    Freshly baked pita bread
    Vu N.

This Mediterranean buffet had a huge food selection, but the best part for me was the pita bread. Fresh, warm, soft and perfect for dipping. The garlic sauce was delicious, wealthy and flavorful. I appreciate their precise attention to cleanliness and considerate provision of gloves, preventing guests from handling serving utensils with bare hands. One small, mindful gesture is important. It makes a large difference. The food, service and buffet make it worth a visit.

    Advertised Price

Beware! False advertising of the buffet pricing. Very deceptive. The manager lacks customer service, and the food is terrible. The website advertises Buffet Pricing as $16.99 All day Sat and Sunday. We paid $51.94 for two buffets on a Sunday, versus the $34 (plus tax) we expected (see pics). When we showed the manager the online price, she was dismissive and said the online prices were wrong and they were "working on it". (I wish I had seen the previous reviews from months ago that also mentioned this.) There was no attempt to price-match or to offer any apologies for the misleading information. The food was bland and cold, and we merely took a bite of each item in hope of finding at least one thing we enjoyed, but were sorely disappointed. I wouldn't eat here if it were free. Save your time and money and go to Afrah or Dimassi's around the corner on Campbell and 75.

Grilled chicken, Greek Salad, pita bread

We had dinner at Andalous Mediterranean Buffet and really enjoyed it. The grilled chicken was tender and full of flavor the pasta salad was fresh and well-seasoned and the Greek salad had the perfect mix of crisp veggies and tangy dressing. There were so many great options to choose from and everything tasted fresh. The staff was friendly and kept the buffet clean and well stocked. The atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming making it a great spot for a casual meal. We will definitely be back.

Simple process. Walk in, pay, and you're good to go. Nice not having to chase down someone for the bill. Anyways, grab a plate and go. Nice full selection at all times. When my friend and I arrived, the buffet line was full of people. Big group in the room on the side. I was pleased with how plentiful the staff kept the food at all times. All the food was very flavorful. From the salads and dips to the sides and meats. Some favorites were the Greek Salad, Spicy Hummus, and the Coriander Potatoes. Meat-wise, I loved the Beef & Chicken Kebab, Kebab Meatballs, and Gyro Meat. Everything was very good. Would definitely recommend! Go hungry!

Lovely atmosphere and beautiful interior decor

This is a nice restaurant with fresh food, a clean environment, and beautiful interior decor. They offer most of the classic Mediterranean dishes, like hummus and kebabs, which were delicious and well-prepared. However, I felt the meat selection was a bit limited--they mainly had chicken, beef, and gyro. I was hoping to see more variety, such as lamb, salmon, or other seafood, which I typically expect at a Mediterranean restaurant. I'd consider revisiting for the lovely atmosphere, but probably not for the food alone.

The food was nice, but could it have been better? Yes. The dishes were a bit bland, lacking salt, though the way they served the meals was good. Having coffee and tea options is definitely a plus. However, it often feels like they blast the AC to the max just to make you leave quickly

Afrah is THE place to be for Mediterranean food - before Greenville Ave became Arab central, before there was anyone, there was Afrah. A beautiful, airy restaurant with gorgeous seating, a bustling dessert case, ice cream center and so many treats to offer under one roof. Afrah is to the Muslim community in Richardson as a glove is to a hand. It truly is a one stop shop for all your nostalgic cravings, and it would be a grave injustice on my part if I didn't stop by here and sing praise to one of the most loved Mediterranean restaurants in the DFW area. We visited here recently for an iftar buffet experience and were very very happy with the food we got. The buffet line was running smoothly, from staff working diligently to hand everyone a tray with napkins, plates and cutlery already set for you. Waiters were going around the massive dining hall clearing plates, making sure everyone had what they needed, seating patrons and asking if everything tasted good. This establishment runs like a literal well oiled machine and I am so impressed. The food was as always out of this world. Carefully prepared menu that satisfies everyone's taste buds. A good selection of classic cold appetizers like the baba ghanoush, hummus, and variety of salads. Always including something unique for a typical Middle Eastern flare. Hot lentil soup available with bowls carefully placed in the vicinity. So many different types of kebabs and freshly made hot pita bread being replaced like clockwork. The buffet had many of my favorite classics like Shawarma meat, beef kebab, chicken kebab. Lamb, chicken stew, baked chicken, everything was present in abundance. They even had salmon which I deeply appreciated as a seafood lover. My only complaint is the food wasn't hot enough which can be annoying with a buffet that is serving so many people during a busy time like Ramadan. Everything tasted absolutely phenomenal and when I returned for dessert, I was greeted with six different types of sweets from all over the world. That's the thing about this place. There's always something for everybody. The dining hall was bustling with not just Muslim patrons, but also a lot of American white patrons who equally enjoy the food here as much as we do. Inclusions of dishes like shrimp pasta, fried fish, chocolate mousse, and other fan favorites is a humble nod to non-Arab customers who love to frequent this place as much as we do. If you are looking for a quality Mediterranean experience look no further than this long-standing Mediterranean Haven. Thank you for nourishing the community.

