Very yummy gelato spot! Introduced to me from my sister in law and brother, this wasn't their first rodeo. We did dinner with them and our dessert tummies were ready soon thereafter. Bazaria had two of my fav gelato flavors, pistachio and fig. The quality of the gelato reminds me of my fav spot back home in LA (Pazzo in Silverlake). I loved all of the funny little posters on the wall, really created a fun time. We all had something to say about the wrappers. I mean this was an adult gelato run, minus my fetus nephew but he should really know his family's vibe before arriving earthside so his aunt, cousins and moms comments on the wrappers hopefully got through to him. My friend loves this place and is intent on trying every flavor, so she brought me along to try it out. I was pleased to see plenty of nondairy flavors including brownie batter and a variety of fruit-based sorbets including lemon, guava, strawberry, mixed berry, and more. I ended up getting scoops of the brownie batter (my favorite) and mixed berry ($7) which tasted wonderful, the rich chocolate melding with the refreshing and sweet berry. My friend got the Dubai chocolate and cherry cheesecake this time and also liked it, although she said the Dubai chocolate was quite sweet and made the cherry cheesecake taste sour in comparison. After leaving Pita Town my husband and I stopped in to get some gelato and yogurt. We were drawn in by the beautiful designs on top of the gelato. The designs were very unique as we have been to quite a few gelato places and none of them had designs on top of the gelato that were this extensive. It seems like a lot of attention was paid to the design of the gelato. There were plenty of flavors of yogurt and gelato to choose from. There were also quite a bit of toppings such as fresh fruit, popping boba, nuts and various candies to name a few. The establishment itself is very well decorated and well maintained. There were no sticky floors, tables or toppings all over the place like I have seen in some ice cream and yogurt shops. I like that the toppings are behind the glass and are protected from kids reaching their hands into the toppings and helping themselves. The gentleman working behind the counter was friendly and promptly waited on us when we arrived. We tried a few samples of the gelato and my husband decided to go with the thin mint and I decided to get frozen yogurt with fresh fruit toppings. Gelato is always 5 stars. Though sweet a baby Jesus, when we were sitting down a group of girls barge in with two guardian parents. They go up and get free samples. Upon having the free samples they start to leave. You could ye the gentleman behind the counter was peeved and rightly so! Coming in for free samples then promptly exiting without buying a single gelato is just mean. Well, not promptly as one of the girls stayed in the doorway for a full minute letting cold air flood the store. My wife finally yelled, "close the door" to which one of the parents ushered her through. I think it may have been the troop of girls from the dance studio upstairs. Anyway, not cool at all. Staff - 5/5 - Friendly and courteous. They were patient as we were trying to determine what to get here. Food - What we ordered (just gelato): Ferrero Rocher - 4/5 - Definitely tastes like one, but I enjoyed the other two flavors more. Salted Butter Caramel - 5/5 -This one was excellent. The salt along with the caramel just mixed well. Def recommend. Cookies & Cream - 5/5 - Classic. Nothing special here, but I am just a cookies & cream fan altogether. I used to come here every now and again, but haven't been recently. Visited earlier today and its safe to say that this place is no longer the same. Prices are incredibly high for frozen yogurt, and I didn't have much that warranted such a high price. If that doesn't drive you away, maybe the expired food items will. For example, a chocolate syrup that expired 5 months ago, or the extremely sour taste of the yogurt, which has to be far from normal.
