Stopped by Kasra Persian Restaurant for lunch and had a solid overall experience. I went with the koobideh plate, which came with a very generous portion of both rice and meat. The koobideh itself was good, definitely tasty, but more in the "solid" range rather than something that really stands out compared to other spots I've tried. I also had the mast o khiar. Super fresh, really flavorful, and a big portion. I like to eat it with the bread and alongside the koobideh, which might not be traditional but I love it. I also tried the tahdig gheymeh that my friend ordered. First time having it and I'm glad I did. The rice had a nice crunch and the stew was flavorful. Not sure I'd order it normally, but worth trying. The restaurant was pretty quiet during lunch, just one other table, so service was quick and smooth. I left full and satisfied. Wow, the food was phenomenal! From the moment we arrived, Katie welcomed us with the biggest smile. She was incredibly attentive and truly made our experience special. We ordered the hummus, fattoush salad (hands down the best in the city!), and lentil soup and wow, wow, wow. Every dish was fresh and full of flavor. The most juiciest chicken that just melts in your mouth, the beef skewers that just glaze through your fork, I mean this place has truly outshined itself, when all the food is served over the rice the juices of the chicken and beef just soak in the rice and then boom magic happens in your mouth! we have been there now three times and I will say they never never have lost they're touch in the service and they're food! Tried out this place with two friends of mine last night they seemed very unorganized upon arrival. Upon arrival to the restaurant there was no hostess up front to take us to our seats so we chose our own seats. Then there was no waiter to take our order so I had to go up front and ask if someone could be taking our order. After waiting for a few minutes no one showed up so I decided to go order inside. Then after ordering a friend of ours had to leave immediately after we placed the order since we had been waiting so long before that and we asked if her order can be cancelled the restaurant mentioned no as the order was input this cannot be cancelled although the order was placed just 2 min ago. Then we asked for house yogurt drink, Dough, in which they brought a bottled version of it then we mentioned we wanted to house version they poured it in a glass and brought it back. The food on the other hand was very good despite the place being so unorganized. The flavor of the chicken and the kebob dish that we had gotten was very good. I also had to wait a few minutes to get my receipt. Although our waiter was really nice , the food was great, the restaurant was beautiful, the customer service and level of service will need some work. I believe with management providing more training with the site staff in the area of customer service this place can really improve. read more

I can't believe I forgot to post this review. I visited this restaurant about 2 - 2 1/2 weeks ago. The staff were very nice. I was greeted by a young lady upon entering & gentleman helped me after receiving my to go order. Made sure I had cutlery & was just pleasant overall. The restaurant itself is beautiful! AS FOR THE MEAL - I believe I ordered the Tender Beef Kabob. I can taste it right now. The kabob, bismati saffron rice , the flame grilled tomato, the mint...So fresh, the seasoning, the temperature... it just oozed flavor and is a very good size portion. Really great Persian food! I have been here a few times the last few months and never disappointed with the food. I also see that they now have a lunch and dinner buffet Monday to Friday, I am excited to try. I have tried the ground beef kabob and chicken kabob, both amazing! I used to love this restaurant, but sadly, not anymore. The integrity and customer service have completely disappeared. I placed an order through DoorDash for three items and even left a generous tip. The order arrived missing one full meal, and the second item was completely wrong. I ordered Tajig, but they sent plain rice instead because they were out -- without even asking me first. When I called to explain that one dish was missing and another was incorrect, the manager argued with me instead of listening. I told them I spent $76 (plus tip!) for only one and a half items and now had to buy more food elsewhere. The owner promised to send a Venmo refund that never arrived. When I followed up, the manager was incredibly rude. Even the one correct dish was incomplete -- missing the tomato side that usually comes with it. Overall, this was a complete waste of $76 and time, and there was no resolution or accountability. I won't be ordering from here again. read more

There were four of us and we shared hummus, beef & chicken combo and beef shishkabob.... And had leftovers. As someone who was born in Iran, I can proudly say Kasra had the best Iranian food in all of Dallas!! Service was 10/10 the staff was so kind and generous and were checking in often. The only reason I'm giving them 4 stars and not 3 is because of how delicious both our plates were. I've never had slices like that in my meat and it was truly enjoyable with every bite. The sultani kabab and tikka kabob are THE BEST! However, it took 15 min for us to get greeted, even though I see the owners in a corner table just chit chatting while 1 server took care of the whole restaurant. Our food came out 40 min later but it was cold. All in all this place has potential because the food is bomb but the service is ok which surprised me because they are local small business owners. Hosted a post funeral lunch for family and friends here recently. It was nice of them to accommodate us on short notice-obviously goes without saying there is no way to schedule something like this in advance. The issue is that they charged per person for everyone that entered regardless if they ate or not. Culturally, people will stop by for a couple minutes to pay respect to the family. Absolutely charge for those who eat. But when you run up the tab on longtime customers under circumstances like this, it's just bad karma. It would have been easy to track how many people ate based on plates used during the buffet service. I'd say 80% of people ate. But when you know you are charging for someone literally just saying sorry for your loss, I guess your gain is more important. The difference between $4000 and $5000 isn't great but the karma will eventually catch up to you. read more

The food here is amazing! The prices are super reasonable and the koobideh kabobs are super fresh and juicy. My family and I got the koobedih beef kabobs with rice. The rice is true persian saffron rice, not the nasty uncle bens rice, where restaurants serve and call it persian rice. Kasras food is phenomenal and fresh tasting. The service and the waiters are great. I really enjoyed my time here. I would definitely come back. This place is a must. read more

One of the better Persian restaurants around DFW, and reasonably priced too. Their lamb shank sauce needs some work. I've eaten lamb shank around the world. Kasra's is pretty ho-hum & needs a good Persian book to upgrade it. Everything else is great! I wish I knew how to help Kasra get tons of customers into their place during the day for lunch, and to fill up the place in the evenings. They really have a good thing going, and I hope they prosper well in the coming years! We take all our Persian visitors to Kasra, so I highly recommend them. read more

PLEASE BRING BACK THE LUNCH BUFFET!! I had eaten here years ago and it was just okay. I went back a few months ago and saw the inside was remodeled and the lunch buffet was PHENOMENAL. The food was super fresh and tasty. So I started going here regularly since it was the best Persian buffet in DFW and just a few weeks ago when we walked in, we were informed that they no longer offer a lunch buffet. I love persian food but this one is overpriced and the meat is not very fresh. Kababs are very dry. Service was ok, but could be more attentive. We went on a saturday afternoon and there was nobody.
