, what a tasty snack. I got the 2 meat combo which comes with 3 sides. The pulled pork was very salty, but these are soy sauce based bbq sauces. Teriyaki beef was yummy and those sweet potato fries were definitely handcut! This is one of the better places to eat in the area. read more

First food stop in Augusta for the Masters. The great reviews weren't lying. I would give it a solid 4.5 / 5 stars. Worlds better than an L&L and surprisingly good for a smaller town in Georgia. The complementary pork rinds were icing on the cake. The decorations were fitting with Hirie playing in the background. I joked to my uncle to order a drink and show his Hawaiian ID. The food was very good. Mac salad hit the spot and the kalbi was great. The kimchi sides were a nice touch to balance the rice. I saw the adobo on the menu and was bummed we weren't there on the right day to try it. I'll try to work our schedule around when we visit the Masters next time. read more

Hawaiian Style BBQ - Hungry Hawaiian platter Katsu shrimp& garlic shrimp Have been craving Hawaiian food since our trip to Hawaii and we weren't disappointed. - Hawaiian Near Me - Augusta, Georgia

I got the shrimp and chicken plate with panko shrimp and garlic chicken. For sides I got rice, sweet potato fries, and cabbage. I did take out. SUPER cute vine inside will def need to come back for the decor! I loved seeing the tiki glasses when I was waiting the drinks look beautiful! Loved the chicken and shrimp! Seasoned PERFECT! Also sooo crispy. The garlic chicken had the perfect balance of sweet and savory. The cabbage was well seasoned. Was very disappointed in the sweet potato fries. The portion was small and they were not crispy or seasoned. They were also supposed to be waffle fries. But I LOVED that they gave you 3 sauces. Didn't care for the bbq but loved the sweet chilli and bang bang sauce. Probably some of the best food you'll eat around here read more

Great food and customer service. My friend was visiting Augusta, so we decided to try this place out and we both thought it was decent. The grill chicken bowl with rice was a clean meal packed with protein, yet extremely savory because the chicken was grilled and marinated well. You can also customize the bowl by choosing two meat choices and the option to add or remove vegetable options. They also give free fried pork skin as appetizer, which was nice. The cons of this place was the price. We both thought it was fairly expensive and my friend thought the kimchi wasn't that good. The bowl looks pretty small, but it's actually packed with rice and really filling. If you like fresh kimchi, it's not bad, but if you like the fermented kinds, this isn't it. The staff was very friendly and helpful in explaining to us first timers on what a Hawaiian bbq is. Definitely will be back! read more

Aloha from Oahu, Hawaii! Very blessed by the service here. I haven't eaten real Hawaiian food since leaving Hawaii and this has been the closest I've been able to get to home. The hostess, server and chef were all very kind and allowed me to sample the poke before committing to making a full order. My partner and I both had the poke bowl, 2 choice of protein: garlic chicken, and bbq chicken. 10/10 The serving size is big and worth it. We also had the musubis and it was spot on! I'm a BIG fan of all things Hawaii, and this place brings the aloha spirit to Augusta, GA. This food made me feel all the feels and took me back to the foodtrucks on Kauai. The service was excellent and the reccommendations were on-point. The portions are huge, and there's no way you'll leave hungry. I got the BBQ chicken and my husband got the kalua pork. If you do nothing else, don't sleep on the lumpia appetizer. Made from scratch and delicious! You absolutely MUST try their mai tais, because they're so affordable and come in the most adorable, quality tiki glasses! If you are like me and want to take a tiki glass home, they're only $15. It is a little hot in the restaurant, so if you're temperature sensitive, grab it to-go. Otherwise, pull up a chair and enjoy some 5 star Hawaiian cuisine! read more

Wanted something different for lunch today so we stopped into this place and what a surprise. The Loco Moco is just what I needed. Katie was superb. It's a strip mall place next to a Kroger, but step into a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Two sides o the menu - Hawaiian and Filipino. Two ways to make your tummy happy. We started with the spring rolls. Long and hot from the frying. Perfect. My brother ordered the short ribs which were liked candied pieces of deliciousness. I had the Hawaiian pork and mom had the garlic shrimp. Soooo much garlic. The shrimp weren't my favorite. But the Pork BBQ was tender, moist, and really good. Sides were all tasty: the Cabbage kimchi, the sweet potato fries, and the Must-Have steamed cabbage. read more

I don't hand out 5 stars lightly, but we couldn't find anything wrong with Hawaiian Style BBQ. A warm greeting at the door with smiles all around. Take your time perusing the menu, not because it too much to see, there is a lot of information about what each dish is. And if you have questions, no problem, they are happy to help you decide. Shona was our hostess with the mostess last night, and she's phenomenal! From drink recommendations to deciding dinner, she had all the insights. We shared, yes shared, the Hungry Hawaiian, and ended up with leftovers. The meats were tender and tasty along with cucumber kimchi. The lumpia and poke nachos were amazing as well. Aloha! This place took me back to when I lived on Oahu, great vibes and music with North Shore style decor. The service was awesome and the workers have great recommendations, make sure you get the Guava juice! My buddy and I got the Garlic Chicken, spicy and regular which was fantastic when combined with the Hawaiian sweet rolls. I'm not a huge macaroni salad fan but my buddy got a double serving of it and said it's some of the best he's had. He got the beef also but said it was kind of dry, but there is an assortment of sauces on the table to help if needed. I can't wait to go back to try the short rib which was a favorite of mine in Hawaii, glad this spot is here now to offer something new and fresh in the CSRA. read more

First of all, I am mad at myself for not getting hot food/Hawaiian BBQ. It's in the name. Get what they're known for. I got poke and it was not what I expected. You definitely get your money's worth but I didn't expect the fish part to be completely marinated and no other components. It was very one-note. I have to say the tuna pieces were a good size and tasted fresh. I really appreciate good fish. The rice comes on the side if you order it as a side? The cucumber kimchi which I got on the side was my favorite part of my meal. I also got veg lumpia but the filling was not really what I expected. The outside was cooked perfectly. I think next time I would def try one of their cooked dishes. (This is not a poke place, ok?) The canned juice I got was the bomb. Pass-o-Guava Nectar. Thank you, everything tastes good. I will be full despite my above comments. Also, delivery was a mess, literally. The sauce leaked all over the side of the bag. read more

Server very informative and patient on explaining the meals. Ambience is relaxing with Hawaiin music playing in the background. I ordered the half pound of poke. I did like it. read more
