Delicious food and some of the friendliest staff I've ever met! Really enjoyed the option of making your own bowls or picking from a selection of their own curated mixes. The wings here are to die for! They were perfectly crispy on the outside, but so juicy to the point is was oozing flavor after the initial bite. Was working nearby at a large retailer and was really in the mood for some Chinese food. When I looked on Yelp, which is my Go-To for selecting the right place, I found Chasu Kitchen. It was a fusion restaurant and it had a yummy looking menu! Walked over and was able to pick a seat after ordering. Waitress taking order was friendly. Ordered the pineapple basil fried rice with chicken added. Within a few minutes(maybe 5-7) my food was out and you could tell it was made fresh! It was very good and had good flavor. Hubby and I was visiting Plano for a week, and decided to make a visit to Chasu Kitchen. It was so good, we actually had to come by twice during our time in Plano. :) Their menu is a good size, and you'll essentially find something for everyone. I grabbed bowls for both of my meals, while hubby grabbed a bowl for one meal and wings for his second meal. We also absolutely had to have their tea at each of our meals, too. You order at the counter, pay, and then sit down. They seem to know who orders what, and every one of our orders have been perfect. The bowls are a good size, where, even with the smallest bowl, I feel satisfied and content, and no real urge to overeat. Ingredients were obviously made fresh, and seasoned perfectly. Hubby absolutely enjoyed his wings, where he had one order of spicy and two orders of special. Teas are sooo good, where they brew the teas correctly. I normally get Aloe or Crystal Pearls (agar boba, I believe) as my toppings. Overall, very happy with the tea drinks. The restaurant is very clean and very cute! I love the decorations that they have and the aesthetic of being in a street market. Prices are worth it for the amount of food you feel, and how you don't feel gross or bleh afterwards. First time here. 3:50pm Ordered Tofu Pad Thai. Plentiful bowl w well cooked rice noodles and a good amount of tofu. Red cabbage and shredded carrots to mix in. Spicy. Could use a bit of additional sauce as noodles soaked it all and by the time it was served it felt a tad dry but still good. Served freshly made and hot in about 7 mins from order to being ready. That was good. Staff at register was courteous but rest of staff who was at next table eating didn't bother to help when I kept trying to ask for chopsticks. My server (a young Asian kid) was quick to get those for me. The dish is good and hopefully my next visit it will be better. Definitely coming back. read more

The staff have made great improvements in attention to detail in recent months and getting your order and sides right. It's gratifying to see because this really is one of the finest Asian fusion restaurants in Dallas. Every entree I've tried has been delicious and I've never been disappointed. The various bowls are excellent but the sesame chicken remains my favorite. The food is never greasy and doesn't give you that heavy, unhealthy feeling you sometimes get with other similar local restaurants. Though the food is great, the best thing on the menu just might be the Honey Ginger Jasmine iced tea. I get it at least 2-3 times a week and there's definitely something very addictive about it. It's like a sweet, healthy elixir that tastes amazing and I always tell the staff that they should put this thing in stores. Do yourself a favor and try it out! I should end by saying the staff here is always super friendly and very kind and they definitely earn your business. The restaurant is very small, only room for a few tables so I always get takeout but they always take care of me. I've gotten the Chasu pork, the shrimp and the tofu ones and every one of them is solid and filling I always get the gochujang, lime vinaigrette, sauces and the curry one is like a coconut curry and it's solid as hell. Usually with asian rice noodles, you have to boil them till they're cooked and then rinse them out under cold water so they don't overcook! But they must've forgotten to that. My noodles were all broken into small pieces and overcooked. I couldn't grab them with my chopsticks, so I went and grabbed a fork...but I still couldn't pick them up. I used a spoon to eat my noodles. Big NO NO I do have to give it them though. The chasu pork was pretty good. Not anything near the real stuff you could get in HK, but not too bad. read more

