I was craving some food with Asian flavors. I decided on Thai food. This Thai restaurant is one of my go to places for flavorful Thai food. My favorite item is the Drunken Noodles. I like MEDIUM spice/heat and always enjoy it. My noodles and veggies were tasty as usual, but I thought a few pieces of the beef were a little chewy. The dish is always colorful and vibrant. The veggies mainly the peppers give it a brightness. The soup is so good. It warms my soul and makes me feel happy. I could eat it weekly. I love the peanut and ginger salad dressings they provide for the basic salad. My waiter was on point. He took really good care of me. Pleasant, polite and friendly. Some of the best thai food I've had in dallas! The thai iced teas were impeccable. FYI we ordered everything medium spice. The tom yom soup had all the right flavors - it was the perfect level of spice that opened my sinuses right up lol. I was pleasantly surprised by the garlic fried rice; the shrimps were HUGE along with the portion. It was not as spicy as the soup though. The drunken noodles was probably my favorite in terms of flavor, however the portion seemed smaller than the other dishes (I want to say because of the thick noodles and shrimp) but I think they could've given us a little more in my opinion. What a pleasant surprise coming to visit this restaurant. It was pretty busy when we arrived... I didn't realize but they do offer BYOB so it was nice to see all the guests enjoying their own bottles of wine. Now I know for next time. Overall the atmosphere was casual and welcoming. All their dishes were very flavorful. The drunken noodle as not dry and had a lot of flavoring so you didn't need to add any extra soy sauce or other sauces. For all our dishes we went for medium to hot spicy level... and that was enjoy to enjoy our food without making our mouths totally on fire. We will definitely be back. I ordered drunken noodle with tofu. Apparently there are more tofu and hardly any noodles. The name should be drunken tofu with noodle. This is not the first time. I met an ex-co-worker at the Thumbz without knowing much about it. I was pleasantly surprised. One of the first things I noticed was the efficiency of the servers. They have worked out a system to ensure the public, with a short time for lunch, can get in, order, be served, and pay, allowing them to get back to the office or wherever without being late. Great place for quick bite around Richardson. We mostly go in for lunch hours with co-workers. Place is always buzzing. Yellow curry, pad Kee Mao and Chicken satay w/ un-sweetened ice tea is great combo. Crab wontons are great too, only if you have taste for creamy fish. I used to rave about this place because the food tasted yummy. But recently, I went back and ordered the pepper steak and was disappointed in not only the portion size, but how cold parts of my food were? It was unappetizing to have semi-cold food on an otherwise hot dish. During my visit, I also asked for Thai chili, but they instead gave me a trio of chili paste, chili flakes, and something that tasted like ketchup. I used to work at a Thai restaurant, so I know that none of those options were what I was asking for. We had been meaning to try this restaurant out and got the chance over the weekend for dinner. We found the food and service to be really great. We came in when they had a large group already seated. We were impressed at how they were able to get our food out quickly along with that of the group. We started with the Summer Roll with shrimp. The portion was good and the flavor was great. For the main meal, I went away from my usual favorite Thai dish and went with the Thai's Thumbz Noodle with tofu and I'm glad I did. While it is similar to Pad See Ew, the sauce was a bit different and I liked the snow peas and peanuts for something different. My husband went with the Pad See Ew with chicken and he also wasn't disappointed. The portions were generous and the flavor was so good, I found it hard to stop eating! Found ourselves in Richardson not wanting to sit in rush hour traffic and rumbling stomachs. So we Yelped and found this place had good reviews so why not. Must say the restaurant signage can be improved as you won't see it that easily. But once inside, remember it was 5pm, there were all but a couple of tables. Greeted quickly and shown to our table. Menu was still via the QR code on your phone but easy to read and we quickly made our choices. Calamari to start with an avocado cilantro dipping sauce. Oh brother, not what you expected. So so so much better. Light batter, baby calamari pieces, tender and full of flavor. And the dipping sauce was a nice change to the usual. Recommend this dish for sure. Then we had a drunken noodles with shrimp. Full of fresh vegetables and a decent number of shrimp. Flavor was very good, we asked for medium spicy and it delivered on all fronts. Only thing my wife found it a little salty. I had the Penang curry which too was full of fresh veg and nice pieces of chicken. Loved the flavor and brought back memories of the good Thai places in NYC which we have really missed since moving to Dallas. Totally recommend this place. Omgsh, I think I have found one of my favor Thai places in DFW area! It's also only 8 minutes away from my house, boy, did I get lucky! I usually judge a place by its pad Thai. In my opinion if you mess up pad Thai, you're not worth my time and money. Pad Thai (5/5) this definitely hit the spot. Flavor was there, spice was there, meat was there!! Everything was there and it made the dish perfect. Noodles weren't overly cooked (some places make noodles super mushy). The whole dish wasn't over sauced. We got medium spicy and let me tell ya, IT WASNT NO WIMPY medium spice.. it was real medium spice. So if you're a wimp, order mild. Panang curry (3/5) I wish I had a picture to show y'all but I was so hungry I forgot. The curry was really good but I just wish there was more curry and less bell peppers. If you prioritize expertly-cooked meat in your favorite Thai dishes over anything else, then this is the best Thai restaurant in DFW right now. Chicken Breast: Ordered Green Curry with their gently poached, thinly-sliced chicken breast. (Hands down the best green curry I ever tasted) Beef: Pad Kee Mao had flavorful thinly sliced and tender beef (stir-fried like at a Chinese restaurant) I would order this dish next time with more wide rice noodles. Papaya Salad: papaya was easy to bite, came with iceberg lettuce (good texture contrast), asked for a little heat and got it, and it wasn't overly decorated with crushed peanuts. This Thai restaurant is conveniently located off Richardson/Plano area off 75 frontage Rd near Jupiter. The staff are really nice and checked on our table very often. The interior and exterior both look good. Expect to drive to this restaurant as its own destination, since it is located in a strip mall and not located in an Asian shopping mall.
