We basically tried half the bakery so here's the breakdown: Garlic Bread -- 8.5/10 Very good! Strong garlic flavor, which I loved, and the cheesy bread itself was sooo good. Definitely one I'd get again. Jalapeño Cream Cheese Roll -- 9/10 from me, 7/10 from my husband This one actually has a pretty strong jalapeño kick. If you don't like much spice, like my husband, you probably won't love it as much. If you DO like some heat though, it's very good! The cheesy bread really brings everything together. Hawaiian Chicken -- 8/10 Almost like a Hawaiian pizza in a bun. The marinara, chicken and cheese together were soooo yummy. No wonder it was the last one left The only thing knocking off points for me was that mine had a little too much pineapple, but overall it was super good. Chocolate Choco Bun -- 9/10 If you love super chocolatey desserts or molten chocolate cake, GET THIS. So much chocolate and the middle was super fudgy and gooey. Loved it. Chocolate Sponge Cake -- 6/10 Probably my least favorite of everything we tried, but don't get me wrong, it was still yummy! The sponge cake was super light, airy and soft, and the cream tasted really fresh. It just wasn't very sweet or exciting to me. That could definitely be a good thing if you prefer lighter desserts, it just wasn't what I was looking for today. Almond Crunch Croissant -- 5/10 The flavor was good and lightly sweet, and I liked the almonds, but ours was pretty dry and a little tough to eat. It honestly tasted like it just wasn't very fresh, so I'd probably give it another chance if I saw a fresh batch. Strawberry Cream Cake -- 8.5/10 I LOVE these. They remind me of little Japanese cheesecake cups with a creamy filling in the middle. They're not overly sweet but still super delicious, soft and creamy. Definitely one of my favorites here, and they're even better when strawberries are more in season! Berry Tart -- 7/10 Very good, although it was definitely more of a blueberry tart than a "berry" tart lol. It had a nice cream in the middle but was a little dry outside of that. I think this would be really good paired with a coffee. Coffee Cruffin -- 10/10 My husband and I essentially devoured this one It is SO freaking good and has a really strong coffee flavor. Definitely on the richer and sweeter side for a pastry. We both agreed we probably couldn't eat an entire one by ourselves because of how rich it is, but sharing one was perfect. Ours was a little dry/tough like the almond croissant, so I think it may have just not been the freshest batch, but flavor-wise? 10/10. Mango Custard Bun -- 6/10 I loved the bread on this one! Super soft and chewy with a lightly sweet mango flavor. The filling itself was just so-so for me. Overall it was still good, but probably not something I'd personally get again. As for the bakery itself, it was pretty much your average 85°C Bakery experience packed with a long line Everything was very clean though and the staff were nice. There wasn't anywhere to sit inside, so we ended up sitting outside, which honestly was more relaxing anyway. If you want a quieter experience, I'd definitely recommend coming during weekday/work hours instead of the weekend. You will NOT catch me showing my face here on a Friday or Saturday lol. Overall, lots of really good stuff and I'd absolutely come back especially for that coffee cruffin and the strawberry cream cakes. read more

We've been coming to 85°C Bakery for over 2 years and have always loved their breads, pastries, and drinks, so this review is based solely on our experience purchasing a birthday cake. My daughter chose the Strawberry Tiramisu for her birthday and was so excited to finally cut into it after dinner. Unfortunately, it was really disappointing. Instead of being light and creamy, the cake tasted dry and stale. I understand a strawberry tiramisu won't have the exact same texture as a traditional tiramisu, but the cream and cake layers were firm and lacked the fresh, mousse-like consistency we were expecting. It honestly tasted like it had been sitting for a while. It was especially disappointing because this was the centerpiece of her birthday celebration after she had picked it out herself and looked forward to it all day. We'll definitely continue coming back for the breads and drinks we know and love, but based on this visit alone, I can't give more than three stars. I'm hoping this was just an off day because we've always had great experiences otherwise. read more

