Tom Fleming has opened a great location in Plano Tx. This relocation has everything to offer. His signature dishes fill the menu with choices for whatever you're craving. My choice was breakfast today The over easy eggs paired with crispy bacon and hash browns were delicious. Adding the biscuits and pepper gravy enhanced the meal. Had a really amazing trip here today for Fathers' day! Used the Google/online reservation system about 30 minutes before we intended to meet up, and huge surprise to me a table opened 10 minutes earlier. Raced through traffic to "check in" hostess was unfazed by my tardiness and instantly sat me down. Clean bright, spacious interior. Felt like a great hall/room in the inside. Incredibly accommodating customer service overall, my parents were late as hell for whatever reason and the waiter was sooo patient with us. Checked on us repeatedly, very attentive and wasn't annoyed in the slightest that they closed in 40 minutes. Food tasted fresh and "home made". Slightest thing was they made everything with low salt, likely so that diners can add to the levels that they desire, not an issue but the saltiness is what draws me to brunch food! Portions are ginormous! Almost wish they had some smaller protein plates, like 2 eggs and biscuit or toast or something for people with smaller appetites. Again these are non issues. Hardly something to complain about at all. They serve Illy coffee so the drip is soliddd. Loved it and WILL be back. read more

The good: The top half of the hash browns. The bad: The rest of the meal. I could not eat the eggs as the bottom of them, I could not get my fork through. The bacon was near burnt. The bottom of the hash browns were not cooked. I took my biscuit and my wife's sausage gravy and after it was in my mouth I had to run to the bathroom to dispose of it. There was a bitter taste to it that had me gagging. Nice inside, service was good, but as I write this, I'm still sick and my stomach is not happy. $50 dollars for two meals, not again. read more

I'd give this a solid 4 stars. The ambiance is cool (the trees against the massive windows give a nice, cabin-feel touch). We came in on a rainy weekday so I felt it was a bit too dark for my liking. For starters, the pecan pancakes are delishhhhh. I'd go back simply for those! I'm glad my husband ordered those so I could have a few bites. I had the blueberry short stack and they were fine. My main was the bacon and white cheddar frittata. There weren't many options with veggies on the menu so I decided to add spinach to my frittata. I think the spinach threw it off which was my bad. The cheddar is Wisconsin made so that was great! Why not five stars? This place is a bit pricey. Overpriced for small beverage options. My cappuccino was tiny, and so was my husband's "large" orange juice. Both were two-three times smaller than what we're used to but was priced as average sizes. Hopefully they update this. Came here on a Sunday morning and the wait was about 15 minutes for a party of 7! Heads up, they do not do carry out/to go. Our waiter, Jhanathon, was very helpful and informative! We loved the original location and were sad to see it be a Covid casualty. When it opened near our home, we were excited to go back! The sticky bun was as delicious as I remembered it being years ago. Good portion sizes and tasty food! The ambience is nice and very clean. Our server was also very attentive and helpful. It's a bit overpriced in my opinion ($60+ including tips for 2 adult meals, a sticky bun, and some a la carte items for our child), but the quality is there...not to mention that they're a local place that's rebuilding from a prior closure and located in a very nice restaurant complex. We won't be regulars, but will definitely consider it when we want a nice weekend breakfast! read more

First of all... YUM!!!! Second of all the service and atmosphere was exceptional! Our bartender/server Megan was attentive and helpful. Tom, the owner/chef made his way around to us after chatting with other patrons and was super friendly and had a great sense of humor!! We came for the Sticky bun but unfortunately they sold out but we got to try the muffins which were amazing! Service was bad. Called ahead and no one answered. Online waitlist was not working. Showed up anyways and they said 20 minutes. Waited 30 and they gave no update. We saw THREE other couples (same party size) show up after us and seated before us. I kindly asked the host one more time if there was any ETA or update she could share and she said "a few more in front of you". I noticed she had 4 or 5 sticky notes in front of her with scribbling all over. As a project manager, I'm confident there's no way she was accurately keeping track of parties and was likely doing her best but ultimately a system like this doesn't respect the time of guests. Will not be retuning and would recommend others who are told to wait to consider walking across to taco joint or getting coffee next door at pax & beneficia. read more

The service staff was very attentive and friendly. They were the bright spot of my experience. Now let's talk about the food... I ordered the Fried Chicken and Brie Sandwich with French Fries. The chicken was tender. But the food was WAY to salty. Like I was hungry, but the salt content was so high I ate less than half kind of salty. Normally I would bring my leftovers to my dogs, but out of concern for their sodium intake I left the rest of my food on the table. To add some balance, the person I came here with ordered the Wagyu Burger and loved it. Excited to see Crossroads back open. We ordered the quiche with tomato soup. Both were very good. However we felt the portions were very small. Ordered the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. The meatloaf was pretty dry. The potatoes and vegetables were both very flavorful. The waitlist system is deceiving. You can add your name to an online waitlist which gives a waittime of 5 minutes. But once you arrive there is a paper waitlist that is not accounted for online. If they have an electronic waitlist system they should use the system consistently. Otherwise take the waitlist option off the website because it is deceptive. read more

Been to all of their locations. I love this location the best. It's just the right size. Food is always amazing here. Try their sticky buns. Everything is made fresh unlike most of the breakfast and brunch places in town. Real gravy here not that packet stuff. Service is always great. It was our second time trying the new location. We'd been to the original prior and always had a good experience. Those days are gone. We know everyone can have a bad day but two in a row is a problem. We were promptly seated at a two top (between a booth and six top). We had occupied tables on either side. We sat for 15 minutes and the six top was cleared and cleaned so we were not invisible . I watched staff repeatedly look at us with our menus on the table with no water, let alone drinks. Pretty clear no one had been to the table. A group of five was seated at the recently cleared table and no sooner than they were seated a waiter was there to wait on them. We got up to leave and the waitress who'd passed our table no less than five times asked if we'd been helped. It is painfully apparent that we had not been spoken to since sitting down. I explained the situation and she did apologize but it was too little too late. She didn't offer to have a manager speak with us(is there a manager?) We thought the first time was a fluke but the second time is a pattern. I would recommend a front of the house manager to monitor the dining area. The prior location had a packed house and there was always a line. I realize times are different but the issue is not the food it is how the staff and areas are managed. read more

They have a full bar along with some specialty drinks like their bellini bourbon punch which is my all-time favorite! We keep coming back for breakfast and lunch! For years, I used to take friends and clients to Crossroads Diner when they were at Campbell and Preston. We were never disappointed. The food and selections for breakfast and brunch were always exceptional. COVID killed the best independent restaurant in the Metroplex. I was sadden. Businesses come and go, but I have always had a fondness for independent entrepreneurs and restaurateurs. Whether it was Cafe Cartier, Cafe de France, and the list could go on and on. These private owners put everything on the line, from their life savings to their personal reputations. They do it for the love of their industry, and we all benefit. I don't know the owner of Crossroads and only talked to him once in all the years that I have eaten at Crossroads, But, I love comebacks, people who never give up. Crossroads Diner is Back! The food is still exceptional, albeit with a few growing pains, though none that would keep me away. The new location may not be the best; it is not on a main thoroughfare. Location be damned. It is still the best independent breakfast or brunch restaurant in the Metroplex. If you are just looking for flash-fried eggs, warmed-up frozen hash browns, pancakes drenched in high-fructose corn syrup, then go to a franchised Denny's, Egg R Us, etc., etc.. Why are you even on Yelp?
