My experience has been that the food is great, the portions are good, the prices are good, and the service is pretty bad. As was said in other reviews, she is the daughter and she's really rude. We just order takeout and deal with her as little as possible. The food and value is worth that to me Update: She seems to be trying a little more lately, and whenever her mom is around the service is a lot better. Food is the best Chinese ive found in the CSRA. read more

I ordered the orange chicken. It was good my wife order the boneless barbecue pork. It was good I will be back for sure.

This is for food only as it was take out. Timely. Quantity good. I ordered vegetable fried rice with extra mushrooms. I had to dig to find many vegetables much less any extra! Been going there for a long time but never been this sparse of vegetables before. They never have water chestnuts. Next time will think ahead a go to Dragon Express on Gordon Highway! You'll have to win me back! Order was 9/16/23 at approximately 4:30. read more

Great food I would highly recommend this establishment. Food is always fresh and hot!

This is what $10 gets you..very disappointing considering this took 30 minutes to wait for. This is a lunch "special", but don't worry, cause free tea read more

New China Restaurant - 5 pieces/$10 - Chinese Near Me - Grovetown, Georgia

food was good a taste and portion wide but have me food poisining. Food came out quickly and tasted great otherwise

This place is only open for carryout. And the menu doesn't look all that great. The guy at the counter barely spoke English. I did ask him if I could order in and he looked at me like he didn't know what I was talking about. read more

My go to for great Chinese food. Both dining in, takeout, or delivery. Free fortune cookie too!!

Popped in to Grovetown for the holidays and wanted something besides food we cooked at home. New China was just the spot. The portion size was great and the food is well seasoned. I recommend the pork fried or ham fried rice and wings. The lemon pepper was a little heavy and appreciated. The price is better than what you would get for fast food around the corner. read more

I see what everyone was talking about, but she's a 12-year-old girl and she's the daughter of the owners. So I understand that she doesn't want to be working there every day and that she probably does work there every day and she's the only waitress and the person answering two phones so I guess I will give her the benefit of the doubt and continue to go there especially because my car smells amazing right now and I can't wait to get to my room and eat this food read more

New China Restaurant - Yummy! Lots of veggies and chicken breast :) - Chinese Near Me - Grovetown, Georgia

The flavoring of the food was good but the food was very tuff. I was having a hard time chewing my orange chicken. To the point that it made my jaw feel really sore. The chicken had to had been old or overcooked. The flavoring of the food was okay. But wow did it feel like I chewed a hunk of bubblegum for hours. read more

This place has some of the best food in the area. We had sweet and sour pork and chicken with beef lo mein and the cheese wontons. Everything was delicious and made perfectly. The portions were awesome and we were able to have yummy leftovers for days. Next time we're trying more of the amazing wings as well. Definitely a favorite place of ours now. read more

Was NOT impressed. When I called in my take out they said it would be 10-15 minutes. So I got there about 12-15 minutes after. I knew from the minute I walked in that it probably wouldn't be very good but decided not to judge a book by its cover. After my food was finally ready (50 minutes after calling in) she told me they put free donuts in my order. Get home and everything smelled great, but it was terrible! The sesame chicken had no sauce. The orange chicken was just plain nasty and the egg rolls smelt like and tasted like they were rotten. Way overpriced for the customer service and taste of the food. The free donuts were the best thing we ordered. read more

With China Wok across the street serving better quality food all-around, there's no need to come here. I was disgusted by what I got. My chicken on a stick was absolutely black, bitter-burnt and dried out. My stir-fried beef was supposed to be spicy but it was just so bland and soupy and boiled so hot that it melted straight through the foam to-go container and leaked all over. The beef was hard and boiled instead of tender. Way too much fluid of some sort took up the majority of the dish. Dreadful. If the liquor store wasn't on the same side of the street I never would have tried this place and now that I know what they serve I'm never coming back. China Wok all the way. read more

Wings are outstanding at a great price. Lo mein was on point as well. Loved the free donuts. No atmosphere but the food is wort coming back for. read more