I used to work right next-door and would come here almost every day. Happened to drive by today and thought I would stop in with my two kids. They were very unhelpful, super rude and when I asked if they could warm up a bun, they told me they don't warm up things for customers anymore unless they're buying a sandwich. Ummm... I just spent $30 at your restaurant. You can't warm up one bun for me? I'll go to Sweet Hut from now on. At least they act grateful for business. read more

Loved it so much the first time, had to go back a week later for more. This time I picked up a pastry, I can't recall the name but it was soft, the right amount of sweetness with the little dollop's of cream cheese making it a 10/10. read more

We had a big lunch out to celebrate so we only grabbed drinks. It was our first time here. My daughter was excited for the seasonal pumpkin drinks and added coffee jelly. I went more traditional with a green milk tea. The place was crowded and fast paced. They all did a great job. read more

They were closed in February 2026 for a remodel and recently reopened. They have more pastries now which, is good because I was getting tired of the old options. I get my usual iced sea salt caramel coffee. It's bomb. Their tea drinks are really sweet so I would skip those. read more

85 degree is a wonderful concept. Delicious pastries at low prices that you can buy in bulk for the family or grab 1 or 2 as a quick, cheap treat for yourself. I love the red bean buns and everything else I've tried has been good too. Their salted coffee and coconut mango smoothie is gas too!!! This is definitely a place you have to experience at least once, and you'll probably be hooked from there. read more

Good 85° store! This is one of my favorite chain bakeries. They have a great selection of food and very reasonably priced. The day I came in, it did not seem like it had as much food as the other chain bakery stores. But it was still very solid. The service was stellar and the ambience is great. It was clean and inviting. read more

The pastries are fantastic here! So airy and fluffy! The prices are reasonable, considering how good the sweet breads are. I actually found an Apple pie sweet bread my husband loved! Score! Everything is self serve except for the full cakes they offer behind the glass case. Beautiful cakes. They also offer coffee and boba. FYI: The bakery is CLOSED on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. This place is busy and there are plenty of seating spots available. Service is offered at the counter. Was glad I was able to pay cash. The kid was also able to count back the correct change. Nowadays that's impressive! Most kids can't count back change. 85°C Bakery Cafe specializes in fresh bread baked every hour, over 60 different varieties of breads inspired by European, Asian and Danish trades. Handcrafted beverages made to order, every coffee order is made with freshly grounded espresso beans. Teas are brewed fresh. Beautiful Cakes are offered in the glass cabinet up front. I'm super sad. This location did not have anything on their shelves or in the check out line. They only had two shelves of bread. My husband's drink was only filled half way in the cup. When he asked the girl to remake his drink she said "that's how we were taught to make them. A small amount of coffee filled with the rest foam. I'm so sad I wanted it to be better but it was not. read more

WATCH OUT FOR OVERCHARGING! In the past year I've been frequenting this location almost monthly. And more than half the times they've overcharged me for extra items I didn't get. For examples, they'll count 5, but really I only bought 4. What makes this already annoying experience even more unbearable is that when you go back to point out they overcharged you, they give you attitude! No smile, no apology. Just takes your receipt then go through your items then issue a refund unwillingly. This whole time they won't even look at you! They don't even look at you when they are talking to you...... The Asian girl ( who's..... well-fed, that's the best way I can put it) has the worst customer service! I don't know how she treats other people but my lord she was horrible with me. Say you are sorry next time you make a mistake, and spare me the dead fish look. This is US, we treat people with respect. read more

I stopped by for some breakfast on a Saturday. They were already super busy with customers inside and some waiting for pick up. There's tables inside and outside on the patio. Got some pastries and ordered drink in less than 10 mins. The drink took about 10 mins until I get it. I ordered the Taro Lavender Latte and it was really really amazing. If you are into sweeter drinks, definitely try this one!!! For pastries, I got the Garlic Cheese, Milk Pudding, Milk Tea Bun, and Choco Cream Cheese. My favorite is definitely the Milk Pudding bun and the Milk Tea bun. The filling was plenty and the bread was soft! read more

