We're on the look out for our go-to Chinese takeout since moving to the area, and China Wok did not disappoint! I tried the pork lo mien, chicken fried rice, and fried pork wontons. The wontons were by far my favorite part! The rice and noodles were slightly underwhelming, just lacking a certain something. I had to add a good bit of soy sauce and hi sauce to liven the flavor up to my liking. But with the fast service and nice faces, I'd say I will probably be back! read more

I have had a craving for Chinese chicken wings and after searching everywhere this was the closest quick service take out restaurant that had them on the menu. We placed a phone order and were told it would take about 20 minutes. As expected, our order was fresh and waiting for my husband when he got there. We ordered lunch specials that all came with fried rice. I got the Chinese chicken wings, they were a little dry and not as juicy as I had hoped. But the flavor I was looking for was there. The dumplings were flavorful. My husband ordered sweet and sour chicken and it was a large portion and he said it was delicious as well as the side of egg roll. The egg roll was cooked perfectly, everything inside was cooked well and the outside was not over cooked, a complaint he usually has for other establishments. I'm still on the hunt for the best Chinese chicken wings in the CSRA, but would order from China Wok again to try other items on the menu. read more

I love this place. My family and I love eating here. Everything always tastes fresh and flavorful. We've been coming here for over 5 years. I always get the beef and broccoli with plain noodles, which my 5 yr old destroys. It's so good. We also get the egg flower and wonton soup. The sesame chicken was good and I only had to spend $6.79 for the lunch special and I'm not complaining. I was in the extreme mood for chinese food and after going by Teryiaki Express and seeing what they had and considering how much I was willing to spend, I came here instead and especially since I was in the area as I needed to go shopping that Friday. First off, the customer service today was a 5/5! However, the food lacked alot of the flavor that I'm used to in takeout Chinese spots. I usually order a big house fried rice super spicy and it comes out good. However, I didn't really taste anything, no spice, no seasoning, no taste of soy and also it had no veggies or eggs in the rice which was disappointing for me. I went because its close to home and I seen all of the 4 star reviews so I was happy to attempt. The set up is quite quaint, the have 2 tables so its not alot of room to dine in, but it has the feeling of a quick joint that you may hit after a drunken night of fun. Its always hard for me to find a solid Chinese place that I can count on for big taste and flavor on every visit. Tried this place with my boyfriend for the first time tonight, and we were not impressed. First off, my boyfriend and I couldn't help but notice the roaches that were crawling all on the walls while we were waiting for them to make our food, that's a no go off top. The prices aren't that bad but the food isn't that great either. I ordered the boneless spare ribs, Mongolian beef combo and my boyfriend had the orange chicken combo. The spare ribs were okay but after a while they started to taste like someone washed them with dish soap. The fried rice lacked seasoning and shrimp but tasted fine once we added soy sauce. My Mongolian beef had WAY more onions than beef, I literally counted 7 pieces of beef, everything else was onions, my boyfriend's orange chicken was overcooked and the egg rolls were just plain disgusting. We both usually go to China Garden but decided to try something closer to us and we were very disappointed..never again! read more

Never a bad meal from here! Everything is perfectly cooked and presented to you very quickly after perusing Fred's for a few minutes. My favorite meal is the schezuan bean curd (tofu) with lots of yummy, fresh veggies in a spicy brown sauce with a big portion of steamed rice. I also love their chicken on a stick, Singapore angel hair rice noodles, house lomein and pu-pu platter. The ribs, wings, cream cheese and egg rolls are pretty spot on! The one thing I didn't care for is called shrimp toast. We don't have that in in the North East and I found it terribly oily. It's like a savory French toast with shrimp puree but deep fried like French toast from a fast food restaurant. If it absorbed less grease I'd be a fan. Other than that, I wish their sauces were better quality and they had a few authentic Chinese dishes but who are we kidding? Grovetown patrons wouldn't appreciate it. Just look at the liquor store who are forced to abandon their craft brew section because everybody just buys Bud Light. Oh, don't expect to eat in here. It's strictly take-out. 9/10 their kids are using the table with an iPad or something so you have to take it home after you grab your food. read more

Fast service! I'm glad it is very close to my house. On my first visit I tried the General Tso's chicken w/ white rice and the cream cheese won tons. The general tso's great...not dry or crunchy like some I've had before. I asked for it un-spicy and that's exactly what I got. The rice is also steamed nicely.
