I loved their hole in the wall Korean bbq restaurant. Unfortunately I got there with only 30 minutes left before kitchen closed so I only got to try out their beef brisket. The briskets are my usual go to orders at all you can eat Korean bbq restaurants, but because they were closing, I was able to get the à la cart order. So how was it? Fantastic! Light charred taste, tender, and with an array of dipping sauces, I devoured their 300g portion and wished I ordered more. There are a handful of sides that also come such as kimchi and bean sprouts. Next time, I'll definitely be coming earlier for the all you can eat option! From what I saw, the all you can eat menu is broken down into Option A or B, each option providing a list of different cuts of meats. Highly recommend this place. read more

Place was small but the food was delicious. Service was really great as well. I was a little afraid to try after reading some of the reviews but we didn't experience any bad service. The place fills up quickly so thankful we went early. Banchan (side dishes) tasted fresh and they constantly asked if we would like refills. The corn cheese was also tasty - good mix of sweet corn with the saltiness of the cheese. I really enjoyed the tofu soup as an appetizer. As part of the combo you have to pick one type and it comes out in a big pot for all to share. It was boiling hot when it came out and the broth was very flavorful. Tofu was nice and silky soft. The 2 platters of meat came out sizzling hot and they were perfectly seasoned. You get a small dipping plate and I enjoyed the sesame oil with salt and pepper the most, in addition to the gochujang on the side. There was a lot of food and I'm glad we got the combo instead of stressing out about what to get them to cook next. Took about an hour for us to get and eat our meal and I have to agree that it's probably the best in this area. Can't really get better than this unless you're cooking it yourself and the counties here will not allow open flames in restaurants. (will not be able to ever do a true cook yourself KBBQ like the many ones in ATL) We didn't get to hang out after eating amongst ourselves very much as there were already people waiting on a table and we wanted them to be able to enjoy an awesome meal as well! Been twice now and have had great experiences. Service was pretty speedy even with them being busy. Would go early at 5pm because they fill up fast and it's not super big. We've gone as a group of 4 and order meal c and left super full...2 large platter of kbbq meat, a soup (3 to choose from but we love the tofu soup), cheesy corn, salad and banchan (they have an interesting wasabi cucumber)). Haven't tried the AYCE since we're worried it would take longer to get our food. I do wish they would tell us which cut of meat when they bring out the trays so in case we wanted to add a la carte we'd know which to add. Also love the dipping sauces the sesame oil is my favorite. read more

This is the first time I have tried Korean BBQ. The inside of the restaurant is slightly small. The menu was a little confusing. The combos were cheaper than the entrees, so I'm not sure if I was reading it incorrectly. The waitress dropped off a bunch of dishes but didn't explain what any of them were. It may just have been my ignorance, but I had no idea what we were eating. I asked the table next to us and they said the same so maybe it's not just me! I ordered the chicken bulgogi, and it came with a ton of food. The food was delicious, but I found it to be pricey. I enjoyed the wasabi picklesand whatever dressing came on the salad. It was yellow and had the consistency of applesauce and was very sweet. From what I have heard from friends the all you can eat is a bargain. All in all, good lunch. I'm glad this restaurant opened in Augusta, I've been craving kbbq for a while and always had to drive to Atlanta to eat it. The food here tastes just as good if not better than the ones there. The meat was great. I loved the brisket and the flavor was good. Seating is very limited so come early if you want to eat or be willing to wait for an hour. The corn cheese here is absolutely delicious. The pickled and kimchi side dishes alright. I would like to try their entrees next time. However the service was a little off putting as the servers/owner? wasn't very friendly when I went and I felt so uncomfortable I just wanted to hurry up and finish my food so I could leave. Beware of ordering the all you can eat because they don't seem to be happy when you do that. I would stick with ordered the platter or an entree. I don't like writing bad reviews but the way they treated me ruined my whole meal and experience. Honestly this place is pricey but I don't even care about that. I just care about normal service and being able to eat without feeling judged or unwelcome. I have been here twice and the all you can eat is the only reasonable option here with a few caveats... The normal entrees taste great but come with virtually no protein, so I unfortunately left hungry. If this was their only option I would give 2 stars. But the all you eat is a different story. The all you can eat starts at $37 and was very good. They have a ton of options, and the bulgogi, spicy chicken, and regular chicken were the best. The pork was decent but the other three are better. I would give it 5 stars if the service was quicker. Unfortunately it took 30 minutes between orders, so even though I paid for the all you can eat, I left before I was truly full because it had been 2 hours to get 3 orders... No reservation so there is bound to be a wait. There were three of us so we decided to do what they seem to push based on limited single serve options. Family style dinners. They also have all you can eat options. We chose combo a that days it feeds 2-3 people. With the extras side dishes and normal sides Korean food comes with. It can easily feed three and 4 conservatively. This combo comes with 4 different types of meat, rice, soup and cheese corn. All the meat tasted great but to add to it, they bring three sauces to enhance the flavors. Very good food. Best-tasting KBBQ in Augusta. It's great food. Too bad the service is horrible