This place bakery is poorly run. Closed twice a week. Supposedly opened at 8 but not punctual. Customers go in to grab something before work. Breads are not fully refilled and cashier is not even ready to start business for the day. read more

Came here last night around 7:00 pm. The reason I'm giving 1 star is for the following: 1. Filthy inside. Saw a cockroach running across the floor as we entered. 2. There was almost no pastry selection left and what was left didn't look that appetizing. Also there were flies hovering near the cases. 3. It was pretty low in terms of the number of customers inside. I bought the almost last 5 pieces of bread/pastries. A couple had just stepped up to the counter purchasing a cake. For whatever reason their transaction took about 12 mins. When we were waiting behind the couple we lined up behind them. Only to be told by the very rude woman working there that "the line is over there" as she pointed to the zigzag queue that by then had another customer standing there. Instead of acknowledging that we had by this point waiting over 15 mins, and ringing us up. She made us go to the back of the line in the queue. Poor customer service. Unfortunate that this woman can't think about the customer and instead made a judgement call which sends the message that this business only cares about making a buck. We won't be back here. read more

The place has gone downhill quite a bit. Their breads are markedly smaller, not as fresh, and much less selection every time we go. They used to have this triangle-shaped 3-layered sandwich that was the sole reason I used to visit. It's been gone for I think years. Maybe change of ownership or what not. That was a differentiator. Otherwise, why would we even come to 85 degrees at all anymore. Lines are long because they don't have many people manning the cashier at the proper times. The store hours always seem inconvenient. We've gone several times and they were simply closed even though their posted hours online say they're open. read more

For a boba drink that costs as much as a meal somewhere else, their quality in terms of consistency is non-existent. We've bought a few dozen drinks in the past year, and we have enough data to make this claim. Sometimes the boba is too soft/mushy, sometimes undercooked and too hard, sometimes way too sweet, sometimes flavorless. The place is sometimes clean, sometimes very dirty. read more