Horrible food. Lesser quality than mall food. We ordered a huge variety to try everything out because we had heard from a friend that it was good, but the only things that were even edible were the chicken on a stick and Chinese donuts... and even those weren't very good. The crab Rangoon had a very weird, gross flavor, along with the wings. The sweet and sour chicken was stale and rubbery. Thankfully it was fairly cheap. I guess you get what you pay for. We called to let them know how bad it was and they were extremely rude. read more

The food is good and the prices are ok. My problem is the service, whoever the girl is who takes orders over the phone is rude. She is curt, mean and disrespectful. I have attempted two orders and gave up after dealing with her. I thought I was the only one but upon speaking with fellow residents in Grovetown have realized that I am not. Grovetown doesn't have many delivery options but because of this person people would rather order take out from other places and drive 30 minutes than to get delivery from this restaurant. I suggest you fix this problem or your business will begin to suffer. Word is spreading. read more

We were thoroughly surprised after ordering delivery from here. Everything was huge portions and delicious. We also received free donuts. Delivery being available as well made it a no brained and our go to local Chinese joint! read more

I only tasted their HOUSE SPECIAL LO MEIN and I absolutely love it. I'm not a lo mein connoisseur lol but I have tasted it other places and hands down this one is the best in this area. I would have given more stars but parking can become a bit of an issue as its in a plaza with numerous other businesses. read more

After some reluctance due to New China's yelp reviews, I decided to bring it home for dinner (as our usual Chinese place was closed because it was Monday). New China was actually really good! My boyfriend likes his lo mein very spicy, and they actually listened and made it very spicy (with an upcharge). He loved it! I really liked their egg rolls, they were slightly smaller than your typical egg roll, they were more like spring roll size, but they were delicious. The chicken and broccoli was also good, but it was available in Large size only...and I would have preferred a small, as I rarely can finish a large, and dont go too crazy over Chinese left overs. Overall great experience! read more

Good food! Family owned and operated! Great local business. My family enjoyed the food and I loved the quick service. We will definitely come here again for our next Chinese Food fix! read more

We have had delivery to our home twice now. Both times we were very happy. They came before their expected time and always brought a little present that we didn't actually order. This time it was a large tea. The food is plentiful and delicious .We love this place and hope you will give it a try. read more

One of the worst experience I've ever had anywhere. Called in a to go order and when I get there..I pay and sit to wait. Needless to say my friends order came out and they haven't even made mine. I waited an hour and had to tell them to fix my food. And there is a little girl running the place. Isn't that against the law? Won't be going back.. read more

Placed my order at 6:15. When the order hadn't shown up by 7:15, I called. The only thing they could or would tell me was that the driver had left and that it would only be a few more minutes. A half hour later, the food was still not here. I called them back to cancel my order, and they were extremely rude about it. The driver showed up a few minutes later, and when my wife answered the door, she was on her phone and made no apology about the lateness of the food. Will never order from them again. read more

My husband and I have ordered from here multiple times. Although we usually have to wait a bit when we go to pick up our order, the food has always been hot, flavorful, and delicious. Almost every time we order, they throw in something for free (once doughnuts, once rangoons, last time a 2L of pop), which is really unnecessarily nice of them. We usually order two meals and an appetizer or two, and there's enough food for both of us to eat at least three times. The past few times we've gone in, I've been on crutches, and the woman at the counter and the young girl have been nothing but accommodating, holding the door open for me, and even walking the food to my car. We haven't tried any other Chinese restaurant in Grovetown or Augusta, and at this rate, I doubt we will. We love this place! read more

The most disgusting Chinese ive ever had. The hot and sour soup tasted like dirty dish water. The crab ragoons were under cooked. And the orange chicken tasted horrible. I through it all in the trash. Such a waste......no stars. read more

I ordered my food online 45 min ago. They said they just received the order. I asked how long it would be and no one could answer. I could not understand the lady so she put a young girl on the phone. This girl had a severe attitude. She kept asking me "so do you still want the order?" I only asked her how long it would be. It was so bizarre. I would suggest just going to the location and ordering face to face. Hopefully the food is worth the wait. read more

