I tried their white pad Thai at the dallas location and wanted to bring my friends to the location up in Richardson. The white pad Thai was consistent and still really good, my friends really liked it! It's not sweet compared to regular pad Thai and overall has a deep flavor. The yellow curry that I got, on the other hand, was just ok. It was missing some flavor that I couldn't exactly pinpoint. The rice portion is also a little small, I feel like I've gotten larger rice portions with curry before. Service is great, the waiters were super attentive and kind. The restaurant was also quite comfortable and not the look of your typical Thai restaurant. read more

Oh No, where has my Sakhuu Thai Gone??!!! I know we have new ownership, but it's horrible! We had worked in the yard & pool, so we just wanted to order a togo order. I tried to order online, but it's no longer an option, so I tried to call in my order. Well, after the woman got my phone # incorrect 4 times, I thought it was better to order in person???! My Hubby waited in the car thinking it would not take 35 minutes, but it was extremely too long! The sad thing, was they weren't busy with it being a Saturday?? While waiting for our order I chatted up the sweet couple to my right, Jasmine and Joshua, and on my left was Kate, from Kansas City. We all were interacting about it wasn't it same??! J2 had had an appetizer & ordered an entree togo. The dude behind the bar brought out the entree as to serve...not boxed. J2boxed it themselves. I ordered 2 Duck Roti, Penang Chicken & Shrimp Pad Thai. $63*$12tip for a togo order...well it's our last!!!!! The Duck, meh, the Penang was horrible, 4 tiny bites of chicken with only green bell pepper, yuck! The shrimp dish was average. I could have made dinner in that 35 timeframe, and should have. Won't be back...bye, bye Sahhuu, the dude at the at bar had zero personality, no attention to hospitality. Disappointing!!!!! *Tomorrow's dinner, Chicken Penang & Yellow Curry, made in my kitchen. read more

Omg, this was soooooooo good! We have lots of Thai spots around DFW, but my go-to places always need to have Lao-style food--it just tastes better in my opinion. Here's the breakdown: * Sausage - 8/10: Good, but not as flavorful as I've had elsewhere. * Khao Soi - 9/10: AMAZING! I haven't found a Khao Soi I loved since trying the one at Lotus of Siam in Vegas, and this was definitely up to par. Rich, flavorful, and packed with protein. * Papaya Salad (Level 4 spice) - 9/10: Not super spicy, but the flavor was there, and I could definitely smell the padek--so good! Everything tasted fresh and was well-prepared. The portions were huge, and for all three items, it came out to about $50-60, which I thought was worth it for the quality. Service: Fast and attentive, no complaints. I'd definitely come back--it was delicious and fresh! read more

Big fan of the crispy duck curry and pad Thai. Flavorful and easy takeout, but I wish it had been a little spicier. Would definitely come back! read more

Delicious Thai restaurant tucked away with a bunch of other restaurants and shops in an outdoor shopping area. It's small, but held a group of 8 of us just fine (call ahead). Their menu is very large and has a lot of options. All of the appetizers that I tried were great, and my main dish was a seafood curry bowl. Really great dinner, everyone I was there with enjoyed their meal. The lychee martini is quite good too. read more

Service was wonderful from the moment I walked in. I always order Pad See Ew at any Thai spot I visit, and this place did not disappoint. The meat-to-noodle ratio was solid, the veggies were plentiful, and the flavor was balanced and satisfying. The dining area felt clean and welcoming, and the server was attentive without hovering. Food came out quickly, which I appreciated. The crab rangoons were another highlight -- thick, flavorful, and genuinely delicious. The Pad Thai stood out, too. So many places drown it in that ketchup-y sweetness, but here the flavor was subtle, clean, and layered. Simple but still complex in a really good way. read more

Came here with some friends for dinner. Stepping in, I immediately noticed the beautiful ambiance. We ordered the Thai Bail Stir Fry, Veggie Dumplings, Yellow Curry, and Pad Thai. I enjoyed the Dumplings and the Basil Stir Fry the most. I liked how the basil leaves had been fried and added a crispy addition to the dish. The Yellow Curry was classic and good, but I found the potatoes to be a little tough. Unfortunately the Pad Thai is not a dish I'd recommend. The beauty of Thai food is its harmonious blend of sweet, salty, sour, and spicy. The Pad Thai leaned more sweet than anything. Overall nice place and the service was very attentive making sure our glasses were always filled. read more

Everything was amazing from the drinks to the bartender to the main course! The bartender was lovely. She was attentive and made some great suggestions. I love that they offer happy hour even on the weekends. We were able to sit and chill for more than two hour enjoying company, drinks and food. We ordered appetizers from the happy hour menu and pad Thai for the main course. We were absolutely stuffed by the end of the meal! The spicy edamame was so good, we wanted to lick the bowl. The beef jerky was impressive! You know it's a great place when a couple of regulars show up and greets the staff with hugs. If you are in the area, Sakhuu is a great place to grab a drink and a bite to eat. read more

Went here on a Sunday afternoon for an early dinner and really enjoyed our meal! My friends and I tried: -Edamame -Veggie Summer Rolls -Fried Egg Rolls -Tom Kha soup -Massaman curry -Panang curry -Pad Thai Everything came out fairly quickly and was hot and tasty. I particularly loved my pad Thai with chicken and tofu, it had a really great flavor! I asked for medium spice but I didn't find it spicy. Massaman curry was also really good and chock full of veggies! They also had many appetizers and drinks on Happy Hour which I believe went until 7 pm. Appetizers seemed to be $2 off, I didn't look closely at the drinks but it was basic cocktails. They did have an extensive cocktail list that looked very good! I will happily return here! read more

