Been coming to Mango for many years with family for Thai. SADLY manager who says she's been manager for many years...ruined our dinner for $20 mistake. Called to say delivery was wrong. She (would not give me her name) NEVER ASKED WHAT WAS WRONG! She just denied they sent an order. But then blamed delivery company LOL! Again never asked "what was wrong with order". Just argued and if she's been her 30 years her English was very rough. Food we love. Abuse by manager yelling...over a $18 dish made wrong...maybe typical sadly and very bad business in America. Both the curry fried rice with chicken and the Krapow (basil) fried rice with tofu were tasty, but spice level 4 was milder than we expected for our preferences. We always end up going to the same Thai places so drove a little farther away based on a friend's recommendation to try Mango Thai. We ordered the Roti, Wonder Curry, Pad Kee Mo and Cashew Chicken. Service was unexpectedly fast and the food was in front of us before we knew it! The ambiance of the restaurant itself is average, but it's well maintained and clean. As for the food, we found the wonder curry to be excellent and different from the traditional curries. The noodles were excellent and their basil was so fresh. As for the cashew chicken it had a hint of sweetness but was still tangy. The roti was probably a letdown which felt overly fried and saturated with oil. It was hard to have more than a few bites. I love this place and have been here more times than I'd like to admit! It has a nice atmosphere with pretty decor and still feels casual and inviting. The staff are always very pleasant, quickly getting us seated and consistently checking in. All the dishes I've tried have generous portions and taste great as well. The tofu satay is always on my mind and I highly recommend it as an appetizer :-) Only thing is I order 5/5 spice on every dish and they're still not that spicy but everything has still been good. I will need some time getting used to strip mall dining but when you walk thru the doors you are transported to Thailand with the feel sounds and smells of Thailand we were greeted and seated right away they have a large extensive menu so you will find something special we had the crispy beef with broccoli and the chicken and broccoli in Thai peanut sauce with jasmine now I for one like the spicy chart " Mild ,medium hot really hot and thai hot ...thai hot was my choice ... the meal came in like 5 minutes hot fresh and seriously good portions the staff was very attentive yet not in the way fyi I am still feeling the effects from the chili oil the best in Tx This place rates "I am coming back for sure" on the "pit master T scale" scale read more

I really enjoyed my first dining experience at Mango! Their staff is super nice and the set up is very inviting. My favorite dish of the night was their yellow curry. We enjoyed the Massaman Curry and Pad Khee Mao. We got Spicy level medium to be safe and used the chili oil and sauce on the side to increase the spice as needed. Both dishes came out piping hot! Massaman curry was warm, and had a comforting collection of spices which made every bite so fulfilling. Really enjoyed the Massaman curry. The pieces of veggies in the curry were also good size, not too big or small. The pad khee mao is our favorite to try at all Thai places and this noodle was very tasty! It was tossed very well and had great flavor. Not pictured but we also got corn fritters which were a great start to the meal. Even though they are fried, they don't have that oily taste. Tried this restaurant on my trip to Dallas. We ordered Vegetable Penang Curry, Vegetable Pad Thai and Chicken Pad Thai. The food was delicious. I ordered spice level of 3 out of 5 with 5 being the spiciest though one of my friend ordered the Penang Curry with 4 spice level. 3 spice level was mild and perfect for me. The service was great and we got our entrees on time. The server even helped us clicking a picture for us. The ambiance was decent. We were in a group of 8 guests dining out with our wonderful neighbors. We all ordered appetizers, our main entree. My husband ordered lambs as his main entree, his meal came out cold within less than 5 minutes while we're eating the appetizers (Thinking it's probably premade or a mistaken entree from someone's else ordered) I'm a cook myself, there's no way that the lamb meat would be fully cooked within that short amount of time. Let me preface this by saying that this review is solely based on my take-out vs dining experience and my choice of dish! I walked in to place a to-go order on a Friday evening. The restaurant wasn't packed at all and it took a few minutes to be acknowledged upon entry. Once I advised on why I was there I was led to the back bar area to place my order. If you're looking for super friendly service this is not your place! The bar attendant didn't greet me and immediately asked me for my order. I didn't really know what I wanted but the impatient stare down he had at me while I was attempting to make an informed decision sped up my process. I'm not saying he was impatient but I'm saying he didn't leave room for a thought out process either! This isn't my first Thai food experience but I really wanted to try something new. I ordered the beef sizzling and chicken spring rolls. I decided not to add any spice to my beef bc it was served with peppers and onions. Big mistake! I waited for maybe 10 minutes for my order which isn't bad at all! I noticed I couldn't smell my good much but wasn't alarmed bc I'd the way it was packaged. It literally took me 8 minutes to make it home and by the time I did I knew why I cousin smell the food; it wasn't really hot at all! Needless to say, I had to place my beef in the microwave. Food: I did not enjoy my meal. It was lukewarm after an 8 minute door to door trek. And when I started eating it had no seasoning whatsoever! the meat was bland and id wished I would've gotten spice as to taste something! The chicken spring rolls were also bland but fried nicely! I literally couldn't finish the food even after trying to doctor it up. The only thing going for the beef was that it was tender. Interior: The inside was clean and wasn't too crowded at all. The lighting set a nice mood and it wasn't loud at all. Location: the location isn't bad at all! It's tucked in a shopping center next to studio movie grille in Plano off of Park and Preston. Would I go back again...probably. But only to stick with what I know which is fried rice. The dish I had was awful but I'd definitely give it another try. read more

I visited here 9 years ago. Some things have changed and some things haven't. What has gotten better? Food has gotten better. The food was on the spicy side but fairly tasty. We ordered a curry, two noodle dishes, an appetizer sampler, and dessert. The food all came out hot but on the slow side. What hasn't changed? Service was terrible. We waited for at least fifteen minutes to order and get water for the whole table. Our server was being short with our baby. She dropped a menu on the floor and he was huffing and puffing and rolling his eyes at her. There was another server (middle aged lady) who was so busy looking at her phone that she would never make eye contact with anyone when they needed her help. We spent a total of 1.5 hours here for a meal that should have taken less than an hour in my opinion. By the way their restroom was absolutely disgusting. Anyways I am glad to revisit this place and give them an extra star for the bettered food. Not sure if I would come back but who knows.