There wasn't really any service to speak of since its buffet style. The ambiance was a pretty typical cafetera style restaurant. This was a fabulous adventure! We took a few hours to visit Sarahs Market and ate lunch at their S Grill. The market is very small, but every inch of its space is very special. First, we found our way to the back corner and sat at a tiny countertop with only 4 chairs. The counter faces an open top grill, and you're able to talk/ watch the chefs make the food. The menu is limited and pricey! We ordered one steak kabob ($26.00). The steak was served medium rare, very juicy, on top of a long rice (similar to rice pasta), and it was coated in a delicious seasoning completely unfamiliar to us. It came with roasted tomatoes & purple onion. You can select from several sides, we picked the hummus. It was a huge portion, enough for 2 people. The chef was so pleased to have us and was very impressed that we were there to learn. He gave us many "generous" sized samples of the sides and sauces they offered. Everything was made in-house, from scratch with fresh ingredients from their grocery store. It was a wonderful experience! The bakery aspect of this location is a small glass display case full of sweets, like macaroons, cheesecake baklava, and more. Most of them were new to us. The pastry chef gave us a few samples that had us buying a bunch to take home, lol. We strolled through the grocery store part of the market before leaving and bought a few items we already enjoyed. The difference was buying things that are made in-house, like pita bread. You can definitely see, smell, and taste the difference. A FIVE STAR review for their authenticity, hospitality, and delicious fresh food. If you're in the area you've got to try the Grilled Kabobs.

Located in Arlington, the restaurant is divided in 2 sections and the place has quite a casual and local vibe We, a party of 5 were immediately seated and the server aptly took our order. As we were famished, we ordered..a lot: -Mazza Plate -Falafel -Fries -Gyro Special Plate -2 Chicken Shawarma(Bank Special) plate (comes with Rice, Hummus, Tzatziki sauce and Pita) -Falafel Plate - Gyro Sandwich Dessert: -Baklava -Burma Since we love spicy, we asked for our food to be spiced up. 5-10 mins later, the food began to arrive. First impression was the portion size was huge. At the onset we knew we ordered too much. The Mazza plate was amazing with assortment of Middle-Eastern appetizers i.e. hummus, babaganoush, tabouli salad, dolmas, with kalamata olives and pita. We absolutely loved the dimas and the hummus and pita bread was fresh. The Shawarma plates were pretty decent and the chicken and gyro meats were well cooked and seasoned, however the spicy sauce they use was a bit more on the tangy side than on spicy side. Which was a let down. Falafels we crunchy and were pretty decent. The fries however were huge let down. They were too oily and the taste of overused oil was pretty evident. The best part for us were the desserts. The Baklava was great but the Burma blew us away. The roasted Cashes and angel hair with honey was truly delicious. To Foodies: This is quite a famous place for middle easter food, main reason being it was covered by The food network. Do try their Shawarma Plate , especially Gyro plate, it is pretty awesome. Also the quantity is good. However, I would recommend to stay away from fries or be careful of deep fried items. Do try the desserts, you'll fall in love. Overall, it is a good place but I have had much better. May be the standards have gone down a bit over the years. To Management: You have a wonderful staff, good location and the food is pretty decent..However I'd recommened to keep a check on your oil used for deep fried stuff. The fries were a huge let down. One bite and i frlt that bad taste of oil at the back of my throat. Also please revamp your spicy sauce a bit. Too much vinegar. Overall Rating: 6.5/10 Signing off Rahul V.S. aka CanIndian Foodie

It's not exactly close to me, but the menu convinced us to give it a try. My husband went with the buffet and enjoyed the variety -- hummus, gyro, salad, and pita bread -- and felt the price was a great value for what was offered. I ordered the pastitsio. It wasn't quite the same as the versions I've had in Chicago, where I've enjoyed both homemade and restaurant-made versions. This one was still enjoyable, but not as flavorful as I remembered. The béchamel sauce was creamy, though I felt it needed a bit more seasoning, and the tomato sauce leaned a little too soupy for my taste. I took the moussaka to go. It had a very similar flavor profile to the pastitsio, but instead of pasta, it featured layers of eggplant and ground beef. It was comforting and hearty, though the flavors felt a bit repetitive between the two dishes. The cheese bread that came with both the pastitsio and moussaka was really good -- warm, soft, and a great pairing with the meal. Service was fantastic -- friendly and attentive -- and the space, while small, had a cozy, homey feel. Overall, I'm glad I finally got my pastitsio fix, and it was a pleasant experience.