if you order all you can eat (AYCE). Seriously. If you go here, literally order an entree or the lunch special. Don't ask for any free handouts. Or the servers will judge you by staring daggers down your back, giving you the side eye, and making you feel uncomfortable for even existing in their establishment. I originally went yesterday (Saturday) with my friend, a party of two. We went at 7pm, and there was a waitlist. We asked if they take reservations, and the person who spoke with us said that they only have 8 tables and, as a result, cannot take reservations. We were also told that the restaurant closed at 9:30pm (even though Google and Yelp said that it closed at 10pm), so if we were seated past 8pm, we were not allowed to order AYCE because we needed at least 1.5 hours to eat that. What? That should be stated outright on their business page: "No all you can eat past 8PM." So we went today (Sunday) at 4:45pm, and we were seated in a relatively empty restaurant that already had only 2 parties seated. I ordered the Plan A AYCE option, and the lady taking our order warned us, "if you get all you can eat, then you both have to get it." I mean, of course? How else would they stop us from sharing food? It makes sense that we'd both get it, and we understood before she warned us. We tried to order meats 1-4 (1. beef brisket, 2. grilled chuck roll, 3. sauteed chuck roll, 4. beef cuts), and the server told us that #3 was more like a soup and we shouldn't try to sample all 10 things available to us under the Plan A option. So she made us choose something that's not #3. So we went with 1, 2, 4, 5 (5. pork belly) to start off with. I thought it was weird, like it's okay if #3 came out as soup. We just wanted to try different kinds of beef here. Then, we were moved from our 4-seater table to a table that seats up to 6 people. Which I thought was weird at first, but it made sense once they brought out all of the side dishes that came with the AYCE. They took up a lot of space. We started grazing on the banchan and corn cheese. They brought out the tofu stew (soondubu) and it was better than the tofu soup that you can find at Seoul Korean Kitchen in the same area. They brought out the meat on a sizzling iron platter. It looked glorious. We happily ate the meat with our side dishes. But then it went downhill from there. I asked them for ssamjang (spicy soybean paste) to eat with our meat, and they gave it to us without comment, no "yes" or "of course." Then we asked for more meat. #1, 3, 7 (7. spicy marinated pork). The server warned us again that it was a soup, and we insisted that it was okay. The server left with our order. I asked the male server who was just standing around if we could get more side dishes because we already finished them all. He asked which ones, and we said all of them. He left without a word and with an annoyed-looking side glance. My friend then asked the male server when he passed by again if we could get more corn cheese. He stopped to listen, but then he left without responding. The soup #3 came first, then the side dishes, then the #1 and 7 on the same plate, then the corn cheese. We then realized that we ran out of sesame oil, and my friend was feeling skittish about asking him for something again, so I just asked him for more oil. He gave us tiny portions of oil. At this point, we just wanted to leave. We weren't in a good mood anymore, and we felt like we wanted to finish the food just so we could be out of the restaurant. We finished our food by the time we ordered more, so I don't really get what the attitude is about. What kind of ALL you can eat is it where you are constantly judged for every additional thing you order? It might be because we were a party of two women with somewhat small body types, so they probably didn't realize we would eat as much as we ordered. Oh well, we finished literally all of the food on the table, got up as soon as we finished, paid, gave our tip, and left. This would have been a 4 star review for me because the food was pretty good for satisfying a Kbbq craving. But the customer service was so bad that I have to ding 2 stars off of it. What a gem to have in the CSRA! This is the type of place I would go to the Duluth area for and now it's right in Columbia County! If you want very high quality meat at a very reasonable price with delicious Korean side dishes and soups, you're not going to find better in this area. We got All You Can Eat (AYCE) Option B and for two people, a warning that this is A LOT of food. We will definitely order one of the combos the next time. Despite that, we gave it a good shot and got through the majority of what was in front of us. The AYCE options and combos come with unlimited banchans (ie, kimchi, pickled radish, bean sprout salad, cucumber), rice, a choice of stew: doenjang (soybean paste), tofu, or kimchi, and corn cheese. Unlike many KBBQ places, Chef JK's expertly cooks the meats for you and it is brought to your table all cooked - don't despair! The beef was so tender and juicy, and the pork was excellent. You also get three different oils/seasonings for your meats: salt/pepper/oil, chimichurri, and sesame oil. The service was attentive, funny, and they definitely work as a team. The meats also took a little bit to come out, but I suspect that they are still working out some kinks as they recently opened. Still worth it and I can't wait for my next meal there (once I finish digesting all of this delicious food from yesterday...:)). I had the marinated beef short ribs plus the side dishes. I thought that I was going to be disappointed because I like the Korean BBQ locations where you can cook your own food at your table. But I must say I'm impressed. The food is seasoned well and tastes so delicious. I wish their Kim Chee was more spicy but I understand they are serving to the public so it has to be milder. Besides, I'm the type that goes to Asian and Indian restaurants and tell them I want their traditional level of spiciness. The waitress took her time explaining the menu and every side dish that came out. The only downside, if I had to find one, is they don't offer many seafood items such as spicy squid or octopus.