Very friendly helpful employees. Some interesting creative options. We had the bulgogi bowl and for me it was my favorite take on bulgogi because of all of the fun vegetables and flavors. My husband really wants to taste the meat and it was definitely low on both the quantity of meat and the ability to pick that flavor out bc of everything else going on in the dish. We also ordered drunken noodles because it's pretty much our favorite Asian dish and we use it to judge any place that carries it. Unfortunately, while it tasted very fresh, we were both underwhelmed with the flavor. I expect a little bit of sweet and rich smoky undertones, just a lot of diverse undertones and this was perhaps just above middle of the road, which really isn't great. I wouldn't order it again there. But I would be willing to come back and try some other things. I was really curious to try some of the Hong Kong dishes. I think they have a lot of potential and there are probably a lot of better examples of what their great at making. Lots of interesting sounding bowl combinations. Worth a try. read more

We used the phone app to order our food. The app has no description when it comes to the flavors of the sauces. Booo! Otherwise, I'm sure all of us would have chosen a different flavor other then Chasu. We've never eaten here so everything was guess work. We had no idea what to expect. The portions of food are large for one person! So large that two folks can share one bowl. It's a huge share-a-thon! I hate being wasteful, because I'm not particularly fond of eating leftovers. Being able to share food to avoid leftovers is extra cool in my book! Start with a base, rice or noodles or veggie blend. This can be placed in a wrap or a bowl. Pick any protein including tofu. Pick a sauce, there are 4 to choose. Lastly you choose your garnish. They offer gluten-free and vegan friendly choices. The bite is great. Change from last visit. We ordered 6 varies bowls from tofu, chicken, to beef for the protein. The price is fair. Nothing was left off any of the bowls. All vegetables garnishes were fresh. That's a plus. The bowls did have all the items we ordered, but the flavor was flat. It really needed something with some bite added to the sauce. As a group I think we'll do more research before ordering again. Hopefully, the app will be updated to include what's in each sauce. Good gets better. I haven't been back here in over two years. Figured I would give it a try because the food was good last time. Let's talk about the fact that the food still hasnt changed in quality, A+ for sure. The noodles for Chinese style food were not overly salted but still plenty flavorful and the meats were cooked just right. Improvements:The scenery inside has improved a lot and is reminiscent of a Chinese bbq shop or a small part of China town. Very fun. The music is calm and relaxing while not being overbearing. And the timing on the food is super improved. It probably took like 10 minutes this time for a fresh out of the pan cooked meal. Good job Chasu Kitchen. My hats off to you! Came to Chasu Kitchen before a movie to grab a quick bite to eat; I had just gotten my eyebrows done across the street and looked up food places on Yelp and found it conveniently located. The restaurant was pretty empty, and the staff took my order quickly. I ended up getting the house tofu bowl with brown rice and was also curious about the buns, so I tried an order of those as well. I'd never actually had pork belly buns with a deep fried bun before, so that was an interesting experience. The flavor of the pickled veggies were good, and the pork belly was tender; the price point for two small buns probably isn't worth it, but I enjoyed those. The house tofu bowl was alright -- extremely soupy, but the brown rice didn't get too soggy because it was so firm. Of the ingredients, I was most positively surprised by the sauteed kale! The rest of the ingredients meshed okay, and the portion size was big enough that I could take my leftovers to work for lunch the next day. I'm not sure if I just didn't order the right thing on the menu or if this style of bowl just isn't for me, but if in the area again I would probably try one of the other restaurants in the plaza first before visiting again. read more

I was really excited about trying this place as it looked to be a mix of a poke' bar and chipotle. With good reviews I walked into this establishment with high hopes. Boy, was I wrong. Again, Dallas dining isn't impressive unless its BBQ, and this place reinforced my belief. My group ordered some buns/dumplings with the pork bell option and they werent very good. We ended up throwing some away as they werent tasty whatsoever. It didnt take long to get our food, but it all came out at the same time except for a few items which they forgot about and had to look at the receipt to verify as if they didnt believe us. It was rather rude to be honest and upsetting. I ordered a bowl with brown rice and salad as the base and Korean bulgogi as the protein. I added a few vegetables and hot sauce along with some ginger. NOTHING tasted fresh, the vegetables tasted as if they had been previously frozen and the meet was over drenched in vinegar. They only redeeming quality was that they used Siracha as the hot sauce. No idea how this place has such strong reviews, but next time I am in Dallas, I will definitely skip this place.
