The food was good I would recommend the wings and the service was good and it was relatively quiet and the kid on the iPad was very nice

Im not sure what's going on with this restaurant. They used to have excellent food, healthy portions at a great price. Last couple times we've eaten there the quality has gone down. The food is not what it used too be. They are putting the almond gravy in a small bowl on the side and its never enough for the whole meal, unless you purchase another bowl at an additional cost, my chicken was over cooked to the point of hard, my wonton soup was orange and the dumplings were dyed orange too...not sure what they are doing there, but its been a sad disappointment the last couple of times. I think they have changed hands because there was an older couple running before. Very disappointed....this was one of my favorite places! read more

The food actually pretty good it is expensive but they give you a lot in your plate sometimes and it always tastes fresh and it's only a 15 to 20 minute wait the lady there is so nice read more

Very good food. Freshly cooked.fast service. Called ahead ready at pickup. Friendly staff .

I ordered shrimp and broccoli this morning it was nasty I will never eat here again the shrimp was tiny and the crab ragoon has too much garlic I give it a 0 out of 10 read more

Ok atmosphere, food is definitely overpriced. Owner is a bit arrogant!!! Won't be coming back!!

This is always a go-to for my Chinese hankering. Their food is fresh and never greasy. You don't get that miserably stuffed feeling. The wonton soup is the absolute best and the staff is always friendly! This place never disappoints me. I'm always willing to wait in line (like four cars deep) in the drive thru to place my order and that means a lot! Keep doing what you do Sun Kwong read more

Sun Kwong Chinese Restaurant - Drive thru menu. Everything they can serve is not listed. I.E. wonton soup - Chinese Near Me - Augusta, Georgia

With all honesty, I've been really itching to try this place, but now I regret it. I wish they would update their menu for they had changed their prices so instead of sesame chicken, I purchased the teriyaki chicken only it didn't look like chicken at all. It looked greasy and disgusting and it didn't look cooked at all. I went to many chinese places in Augusta, North Augusta and Evans and many of them were great, but this is not one of them. read more

Sun Kwong Chinese Restaurant - Sesame chicken and Chinese wings with ham fried rice - Chinese Near Me - Augusta, Georgia

I went to this Chinese place today and got this I took it back and the lady was trying to tell me this was cooked. I'm like ain't no way this is happening. Like almost 10 minutes of her arguing by herself saying it's cooked. If you can cook you can see this isn't cooked. it's clearly uncooked... read more

I read the ratings for this restaurant as my husband and I were in the area and wanted Chinese Food. Some ratings were 5 stars and another was 1. We decided to try it ourselves. This restaurant has been here 18years. Food was pretty good for fast Chinese Food. Very tasty, not greasy, served quickly and our plates were huge. My husband had the Shrimp Chow Mein lunch special and I had Shrimp Chop Suey... VERERRY GOOOD! We return again soon! read more

The price is different every time i go and i get the same thing every time :) i prefer shrimp fried rice and got few shrimp along with pork and chicken. I ordered shrimp fried rice. My past visits i never had pork or chicken. The customer service is terrible and Sun Kwong is amazing.... if you wanna waste your money. read more

Spoiler alert...it was pretty good. I've been searching for fresh, tasty Chinese food and this definitely was that. I ordered takeout and it was ready relatively quickly. The rice was fresh and had a good shrimp/veggie/rice balance. The wings were very tasty. The type of Chinese wings I've been looking for every since Chinese restaurants started serving flavored wings instead. All in all this was a positive experience but it didn't "wow" me. I'll definitely be back. read more

Sun Kwong Chinese Restaurant - C19 - Chinese Near Me - Augusta, Georgia

The absolute worst food ever! Bad egg rolls. Bad spring rolls. Bad hot & sour soup. Really bad combination dinners.

I've been going to this place for YEARS. It used to be amazing, especially when the grandfather was in charge of everything. The mom was nice, her daughter even more so. I've never ever had a problem with them (other than being a little pricey over the past couple years but oh well) before tonight. My experience tonight was so poor that I will never go back. I sent my husband to go pickup dinner. I wanted the drummet dinner with pork fried rice with no onions since I have an allergy. He wanted the same thing but with onions. I guess the "drummet dinner" has been taken off the menu in the past year because whoever was on the other side of the speaker just said no. So he ordered two boxes of pork fried rice, one of course with no onions, and a bag of wings. He repeated his order three times and was told to pull up. When he got home both boxes of rice were loaded with onions. I called and they said they would remake it. I get there and they DEMAND to see our food. The granddaughter said over the phone that she took the order and remembered it. After going back and forth with her mom, who refused to speak to me even though I know she speaks English, she changed her story and said that it was hard to hear the order and that she didn't hear the part about no onions. The mother tried to make the girl pay for the remake of my rice. I guess she wanted to originally charge me?? Im not sure but after that and the mother yelling at her daughter in front of me for five minutes, I won't be going back. That's absolutely ridiculous. read more

