Maqluba with Chicken
Hina I.

Authentic Middle Eastern Comfort Meets Flavor Explosion! We stumbled upon this hidden gem and left completely blown away -- and very full. This spot is bursting with authentic flavor, love, and generous portions that feel like they came straight from someone's home kitchen. Let's talk about the food: Maqluba with Chicken This was the showstopper! A glorious half chicken -- tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned -- resting atop a tower of aromatic rice, baked golden cauliflower, eggplant, and potato slices. Oh, and don't forget the crispy almonds on top -- they added the perfect crunch. It comes with a bright, lemony-vinegary salad that cuts through the richness. Every bite had that nostalgic, comforting Middle Eastern magic. And did I mention the portion? Massive. Bring your appetite or a friend (or two)! Mansaf Mansaf lovers, rejoice! The lamb shank was perfectly cooked -- fall-off-the-bone tender -- and the hot, creamy, mansaf sauce poured over yellow rice and crispy almonds on a paper-thin tortilla was divine. It was rich and hearty, and we kept going back for more spoonfuls of that white sauce. This dish was a beautiful mix of textures and bold flavors -- the almonds added such a fun surprise crunch! Italian Shawarma Plate Think of it as a Middle Eastern-Italian fusion calzone -- cheesy chicken goodness wrapped in warm bread, served with pickles, spicy sauce, and hot fries that had just the right kick. Not your classic shawarma, but definitely a delicious twist. Super fresh and fun. Ayran (Salty Yogurt Drink) Everyone loved the ayran -- cool, tangy, and the perfect match for these rich dishes. ‍ Service? A+ Friendly, fast, and genuinely warm. You can tell they care about their food and their customers. This place is new but deserves ALL the buzz. It's a flavorful journey through Mediterranean comfort food, and we're already planning our next visit. Don't walk -- run to support this spot. Your taste buds will thank you.

We heard about this new restaurant from a friend and she highly recommended it. We were definitely not disappointment. The food was fresh and delicious. We had the beef sujjuk shawarma, Italian chicken shawarma, hamburger, cheese pie and beef and egg pie. All of the food was delicious and the owner made it to each table to say hello!

I decided to try their newest one in Richardson...and so glad I did. As soon as you enter, there is a great vibe...very sleek, neat & clean. Our server, David was very friendly and took good care of us...kept my coffee cup full...which BTW was very tasty... I am a coffee snob. We had the angel cloud pancakes and the Monte Cristo sandwich...both delicious...and the pancake portion was HUGE! This is only about 15 minutes from the house so will definitely be back!

The menu had a lot of variety and the prices were reasonable. Service was good. The inside was extremely loud and it was very difficult to talk. Constantly had to ask friends to repeat themselves. Even later when half full, it was still loud. I got the chicken and waffles. It was good. Chicken cooked well and came with a small bowl of gravy. There was also syrup on the table to use as you wanted. It was good and I licked my plate. Others in my group got the Elvis-yes he was still in the building. Others is got the pancakes and tofu. Everyone liked what they got and ate most of it. Probably would go back at a different time of day but definitely not during the lunch hour. Friend said there other locations are not as noisy.

All that, I HAD to give them a try... The first thing I noticed when I walked in was the ambiance. I loved it! Simply, yet tastefully decorated, with soft/easily listening rock playing. It was easy like Sunday morning, just like it was legitimately was! My eggs were cooked to a perfect over-medium. My breakfast came with 2 sausage patties, and 2 pieces of bacon and 2 pancakes. I was not a fan of the breakfast meats. I did not care for the taste of the sausage patties, nor did I care for the texture of the bacon. It was actually tough. Maybe because I had high expectations going in, but my pancakes were my biggest disappointment. While they were fluffy, the taste was just okay, if not too bland. They were also a little tough around the edges, indicating they were a bit overdone. Honestly, I was shocked that these pancakes were sent to me as some of the best by Yelp, but hey, we all have different tastes, right? While I have given you my disappointments, I need to be sure to list the biggest highlight of our experience, which was our server, Hailey. She was great and did a fantastic job.

Wow this was my first time here and I will definitely be back! We went with a big group on Sunday…read morenoon and the place was really packed, but we got our table pretty quickly though. The server was very nice and attentive! We all got a variety of dishes, but the ones in the pictures are: Chicken Pesto Panini, Concha French Toast, and Salmon Egg Benedict. The Chicken Pesto Panini was really good, I loved the bread since it was soft and moist, but I wished the chicken was a bit thicker/bigger. The Concha French Toast was delicious!! The strawberries, blackberries, and blueberries were so refreshing and sweet; the toast was perfectly made and the coconut condensed milk added a nice sweetness to it. The egg benedict dishes were great as well, I think that was one of everyone's favorites from them. My friends all got different dishes and they loved every single dish! The prices were pretty reasonable as well, averaging around $13-$25 overall for pretty big portions. I'm excited to come back and try other dishes next time :)
