Wonderful Palestinian dessert shop. Just opened a few weeks ago but already one of our favorite places. They gave a sample of the Arabic coffee that was very nice and was loaded with flavor. We saw someone picking up a ton of baklava trays too so you know it was gonna be good. We got different baklavas and they tasted very fresh with generous amounts of pistachios. We also got the Ben Narain knafeh which was new for us but we liked it a lot. It had a very crunchy texture on top with a smooth solid cream on the bottom that wasn't overly sweet. They have tons of options and what we had so far was great and came wait to try more.

Stumbled upon this gem following an Instagram post and I was in the local area. It's booming with life even close to midnight! I enjoyed the desserts but not sure if it's a repeat kind of place. The prices are steep but it's definitely an experience. Service was friendly and attentive.

Super cute hole in the wall middle eastern bakery! We loved everything we ordered from the chocolate baklava cake to the basbousa and birds nest etc. Everything is so fresh and full of deliciousness! The owner was super friendly and even had us try Arabic coffee which full of caffeinated goodness. Can't wait to be back!

Was so excited to try Lelas Sweets but left very disappointed. When we were walking in, it looked like the owner or someone that worked there was right behind us so we opened the door for her, she did not smile or say hello or thank you, walked right in and to the back. Ok whatever, no big deal. We get inside and the young man at the register is standing there and looking busy boxing things up, did not greet us or say be right with you, nothing. We stood there for a good 3-4 minutes before I walked up to him and asked if anyone was available to help us. This was our first time so we had questions about items near the front of the store (he was towards the back at the register). Items are small and expensive ($1.99 each) and not worth the price. Since I was there already, I made a purchase of a few items for my parents to try but I will not be returning. Good customer service is required and if someone cannot say hello or I'll be right with you, they will no longer have my business. It's a shame because I do not like leaving bad reviews, especially for a small family business but I cannot get past the rude customer service we received here. Too many other competitors that I can buy from.

This small treat spot I saw on TikTok has the strawberry cups and the bars of Dubai chocolate! The small bar was around $8.99 and it is kept cold for the perfect crunchy bite. The strawberry cups had the most perfectly ripe strawberries I've ever had. I will be back to try the baklava and their crepes! The line move super quick and 100% worth a try!

The most authentic middle eastern cafe, very welcoming and just delicious in every way. They offer free coffee that pairs perfect with the treats & fruit. I drive an hour to visit, and it's worth it every time. The atmosphere is laid back & relaxing. Thank you!

You definitely want to come in and pick your sweets. Everything i tasted was quality. They even have extra syrup on the tables. Leanne helped me and was amazing. I will be back.

I had came to try the Dubai strawberry chocolate and asked for extra pistachio paste they charge $2 which was okay but they literally put more kataifi than pistachio I didn't even taste the pistachio

Fortunately, if you're not dining in, ordering from the to-go line is very quick, and there's even a comfy seating area in the front where you can enjoy your food and beverages. In addition to a double shot espresso I ordered, I also got a broccoli mac and cheese croissant. The croissant was expensive ($7.50), but it's hearty enough to be a meal. I wasn't offered an option to toast up the pastry, but I didn't particularly mind the coldness of the mac and cheese component of the pastry. The croissant surrounding the filling was flakey with nicely laminated layers. Meanwhile, the filling was satisfyingly salty and rich. Although the pastry was tasty, it's probably something I would only try once -- rather than something I would get regularly, due to how heavy the pastry ate. Overall, if you're looking for skillfully prepared, creative pastries, La Casita Bakeshop definitely fits the bill.

I made a reservation for my friend and I a few days early because they tend to get busy, and were seated immediately upon arrival. Our server was attentive and very friendly, and understood exactly what I wanted when I placed an order of the baked goods before anything else, since those tend to sell out as the morning progresses. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich special and was so excited I forgot to take a picture! The place was busy but the volume was never so loud that my friend and I felt the need to raise our voices, and the smell of freshly baked bread was very comforting. We left feeling satisfied and with plenty of leftovers. The price was also extremely reasonable, except for the box of desserts I ordered to go lol we did give the olive oil cake a try before departing, and it was delightful. Can't wait to get another chance to come back!

Inside has lots of sitting areas, but it does get filled fast with people who want to relax and study or read a quiet book to themselves. Located among the shops and bars of historic downtown sits 1418 Coffee, a cute and genuinely great little shop that fits the area perfectly. Inside, the shop is fairly narrow but offers a good amount of both indoor and outdoor seating. I arrived with a friend a little before 11 am on a Sunday, and it was absolutely packed. A biking group was posted up outside, students were inside working on homework, even though most colleges have not started yet, and plenty of other patrons were taking their Sunday mornings easy. Despite having at least 10 to 15 people in front of us, the line moved pretty quickly. My friend who was more of a regular at the shop knew a lot of the staff and had convos with them. It feels like a little community! I ordered the Maple Sausage Croissant sourced from Sugar Loaf Bakery along with a hot Purple Haze latte made with lavender and vanilla syrup. My drink came out fairly quickly, and I thought it was great. It was well balanced and not overly sweet. As for the Maple Sausage Croissant, it was exactly what it sounded like, a maple sausage tucked into a croissant. I initially expected the croissant itself to be maple flavored, similar to a McGriddle, but it was still fresh and enjoyable. They had been keeping them warm in a heater throughout the morning, which definitely helped. I have stopped by 1418 Coffee a few times when visiting Dallas, and I plan to keep returning. They consistently do a great job and fit right into the charm of downtown Plano. RIYL: A warm haven in a beautiful downtown.