While this is a cozy spot and the food was fresh, we encountered poor service and communication with our server and kitchen. It wasn't busy, but our server seemed distracted. When taking our family's order, she stopped to talk to a coworker, which resulted in her asking me again what I ordered and not inputting the part of our order correctly. We asked for the Lao egg rolls but we received crispy vegetable rolls instead. We also asked for medium spicy for 2 dishes and there was no spice on either, so we got her attention to ask for some chili sauce. We were headed to an event and decided to make the best of our time, but I probably won't return here. read more

This place is the real thing: - friendly knowledgeable service - a good, reasonably priced bar - and authentic Thai food. I ordered Tom Lau papaya salad, and I asked for it spicy - boy was it really spicy! Perfect! I had it with Thai sausage and brown rice - what a great meal! read more

I visited Sakuu Thai yesterday with my three kids, who are not big eaters, and I was surprised by the portion sizes. For dinner items priced around $16, the portions were quite small. We ordered one appetizer and four entrées, and even then, the quantities felt insufficient. We also ended up getting additional drinks and a crepe from A Day Cafe next door. Overall, the dinner portions felt too small for the price point. For just a couple of dollars more, I would prefer going to Asian Mint, where the portions are more generous and offer better value. read more

ORDER Tom Kha Gai Yum Pla Duk Fu This was my first time trying Thai food ever in my life. Tom Kha Gai is a tangy, salty, and creamy coconut-based soup. The flavor was very well incorporated and nothing was too strong. The lime flavor added zest to the dish and it was overall very good. Yum Pla Duk Fu is Crispy Fluffy Fish with Mango and Salad. I will say that the onions were a bit on the more acidic side but the mangos were really sweet and good so that balanced it out. The fish was super crispy and there was not a strong fishy taste which was good. Overall, delicious food and good-sized portions to enjoy! VIBES The place is pretty small but comfy. It's pretty dimly lit throughout and the seating is a little squished and close together. There are both booths and tables. It seems like a great plate for a casual date or catch-up with a friend. The location is also close to a lot of small shops too which makes it a good location to walk around and hang out. SERVICE The service is really sweet. My friend is Thai and when she asked for a certain dish, they didn't have it but provided her with the Thai Street Eats menu. When we asked for more rice, it came out quickly. Food came out in a pretty timely manner as well. read more

I ordered pad thai, crab rangoon, and duck roti for take out. The pad thai was delicious! The duck roti was good as well, I never had it before so I was not sure what to expect, but I would definitely order it again. As good as these were, I found that the crab rangoon was lacking in flavor. I order crab rangoon any chance I get, and these were probably my least favorite that I've had. read more

I can't recommend this amazing eatery enough. It is absolutely the best choice you could make for distinct and flavorful food, and each dish is customizable to your level of heat or spice. Solid thai food. The khao soi was tasty and spicy, the pad se eww was good. Basil fried rice tasted bland but the chili sauce saved it. Portion sizes were stingy but other than that a good place with variety of options read more

Their menu has so many great items, but I chose the Crispy Duck Curry which proved to be the perfect choice for me. Positive-the food was ok Negative- Lipstick stain on rim of cup. Waited a long time before anyone looked my way to get a clean cup. When I got her attention and her not knowing what I was going to ask, she abruptly stated my food was coming out soon. Took a few more minutes before new clean cup was provided. I was dining with 1 other person and was charged an automatic service fee. That just left a bad taste in my mouth because I wasn't given an option on how much or if I was going to leave a tip. There are much better restaurants in Dallas area w. Reasonable prices. read more

Sakhuu is a Thai restaurant with an upscaled and fancier presence. The dining space is a narrow room with a bar, nice soft lighting, and great ambiance. The food is good, and has many harder to find authentic dishes, like the crispy and flakey fried catfish with mango salad. The food is overall very good, but unfortunately falls short of spectacular due to small issues. The crispy fish salad comes in a huge serving, and really could have used additional dressing on the side to prevent the crispy fish from going soggy. The crispy noodles in the Khao Soi was chewy and lacked the crunch you want. And the Duck Roti was a bit too salty. Overall these are minor issues that can be normally overlooked at other restaurants, but Sakhuu has a slightly more premium price point, making these issues more glaring. If you are looking for good food, good drinks, and a great atmosphere however, this would be a wonderful place to meet up for a dinner with friends. If you're just a foodie looking for an authentic thai dinner experience, this might not be the best fit for you. read more

I came here for an early dinner on a Saturday and I had a pretty solid experience! We started off with the Duck roti and some drinks, which were both really good! Duck roti kinda reminded me of pecking duck with the sauce on there, the roti texture was flakey and chewy! Then we got the ping gai which was super good - it came with sticky rice and papaya salad which pairs really well with the chicken! Overall pretty solid experience! Service was also super nice, the bartender always made sure we had what we needed and any recommendations he had. I want to come back and definitely try the other drinks and menu items here :) read more

The food is good not superb. The service was good. The ambience is cozy. However, the automatically charge an 18% tip so I'm out.

This is more of a preference review. My service was great. She came by multiple times checking on me. The spring rolls were good. I'd get them again. The pad Thai for me was too sweet. I asked for it spicy but it wasn't. Even adding some red flakes wasn't the same as the heat getting cooked into it. read more

Saturday evening we were able to walk-in and get a table for 3 right away. Tucked away in a little corner of the green, this place is a perfect spot for a quick bite of savory Thai food. We ordered pad thai of course. Choose your pick of meat or tofu, we had chicken and it was tender! Loved the pile of peanuts on the side. The hubs ordered veggie delight with chicken (I know, almost a oxymoron), and daughter got fried pork dumplings. The dumplings came out first and we're crunchy and delightful! Pad thai and veggie delight come soon after. Very flavorful and large portions! Nice touch was the large bottle of water they give you for the table and the little tin cups are cute. read more
