My friends and I tried: -Edamame -Veggie Summer Rolls -Fried Egg Rolls -Tom Kha soup -Massaman curry -Panang curry -Pad Thai Everything came out fairly quickly and was hot and tasty. I particularly loved my pad Thai with chicken and tofu, it had a really great flavor! I asked for medium spice but I didn't find it spicy. Massaman curry was also really good and chock full of veggies! They also had many appetizers and drinks on Happy Hour which I believe went until 7 pm. Appetizers seemed to be $2 off, I didn't look closely at the drinks but it was basic cocktails. They did have an extensive cocktail list that looked very good! I will happily return here! read more

I tried their white pad Thai at the dallas location and wanted to bring my friends to the location up in Richardson. The white pad Thai was consistent and still really good, my friends really liked it! It's not sweet compared to regular pad Thai and overall has a deep flavor. The yellow curry that I got, on the other hand, was just ok. It was missing some flavor that I couldn't exactly pinpoint. The rice portion is also a little small, I feel like I've gotten larger rice portions with curry before. Service is great, the waiters were super attentive and kind. Oh No, where has my Sakhuu Thai Gone??!!! I know we have new ownership, but it's horrible! We had worked in the yard & pool, so we just wanted to order a togo order. I tried to order online, but it's no longer an option, so I tried to call in my order. Well, after the woman got my phone # incorrect 4 times, I thought it was better to order in person???! My Hubby waited in the car thinking it would not take 35 minutes, but it was extremely too long! The sad thing, was they weren't busy with it being a Saturday?? While waiting for our order I chatted up the sweet couple to my right, Jasmine and Joshua, and on my left was Kate, from Kansas City. We all were interacting about it wasn't it same??! Omg, this was soooooooo good! We have lots of Thai spots around DFW, but my go-to places always need to have Lao-style food--it just tastes better in my opinion. Here's the breakdown: * Sausage - 8/10: Good, but not as flavorful as I've had elsewhere. * Khao Soi - 9/10: AMAZING! I haven't found a Khao Soi I loved since trying the one at Lotus of Siam in Vegas, and this was definitely up to par. Rich, flavorful, and packed with protein. * Papaya Salad (Level 4 spice) - 9/10: Not super spicy, but the flavor was there, and I could definitely smell the padek--so good! Delicious Thai restaurant tucked away with a bunch of other restaurants and shops in an outdoor shopping area. It's small, but held a group of 8 of us just fine (call ahead). Their menu is very large and has a lot of options. All of the appetizers that I tried were great, and my main dish was a seafood curry bowl. I enjoyed the Dumplings and the Basil Stir Fry the most. I liked how the basil leaves had been fried and added a crispy addition to the dish. The Yellow Curry was classic and good, but I found the potatoes to be a little tough. Unfortunately the Pad Thai is not a dish I'd recommend. The beauty of Thai food is its harmonious blend of sweet, salty, sour, and spicy. The Pad Thai leaned more sweet than anything. Everything was amazing from the drinks to the bartender to the main course! The bartender was lovely. She was attentive and made some great suggestions. I love that they offer happy hour even on the weekends. We were able to sit and chill for more than two hour enjoying company, drinks and food. We ordered appetizers from the happy hour menu and pad Thai for the main course. We were absolutely stuffed by the end of the meal! The spicy edamame was so good, we wanted to lick the bowl. The beef jerky was impressive! You know it's a great place when a couple of regulars show up and greets the staff with hugs. While this is a cozy spot and the food was fresh, we encountered poor service and communication with our server and kitchen. It wasn't busy, but our server seemed distracted. When taking our family's order, she stopped to talk to a coworker, which resulted in her asking me again what I ordered and not inputting the part of our order correctly. We asked for the Lao egg rolls but we received crispy vegetable rolls instead. We also asked for medium spicy for 2 dishes and there was no spice on either, so we got her attention to ask for some chili sauce. We ordered one appetizer and four entrées, and even then, the quantities felt insufficient. We also ended up getting additional drinks and a crepe from A Day Cafe next door. Overall, the dinner portions felt too small for the price point. For just a couple of dollars more, I would prefer going to Asian Mint, where the portions are more generous and offer better value. read more

The flavor was very well incorporated and nothing was too strong. The lime flavor added zest to the dish and it was overall very good. Yum Pla Duk Fu is Crispy Fluffy Fish with Mango and Salad. I will say that the onions were a bit on the more acidic side but the mangos were really sweet and good so that balanced it out. The fish was super crispy and there was not a strong fishy taste which was good. Overall, delicious food and good-sized portions to enjoy! VIBES The place is pretty small but comfy. It's pretty dimly lit throughout and the seating is a little squished and close together. There are both booths and tables. It seems like a great plate for a casual date or catch-up with a friend. The location is also close to a lot of small shops too which makes it a good location to walk around and hang out. SERVICE The service is really sweet. My friend is Thai and when she asked for a certain dish, they didn't have it but provided her with the Thai Street Eats menu. When we asked for more rice, it came out quickly. Sakhuu is a Thai restaurant with an upscaled and fancier presence. The dining space is a narrow room with a bar, nice soft lighting, and great ambiance. The food is good, and has many harder to find authentic dishes, like the crispy and flakey fried catfish with mango salad. The food is overall very good, but unfortunately falls short of spectacular due to small issues. The crispy fish salad comes in a huge serving, and really could have used additional dressing on the side to prevent the crispy fish from going soggy. The crispy noodles in the Khao Soi was chewy and lacked the crunch you want. And the Duck Roti was a bit too salty. Overall these are minor issues that can be normally overlooked at other restaurants, but Sakhuu has a slightly more premium price point, making these issues more glaring. If you are looking for good food, good drinks, and a great atmosphere however, this would be a wonderful place to meet up for a dinner with friends. If you're just a foodie looking for an authentic thai dinner experience, this might not be the best fit for you. read more

I came here for an early dinner on a Saturday and I had a pretty solid experience! We started off with the Duck roti and some drinks, which were both really good! Duck roti kinda reminded me of pecking duck with the sauce on there, the roti texture was flakey and chewy! Then we got the ping gai which was super good - it came with sticky rice and papaya salad which pairs really well with the chicken! Overall pretty solid experience! Service was also super nice, the bartender always made sure we had what we needed and any recommendations he had. This is more of a preference review. My service was great. She came by multiple times checking on me. The spring rolls were good. I'd get them again. The pad Thai for me was too sweet. Saturday evening we were able to walk-in and get a table for 3 right away. Tucked away in a little corner of the green, this place is a perfect spot for a quick bite of savory Thai food. Service and food are worth every penny. Authentic and elevated Thai food. I go here or the temple for my fix. Their khao soi and chicken larb are addictive. My boyfriend and grandpa love them, too. The best chicken larb I have had. Second best was a family stall that used to be at the temple that stopped showing up. Their larb is complex in flavor and very refreshing.