Placed an order for delivery at 630pm and called the store at 1 hour of waiting and was told a few more minutes. Called back at hour and 45 min and was told I guess I can call and see where the driver is. I just cancelled my order. The driver showed up at 904pm after I already canceled my order. Apperently the lady at the restaurant didn't call their driver. If you like their food just drive there. read more

Everything taste the same... No, seriously. Everything really does taste the same. Oily and thick. Nothing you would expect in the taste in the general Asian cuisine. The sweet and sour tastes of watered (or rather oiled) down duck sauce... Actually, could it be considered duck sauce? I couldn't tell due to how bland it was. The sesame chicken oddly tasted the same but with less soupy sauce with a hint of stale sweetness. I was told that the chicken tasted great so I tried it out. And I have to say they were right. I've never had jerky chicken before disguised as wings, but they were nice. The actual jerky-like chicken in kabob form was super dry. And, if you hope the veggies would save you, guess again. The texture biting into the broccoli there was super soft. I expect from being trapped in limbo from the excess water or oily water combination. Now, this was all from their buffet. Perhaps their ordered food is better, but I didn't want to chance it. As it is, the experience was low-grade. Not something I want to experience again. The workers there are nice outside of the young ones. More so once I found out that the place I was suggested to go to was across the street. However, if you want the feeling of being sluggish just to get out of work, eat here. It's a cheap alternative than faking it to the boss. read more

I ordered online from this restaurant and after an hour and a half of waiting for my delivery, I called to ask for the status of my order. I was then told that I was mistaken and didn't place an order. When I explained (probably 4 different times before they believed me) that I had a confirmation email from their restaurant they told me that there was nothing they could do but to re-place the order. Not exactly what you want to hear after waiting hours for your dinner. Will never order from here again. read more

My friend and I ordered Chinese. We thought we try something new. Definitely will never make that mistake again. Don't make the same mistake as us and go to new China. Unless you want to throw away money a.k.a. throw the food in the ground a.k.a. wanna throw up a.k.a. wanna drink hot water rather than the hot and sour soup you've been looking forward to all day a.k.a. if you wanna throw up order here. Just through $30 down the drain. Extremely unhappy. Would give it zero stars if I could so as of right now I'll eat takis for dinner. read more

New China buffet looked suspect to begin with. I decided to eat there with a co-worker just to try it. We walked in and were immediately greeted and sat at a table. The setup looked ran down and not very maintained. I ordered a coke and my co-worker ordered a sweet tea. The coke was flat and the sweet tea was pure sugar. The buffet placement was in the middle of the restaurant. Upon viewing the food, my first impression was WTF??? Everything had that color to it like it has been sitting for days, not hours. Yes, I know it's a buffet but the food didn't look fresh at all. I sampled a handful of different items and it was absolutely garbage. Even the rice was a complete mess. I would rather give my $9 to one of those trolling save a starving kid in Africa commercials than eat here again. Last, you will definitely find yourself in the bathroom multiple times throughout the day. I also assume during the night. I haven't made it that far yet but have basically splatter-housed multiple bathrooms in the last 5 hours. Good luck and peace be with you if you decide to eat here. read more

The food is ok but not great like everything in Grovetown but what bothers me is you get charged almost $5 for delivery charge and then ask you for a tip. Nope not a chance. Thats a rip off that i didnt realize i was getting charged until i ordered on their website. So a 20 to 25 dollar meal BEFORE tip is 32 dollars. Even worse it asks for your credit card information but then makes you pay with card when they show up. So basically i have zero reason to give my card information. read more

Ordered here a couple times food is decent but always takes over an hour for my food to be delivered even though we only live 2 miles away. Tonight I ordered at 5 and by 6:45 still didn't have my food. When I called I was told they would cancel my order and that was it. Very unhappy with the customer service and will not be ordering from them again. read more

Not someplace I would order from ever again. I placed a delivery order and it took them more than 2 hours to deliver it. I called at the 1 hour mark and was told that the driver just left. Yet it took another hour plus to get my food. Even though they are 1.5 miles away. I was also missing items. read more
