Really loved the environment and the atmosphere, even at 11am the place was full with people and noise. They offer a diverse selection of dessert, that we lost count. The best halal dessert place till now I've seen in USA. Tried their viral teddy chocolate, but it was hard without any hot chocolate syrup. Will try their kinafa next time

We came here after dinner. Their menu is so big. The menu is wide and expensive. There are a lot of seating areas, and the music is good. They were busy, so service may take a minute. Their ice cream is so good. We got some weird flavors. Banana hazelnut, traditional Arabic ice cream, almond brittle, and s'mores. It was so good.

It was around midnight, and the line was very long and there were no seats available to sit inside. However the pastries were very good. We got a lot of stuff, but the staff was very patient with us. The hard shell chocolate from the mushroom was very satisfying. Will definitely come back!

I came here 2x while I was in Dallas! This location is BUSY on the weekend, so expect to be circling the parking lot for a while to find a spot. I tried the Knafeh and Dubai Chocolate Strawberry Cup. Both tasted great! The Knafeh took a while to come out, but that's because they make it fresh. Ambience is really nice, as well. Definitely a staple if you're in the Dallas area!

One of our favorite dessert spots in the Dallas area! Our favorite items here are the baklava and pistachio desserts - they have a really good pistachio cake (probably my favorite) and cheesecake. They also have Dubai chocolate! For when we are dining in, we will usually get a latte or cappuccino as well. If you come with friends and want to hang out for a bit, there is a patio outside to sit and eat at. Another tip, they also sell boxes of their desserts which make great gifts!

After an all you can eat seafood boil, this was the only way to end the night! Quick friendly service! It was packed when we walked in and finding a table can be hard, so come with a friend and have them grab a table that's open! These desserts remind me of great time in the kitchen with my mom and growing up making these desserts with her! It's always buzzing with friendly faces, both guests and staff, and a great energy from everyone! It's very much a community gathering and a great one!

A friend recommended this place to us many different pastries, and food items from at least and I wanted to try some of the KanafaFah when you enter, you find very different variety of ice cream flour that you don't find in the usual ice cream shops and you'll find plenty of desserts in Phil wraps. This is an authentic Middle Eastern Cafe. I recommend everyone to visit this place. Their service is outstanding once you pay the bill you get the food within 5 to 10 minutes and the ambience is just very chill. We ordered a bunch of stuff. Everything tasted amazing.

Awesome Karak tea and the famous Dubai Chocolate! This place is always crowded with familes and locals for desserts , gelatos and backlavas. It has lively atmosphere all the time. You know that this place is good as the line is always long.

This was my most time trying some of the stuff I got like the Dubai chocolate bar and Dubai chocolate strawberries, and some of the pastries and wow, I loved every single thing I got. Me and the family came here during Eid and this placed was packed! It was awesome to see community flocking to this place during my very first visit. It's obviously very popular and for good reason! It's a must visit if you're in the Dallas area

Bigdash - A Dallas Favorite I'll Truly Miss! Bigdash has been one of my absolute favorite spots during my time in Dallas. I've visited their Richardson location many times, and every single time I try something new, I walk away impressed and satisfied. From their variety of ice creams to the different types of cakes and traditional Arabic desserts, everything I've tried has been consistently delicious. The quality, flavor, and attention to detail in their desserts really stand out, it's clear they put a lot of care into what they serve. One of the highlights of my experience has also been the amazing service. There's a young woman who works there, originally from Morocco, and although I don't know her name, I want to give her a special shoutout--she's always friendly, helpful, and makes every visit even better! Sadly, I'v moved to Kansas now, and one of my biggest wishes is for Bigdash to open a location in KC. I know I'm really going to miss everything I've enjoyed here. I didn't take pictures of everything I've tried (I was too busy enjoying it ), but I'll leave a few photos below of some of the desserts I did manage to capture. If you haven't tried Bigdash yet, especially the Richardson branch, I highly recommend it. Truly one of the dessert gems in Dallas!

The desserts here are to die for. And I'm pretty bummed it took me so long to finally try this place. The interior is pretty big with lots of tables and there is a large selection of different items: baklavas, pastries, knafeh, ice creams, and more. Service is also friendly and quick! My favorites here are the dubai chocolate, red knafeh, and the cookie butter roll. The dubai chocolate bar is soo milky and decadent and has a perfect crunch from the pistachio cream kataifi. The red knafeh is perfect for cheese lovers since it comes with a layer of sweet cheese under the toasted kataifi, and is made fresh to order. The cookie butter roll is my favorite one of the rolls I've tried but all the other rolls are awesome as well, with a crispy exterior and creamy interior. The desserts here are all super tasty and the workers are all very nice and helpful. I love this place and would definitely recommend trying their desserts out!!