I bought this simple cheesecake because my family enjoys these type of cakes and it looked pretty. Boy was I wrong . It was the worst cake my family has ever tried! So I always come here with that girl (BARBIE) She's my princess, and I need to PEE Especially after a Lemon Black TEA Or a King Grapefruit as deep as the SEA The clientele here are BOURGEOISIE And consume more pastries than the HPD But when it comes to Boba, I've earned my DEGREE And you need to try it at 85C! WHAT! What to eat: Egg Tarts (hot). Guava Cheese Strudel. Brioche. Fruity drink: Lemon Black Tea w tapioca. King Grapefruit Black Tea if they'll make it (they won't). King Grapefruit Green Tea, not as good as the black. What to milky drink: Sea Salt Iced Coffee. Sea Salt Iced Caramel Coffee. Sea Salt Black Tea. Also great to eat: Choco Bun. Taro Swirl. Coconut Tart. Not as good: Coffee Bread. Regular Milk Tea. Anything with green tea. Marble Taro. Red Bean Bread. Definitely not our favorite location of 85° to say the least. I asked them if they would be willing to make my grapefruit tea the way we love it with black tea and one of the employees got really standoffish with me. There are a few employees I had issues with here on the few occasions that we've been here. The Richardson location has completely spoiled me because it's so extraordinary friendly. This one is nothing of the sort. They have your typical delicious baked goods but I have yet to ever find anything here piping hot - probably because they don't sell as much of a volume as the stores where everything is usually hot. Parking is not too bad for this one. It's in a large Plaza that kind of set aside by itself. And holy crap did my goddess look good this day, am I right? (When does she not). Unfortunately much like Kung Fu Tea (and Barbie) (and me), they're very anal about not altering their products, because "it won't taste good." Psh. It's a real pain; we know what we like. We're not stupid; we don't like being treated as such. Admittedly the grapefruit is good with green tea, but I don't like the taste of green tea - one of the locations up in Dallas made it special with black tea, and it was twice as good! We would order it a lot more (and spend more money) if they'd do it with the goddamned black tea for us. And they get a big attitude here about requests like that. Or they have done. More detail: Low down on the drinks: - Lemon Black Tea is heaven. Get it with tapioca. Subtle and not too sweet. Tastes homemade. Perfect. - King Grapefruit is a huge grapefruit in a huge cup with delicious black tea (if they go off menu for you, but they won't), or mediocre green tea, excellent with boba. - Sea Salt drinks are heaven. All these are iced, not hot. The Coffee, Caramel Coffee, and Black Tea are all addictive and divine with Sea Salt and Boba, but the Caramel Coffee is the winner and is the must try drink at 85. Conclusion: Order the Caramel Sea Salt Iced Coffee. If you love lemon or grapefruit, order those with black tea. And as for the pastries: - The Egg Tart is pure heaven. When it's piping hot, it's the greasiest and one of the tastiest on the whole planet. It's not good for you, but then neither is unprotected frolicking with strangers on vacation in the third world and that never stopped you now did it. - Brioche looked like it'd be all hype, but it is as dreamy as people say it is. - Choco Bun and cookies are good - Guava Cheese Strudel is divine, much better than it sounds, may be the low key best pastry (see what I did there I'm so trendy) Some of the other stuff isn't as good. You've been warned. Conclusion: Get Egg Tart when hot, get Guava Cheese Strudel, get Brioche* *sponsored by actress Juliette "Brioche" Binoche.** **Scotsmen don't like to wait long for their Brioche, whereas The English? Today me and my partner were doing some orders, which we happened to suddenly get a 85°C Bakery Cafe order. I was so excited because I heard about it but I never went in person. So it was a good chance to at least get to know how it is, so I excitedly told my partner if he could please take a picture of the menu and some sweets! So that's when he left to go inside while I waited in the car. Minutes passed and HE comes back but not looking very happy at all and I asked what's wrong are you okay and HE happened to tell me- I went into the store. Once I entered I saw an extremely long line. It was super long I couldnt even see the doordash sign, but I did see next to where the employees were, that there was a sign that said "pickup order" so I went there, and waited 10-15 minutes for the order patiently, and nobody bother to ask why I was standing at the pickup location. the entire line is now clear and they would literally each staring at me then continue just trying to wipe something down or make a drink, and I was standing less than 3-4 feet away from the counter. After I took a glipse around and saw line was empty, I seen the girl employee was bagging the order and didnt even bother to ask if I had an order knowing she was the cashier. I understood the guy making drinks because he was doing it alone, and when I saw the guy who had short hair, he was moving EXTREMELY slow ( the one who laughed at me ) compared to the guy with long hair that I seen working above starbucks level. I then saw that there was the sign for pickup doordash, but it was literally a 1ft by 1ft sign, and if theres a line you cant see it. Only the pickup order hanging by register. Thats when I stood there for like 5 minutes until that guy decides to come up towards me and ask, what did I need. And I immedietly told him, why did it take so long for yall to notice that I had been waiting for an order, I can clearly see it there, and yall are not even bothering to even ask why I was waiting over there by the pickup order sign.  Who is yalls manager, because this is crazy, I waited over 25 minutes patiently. thats when he started laughing, and I told him, whats funny? then I told him, yall need put both signs in one spot because someones not gonna see it with a line. and he continued to laugh and said "Its not funny" but continues to laugh unneccessarily. thats when I got upset/disappointed and just took the order and walked out disappointed. -I was very disappointed on hearing this because I heard they had good sweets there but knowing theyre showing or presenting a bad behavior is not okay or respectful to my partner or to anybody at that! It makes me sad to have my first impression be like this. I really do hope this never happens to anybody in the future because this behavior is not acceptable at all. read more

We were so sad when the Fort Worth location closed but still grateful there are still locations around the metroplex. Our favorites include pudding milk bread, choco roll, cream cheese brioche and many more. The store is located in the same shopping area as 99 Ranch and Daiso. It was clean and organized.
