Want a "feel like being there" experience of enjoying Hong Kong style milk tea and French toast at a cafe (茶餐廳)? The decor here is as much Hong Kong as it gets. And the food is authentic. Hot Hong Kong milk tea and French toast are my favorite breakfast items and that's exactly what I got. If I were in Hong Kong, I would get them in the morning. But I wouldn't mind having them any time of the day! The milk tea was great. I liked the aromatic, bold black tea. It was fairly creamy and smooth. The French toast was delicious also. Fried golden brown, it was toasty on the outside, and nutty, buttery (with peanut butter filling) on the inside. I liked the condensed milk drizzled on top, instead of syrup, which I normally use at home. They also have other Hong Kong style dishes, like the baked cutlet pork chop with rice, fish fillet in creamy white sauce, and iconic street foods like curry fish balls, radish, and pork rinds (yummy!) This place is fully decorated with so many Hong Kong street items, like the big wall pictures of busy, beautiful city views, signs of major streets, shop signs, etc. If you're not from Hong Kong, they may not mean too much to you. But if you are, they're invariably nostalgic. If you want a delightful experience of Hong Kong food and ambience, come give it a try. read more

We liked the beef flat noodles, texture was nice and beef was good. The pork chop was good and reminded me of eggs rice and ketchup as a kid. Ambiance: The restaurant is a casual counter order eatery. There is plenty of seating in the restaurant, but it is going to be tough if you have a party of 5 or larger. The restaurant gets pretty busy Saturday evening. Service: The staff were really friendly, and went above and beyond by checking in to see when to start cooking the dessert, HK styled French Toast. Food: I texted the menu to my parents and they agreed that the menu is pretty authentic to what you may find in a HK styled cafe back in Hong Kong! I've heard great things about Chasu and I finally made it there! We went for an early dinner around 4 p.m. on a Saturday. The place was half full. The interior has a cool street food vibe, and it's half self-serve. You get utensils, water, plates, and the food delivery and cleanup is taken care of by the staff. There's plenty of seating. We ordered and paid up front right when we came in, got a number, and were told to sit ourselves. The ordering area is a bit cramped, and it felt a bit rushed since it was our first time and we were expecting a sit-down-and-order style. We ordered what felt like basically everything from their Hong Kong-style menu. The food came out pretty quickly, except for the baked pork chops, but it was totally worth the wait. Needless to say, everything was delicious. We especially loved the Stir Fried Flat Noodle with Beef and the Fried Wings with Garlic Butter Sauce. The main points to note were that the meat was super tender, not too salty, and well-flavored. A new favorite!! They offer an interesting mix of Cantonese, Thai, and Americanized Chinese dishes, but they all taste great. We've tried the drunken noodles, sesame chicken, Hong Kong style black bean sauce pork chop over rice, and pineapple fried rice. The drunken noodles are so addictive, and even though the sesame chicken is Americanized, the lightly crispy exterior, tender meat, and sweet sauce makes it irresistible. The pork chop was also surprisingly tender. The pineapple fried rice is alright but they definitely used canned pineapple. Tables and chairs are functional. The chairs are metal and bright red and orange. The entire restaurant is decorated to give you the feel of being at an Asian market or urban, Asian street. The walls have photos of street scenes and festive lights hang from the ceiling. Different areas of the dining room are marked by street signs. The food is made fresh to order and was served rather quickly. I ordered spicy shrimp fried rice. It was delicious. The rice was tasty containing al dente peas and carrots (just the way I like them). 6-8 large shrimp were served on top of the rice. I went to Chasu the other day and got their Korean spicy ramen with pork kimchi and egg. Overall the food was okay but was pretty bland. Aside from the kimchi nothing really packed a lot of flavor. The egg was my favorite part of the dish despite my innate and never ending hatred for eggs. The noodles were also cooked well but I was extremely disappointed in the lack of spice that was in the ramen. I've had korean food before and they don't play about their spice yet this place did. I wish there was significantly more spice in the broth and the pork was extremely bland. If i had to guess, I would say they just cooked the pork without seasoning and then shoved it in the ramen.