Okay, I just tried the cookie butter Dubai chocolate and it is SO good. The regular Dubai chocolate is also really good. Is it pricey? Yes. Would I get it again?...probably. lol

Afrah is THE place to be for Mediterranean food - before Greenville Ave became Arab central, before there was anyone, there was Afrah. A beautiful, airy restaurant with gorgeous seating, a bustling dessert case, ice cream center and so many treats to offer under one roof. Afrah is to the Muslim community in Richardson as a glove is to a hand. It truly is a one stop shop for all your nostalgic cravings, and it would be a grave injustice on my part if I didn't stop by here and sing praise to one of the most loved Mediterranean restaurants in the DFW area. We visited here recently for an iftar buffet experience and were very very happy with the food we got. The buffet line was running smoothly, from staff working diligently to hand everyone a tray with napkins, plates and cutlery already set for you. Waiters were going around the massive dining hall clearing plates, making sure everyone had what they needed, seating patrons and asking if everything tasted good. This establishment runs like a literal well oiled machine and I am so impressed. The food was as always out of this world. Carefully prepared menu that satisfies everyone's taste buds. A good selection of classic cold appetizers like the baba ghanoush, hummus, and variety of salads. Always including something unique for a typical Middle Eastern flare. Hot lentil soup available with bowls carefully placed in the vicinity. So many different types of kebabs and freshly made hot pita bread being replaced like clockwork. The buffet had many of my favorite classics like Shawarma meat, beef kebab, chicken kebab. Lamb, chicken stew, baked chicken, everything was present in abundance. They even had salmon which I deeply appreciated as a seafood lover. My only complaint is the food wasn't hot enough which can be annoying with a buffet that is serving so many people during a busy time like Ramadan. Everything tasted absolutely phenomenal and when I returned for dessert, I was greeted with six different types of sweets from all over the world. That's the thing about this place. There's always something for everybody. The dining hall was bustling with not just Muslim patrons, but also a lot of American white patrons who equally enjoy the food here as much as we do. Inclusions of dishes like shrimp pasta, fried fish, chocolate mousse, and other fan favorites is a humble nod to non-Arab customers who love to frequent this place as much as we do. If you are looking for a quality Mediterranean experience look no further than this long-standing Mediterranean Haven. Thank you for nourishing the community.

There wasn't really any service to speak of since its buffet style. The ambiance was a pretty typical cafetera style restaurant. The sauces are amazing - tzatziki, hummus, baba ghanoush, and more. I personally love the chicken cooked in a yogurt sauce, roasted cauliflower, and chickpea moussaka as my top standouts, but truly there are too many delicious things to name. I love how many chicken options there are as someone who isn't crazy about beef or pork. There is also falafel and plenty of beans for your vegan/ vegetarian friends. There were markers for allergies / preferences on the labels, but I didn't attend too closely as I don't have dietary restrictions. They have tasty rice pudding topped with pistachios and fresh fruit as something sweet to pair with your meal. I enjoy the lentil soup for dipping pita bread in. This was a fabulous adventure! We took a few hours to visit Sarahs Market and ate lunch at their S Grill. The market is very small, but every inch of its space is very special. First, we found our way to the back corner and sat at a tiny countertop with only 4 chairs. The counter faces an open top grill, and you're able to talk/ watch the chefs make the food. The menu is limited and pricey! We ordered one steak kabob ($26.00). The steak was served medium rare, very juicy, on top of a long rice (similar to rice pasta), and it was coated in a delicious seasoning completely unfamiliar to us. It came with roasted tomatoes & purple onion. You can select from several sides, we picked the hummus. It was a huge portion, enough for 2 people. The chef was so pleased to have us and was very impressed that we were there to learn. He gave us many "generous" sized samples of the sides and sauces they offered. Everything was made in-house, from scratch with fresh ingredients from their grocery store. It was a wonderful experience! The bakery aspect of this location is a small glass display case full of sweets, like macaroons, cheesecake baklava, and more. Most of them were new to us. The pastry chef gave us a few samples that had us buying a bunch to take home, lol. We strolled through the grocery store part of the market before leaving and bought a few items we already enjoyed. The difference was buying things that are made in-house, like pita bread. You can definitely see, smell, and taste the difference. A FIVE STAR review for their authenticity, hospitality, and delicious fresh food. If you're in the area you've got to try the Grilled Kabobs.