I basically just paid $15.00 for About $4.00 worth of food. It was mediocre slop that reminded me of that awful canned Chinese stuff we used to get from the store in the late 60s and early 70s, I think it was called "Chung King," seriously, something like you would imagine would be served in a prison. Maybe I am a spoiled American. Maybe I will live to see the time when I am so hungry that I would be extremely thankful to eat something like I got at Sun Kwong today. That is a depressing thought. read more

I've had previous marginally positive experiences here but not today. I ordered Hot & Sour soup, whatever this is, it's not hot and sour soup. It's some kind of heated broth gelatin with tofu and bits of egg in it. No flavor and not soup consistency. It is inedible which sucks on a short lunch break when you're sick. It's also way more expensive than the same from other area Chinese eateries, I won't order from here again and don't recommend it to anyone. read more

This is the worst Chinese place I have been to here. Everything I got was soggy and tasted bad. The boneless spare ribs were beef not pork. I was hopeing that this hole in the wall was good but was sadly mistaken. read more

Try their fried rice it's the only one I will eat in the area. I've been going there for years same family and same taste. Closest taste of Up North Chinese fried rice which is why I keep going. No vegetables in fried rice except bean sprouts and onions just like home... read more

You cant beat there prices for the amount of food you get.If your a picky eater they got you covered you can take out and add what you want. They are a family run place mom and pop style and friendly. They speak english pretty well so none of that what did you say you get at other places.I have been eating there food for 29 years now and have ate everywhere in augusta but this place cant be beat. I Don't understand the bad reviews if my food wasn't prefect they fixed it no problem.plus they are pretty quick to get you your food. Its worth checking out. read more

only thing decent are the wings and house rice. Everything else is subpar. Their health score is an 82. Will not be going there again.

This place is terrible. Even my brother, who eats ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING, didn't finish his meal! The food was way soggy and waaaayyy salty. We were laughing at how gross it was. But it's really terrible. The only flavor was salt. read more

My family and I have been coming to this place for a very long time. Probably since it was built. So we've had a quite good share of the menu over the years. Sun Kwong is kinda 1 of the typical Chinese food restaurants you see around here in the Augusta area. The food has sometimes been hit or mess over the years and time. I'd say that the cream cheese wontons and the drummete chicken wings are my faves & go tos from here. You have to be on the lookout on the chicken wings though! They tend to leave the hair on them from time to time. I don't know about you but I don't care to see any hair on my chicken wings period! I'm not about that life! I have noticed this is with quite a few places that you get chicken wings from, and there's people that like or don't mind that jank too. Not this dude!! Also, the fried rices except the regular ham fried rice come with bean sprouts too. I don't care for those either, but that's me. Be sure to say that you don't want those if you ever happen to order the fried rice and you don't care to have them in there. The family that owns this place are very nice and friendly. They have a drive thru and also a small dine area in case you wanted to enjoy your food there. read more

The chicken wings we so tiny and usually they have large ones and the meat looked greyish . Not happy.

This place has the absolute BEST Chinese food around here. They aren't open on Mondays which sucks but I've never had anything bad from this place. We always call in and carry out. They're usually pretty fast. It's family run and it SHOWS. The food is always FANTASTIC!!!!!! read more

We ordered general tso and sesame chicken. Both were bland and mushy. The rice was barely edible. My soda (mello yello) had no carbonation and was pure syrup. Will not eat there again. $17 wasted. read more

I love Chinese food. This is the worst I have ever had. Stay away!! Even the coke tasted bad.

The wings were not like the normal fried chicken wings that you would get from a typical Chinese spot, very unsatisfied.

I started going here because I heard their steamed dumplings were really good, which they are and I do love them. However, this is the only reason I will ever be back. After a few trips for the dumplings I decided to branch out and try something else off the menu. I went with the teriyaki chicken because no Chinese place screws up teriyaki chicken, right? Wrong! I am Not a picky eater by any means and will eat anything you put in front of me, but the teriyaki chicken was without a doubt the most disgusting thing I've ever puty in my mouth. I can honestly say I've never tasted anything like it. I give it two stars for the sweet and speedy staff, but if you're not there for the dumplings just go!! read more

I will NEVER spend another cent in this place. Worst food and service EVER. If they make an error in your order, don't expect them to care or try to make it right. I paid $13 for a tiny bit of vegetables(I've had frozen steamables that were better) and about a quart of rice. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!! read more
