Some friends wanted to try Pho Sen in Richardson for the Beli grind. I've been to the Richardson Chinatown plaza so many times but have never tried this place before. I got the eye of round steak with tendon and tripe. I also shared a spring roll appetizer. The spring roll is pretty solid. It's good but nothing will beat homemade spring rolls. The Pho was good, my sister and I came in for a late lunch . We had the spring rolls as an appetizer and they are fresh. The service was good the brought our drinks and appetizers out right away. The ambiance in a cozy Vietnamese restaurant. Now of course I have to check out the restrooms. They are not really for the mobility challenged. The hall to the restrooms is used for storage and for the carts they use to help clean off the tables. When you get into the restroom. The toilet is low and there are no safety hand rails for anyone to use to help grip. In front of the toilet is some type of drain that has a screwed top that sticks up and could be a trip hazard. When we arrived, we didn't have to wait and were seated right away. There are several options for pho. I ordered the one that came in a stone pot. It kept my pho hot the entire time I ate it. If you like your pho to cool down a bit, there are items on the menu where the pho comes in the regular bowls. First off, the broth was delicious. I loved how the meat just fell off the oxtail bone. The steak strips come raw so you can cook to your own liking. The noodles come separate as well so you can eat and cook them to your liking. I'm lazy, so I dump everything in. I recommend taking the oxtail out on a plate so you can take the meat off and then place them back in the broth to keep it warm. read more

I usually get their pho but this time I got the Bo ne, I think that's what is called which is a typical breakfast in Vietnam. I never had it in the US before or seen it at any Vietnamese restaurant so I had to try it. It was so good with the different textures and everything mixed together with the bread. My favorite item is the Shrimp Egg Rolls which is off menu, but available for ordering from the menu on the black board near the cash register. It's super crispy and full of flavor. I went here with my family post thanksgiving and I can say that their service was A1. The servers here were attentive and very pleasant. They checked up on us at least twice and the food came out at a good time. The pho was a little bit bland. I guess I should've ordered some nuoc beo (aromatic fat that you usually can order to add). The young lady server took our drink orders and brought us warm water rather than iced or even room temperature water.
