Pandan Flan Cake

If I could give this place 6 stars, I would! Such was my experience in terms of food, service and just overall quality. Everything we got was great but some highlights definitely were the Bella Frita Burger which is so unique and tasty and my husband really enjoyed the Cuban Sandwich. They make everything from scratch and it's evident. I love the empanadas too and the pandan flan cake was so tasty! I can't wait to go back and try more things just cause we couldn't try everything at once the first time. I'd also say that the owner was so sweet and she was so personable and friendly. She took the time to explain everything and was just the best! We are definitely going back!!!

If you like flan, this is where you go. I didn't know flan came in so many different flavors/varieties... and they're all good! The flans come in nice plastic containers too, ready to be stored in your fridge. I haven't tried the other food and pastries at the shop, only the flans, but they all look good.

Delicious little sweet treat and coffee. Grab a flan to eat there or to go. Plenty of options in the case. Some food options as well, although I didn't try this time. Limited seating inside.

SOOOO GLAD I FOUND THIS PLACE WHILE AT WORK. Its top notch! The customer service is amazing, there is a sweet lady there who is such a joy, Id stop by there just to see her if I could. They are vegetarian friendly having meatless options for everything on the menu. This is my second time trying the black bean burger and its just as amazing as the first time i tried it. Bursting with so much FLAVOR. Their cuisine is cuban inspired so my next purchase will be trying the vegetarian cuban sandwich! Cant wait. Give them a try the bean burger is the best Ive ever had, taste fresh, flavorful, and its huge. The place looks lovely inside and does have a couple of seating tables if you wanna grab a bite inside. Give this place a try!

My mom brought me this for lunch the other day. First time eating Cuban food and OMG was it ever so delicious! The seafood stuffed potato balls were to d-i-e for!!! I will absolutely try more items in their menu. Yummy!!!

The lady who seems to be the face of the place is the sweetest person on Earth I believe. The portions are large and definitely shareable. I got the Cuban wrap and it comes with fresh made plantain chips that they serve with a yummy mojo sauce. Ask for extra. The desserts! The desserts! That strawberry cheese pastry is scrumptious. I definitely should have gotten 2. I also got the ube flan cake. I'm not even a custard fan, but their custard is so good. It has the best texture. These desserts are addictive.

Rejoice California transplants! If you long and miss Porto's, this place will bring tears of fatty joy and nostalgia. Not only is the owner here the sweetest person, they take great pride in their fantastic food. The interior has a cheerful & welcoming atmosphere to complement the service. I took my friends who are Cuban food snobs and they were blown away by the food here. Here are my top favorites that will delight your culinary palate: 1. Guava Pastelito/ Guava & Cheese pastelito. Words can't describe this culinary delight so try it yourself and you'll see why words doesn't do this justice. 2. Quesitos (cheese roll) Amazing, flakey sweet roll with a gentle vanilla cream cheese filling. It's so rich but dangerous because I put away 4 rolls without realizing it. 3. Crawfish Potato Ball If you love crawfish etouffee, this is like savory little etouffee bites stuffed in a potato ball. These things are huge! Like small baseballs! The Cuban sandwiches are bursting full of flavor and the plantain chips are the best I've ever had. I'll be leaving more reviews as I sample everything on the menu while succumbing to fattiness.

I feel really guilty that I haven't reviewed them sooner. Bella flan has been a staple and go to restaurant for me since they opened. I love a good sandwich, and their Cubano is second to none. I have been trying to get back to be vegetarian these last few months, and I will tell you...their vegetarian Cubano is just as good, or even better! It's a cute little space, and the service is amazing. The owner is so sweet! She always remembers me, and thanks me for coming in. Today was my daughter's bday, and all she wanted for dinner was a quesadilla from Bella Flan. I mentioned to her in passing that it was my daughter's bday, and she gave her a treat on the house! Great food, great service, great people. I highly recommend

Great food in an unassuming plaza. Service is top notch. She was so friendly. The Cuban sandwich is a must! There are also lots of pastries that were great. If you love Cuban coffee, they make a really good one here. It is hard to find one made right in dfw. Save room for dessert! Parking was easy. They have indoor and outdoor seating.

And that salsa verde on top? So good. Both the chilaquiles and the blueberry Earl Grey scone were my favorites. The scone was especially nice and moist with a unique flavor combo. I also liked the churro cruffin, and the birria brisket croque madame was delish and satisfying. Two of us ordered the Sweet Potato Latte and one got the Turkish latte, all half sweet (we generally prefer less sweetness than most), and all three of us really liked ours. Service was also great -- even though it was packed, our server was attentive and friendly. Great spot if you want something a little different for brunch or a bakery stop. Definitely worth checking out.

The waiting area was really nice and spacious. We got to try the Love Potion Latte (limited time), the Croissant Monkey Bread ($4.75), and the Birria Brisket Croque Madame ($19). The Love Potion Latte was okay, it's made of chocolate mocha, espresso, milk, and dried strawberry chunks. The Croissant Monkey Bread was delicious. The dough pulled apart so well and the cinnamon sugar on top added a nice touch to it. They toasted your bread too so it was warm and moist. The Birria Brisket Croque Madame was the best! It is a huge portion and we cut it in halves already, but it filled us up! The sourdough was still crispy, well-toasted, and it absorbed the juices from the birria so well. We went for a light breakfast but came out so full and stuffed. The prices are a bit expensive but it was reasonable for the quality and portion size. They are sooo packed though with customers coming in and out at all time. I would definitely make reservations next time!

There's two phone numbers on the door. I called the top one (972-815-7560) which was written more clearly. A lady answered, and we spoke a mix of mediocre Mandarin and mediocre English. (The reviews say they speak Cantonese.) She said my order of a dozen would take 30-35 min, $35, cash only. I set an alarm and napped in the car. After 40 min, I stepped into the store and greeted Dragon Mak (who now appropriately looks decades older than his photo on the wall). As we waited for the egg tarts to finish baking, we chatted in broken Mandarin about how his wife passed away 6 months ago, how much it cost to bury her, how much it cost to purchase his nearby home decades ago, how he used to live in the Houston Chinatown and how affordable it was back in the day...
