    Almond half moon

First time here in Richardson China town 85 deg Bakery! Came here for Fresh strawberry milk tea. Got some pastries to go. Strawberry milk tea was great as usual not so sweet not so icy just a perfect blend. Liked the strawberry cake we ordered but the almond half moon cake was mid. Will come back again just for the strawberry milk tea

Love this chain! This specific location is fantastic, clean, and pristine. They were lacking in some of the baked goods, but they were slowly replenishing while I was there. My favorite thing was the hokkaido custard bun- the filing in the middle was creamy, light, and just sweet enough! The bread itself was so soft and chewy!! I also had some of the mango cake, which was good, and the classic egg tarts, which were fantastic! Especially like the mochi egg tarts, which were more chewy than the regular ones. I also got a matcha strawberry latte, which was decent. The employees were nice and friendly. Service is fast and efficient too. The line was not long, and there was tables to sit down.

When I am around Dallas area, I stop here because they have the best milk/boba tea. Very busy and happening place. They stay busy but quick service. Fresh pastries and bakery item to try. Bread is a must buy because it is fresh and tasty. Got taro milk tea with boba and it was amazing.

Another stellar store from 85'C. The bakery selection is excellent as usual. And it's also very affordable. The customer service was great, and patient with me. The place was spacious and clean.

Unfortunately this 85 keeps dropping the ball... Their sea salt caramel coffee used to be my drink of choice. Since new staff keeps being brought in, the drinks are not always up to par. This continues to happen, we now have to ask certain employees to make our drinks. If not, we have to either bring the order back, or just throw it away! Drinks are now more than $6 each, so we don't appreciate throwing them out! Thankfully I now have a new coffee shop that makes my new favorite coffee. But my wife is still likes 85... if it's made correctly of course.

Great bakery with lots and lots of choices. Excited to try so many of the baked goods, with sweet and savory options. So cool to see they also have large cakes for special occasions, and they are super nice. There's some tables to sit down too. The line was not long when I went, and I also ordered a Vietnamese iced coffee. It was sweet and yummy, and paired greatly with the mango cream cake that I bought!

I like coming here for the Egg tarts , they are always good. The crust is buttery and flaky. Today my sister and I tried the strawberry custard cake. It was soft and spongy with just the right amount of sweetness. The service is one woman working the register with someone in the back fixing or cleaning something. The ambiance is a bakery where you get a tray, choose your baked goods and wait in line to be served.

85C is everywhere, the quality of this location is on par with the others. The service is good and seating is comfortable.

Amazing bakery items- we keep going back for more to try out more! I enjoy their iced vanilla latte as well, it's not too sweet and made well! This place is constantly busy and for good reason. We missed out on the delicious basque cheesecake last weekend bc we got there too late in the day I'm guessing. Yum!

Hubbers wanted to grab something to drink during this how sweltering Texas heat. He decided of all the places in this complex he could have tried, he wanted to get something more familiar. Very familiar indeed. It's smaller than most 85degC bakeries I've been to. With the farmers market going on, it got busy - so busy that staff had trouble with the upkeep. There were a few tables kept unclean for the duration we were there, there were also bits and pieces of mess on the floor. Granted we were only there less then 10 minutes, some patrons might have better appreciated sitting at a freshly cleaned/wiped table. I guess I was way too focused on the mess that I opted against getting a drink. Hubbers enjoyed his, though, so at least there's that! Maybe they just got overwhelmed or understaffed. Here's hoping this was a rare occasion...

We visit this bakery every time we're in the area, and we honestly have enjoyed everything we've tried. One of the great things about these sweets is that they're not overly sweet. Today, we arrived when they opened at 8am, so the shelves weren't completely full yet. But, we were able to get some favorites including some choco buns, whole wheat mushroom, and almond cream half moon. The choco bun is a soft chocolate bread with a chocolate bar-like center (melted chocolate chips). Yum! The whole wheat mushroom was a firmer bread with parsley, lots of mushrooms, and cheese. The half moon has milk bread-type dough filled with sweet cream and rolled in slivered almonds. The bakery-cafe is modern and sleek. Shelves are well lit, and most of the pastries are self-serve since they're individually wrapped. Once you've made your selections, you pay at the counter and can add on beverages. Staff at this location have always been friendly and helpful in answering any questions. Definitely recommend.

Review of: Vietnamese Coffee (strong and delicious!) Jumbo Guava Cheese Strudel (sweet strudel with warm guava inside!!) Oh man! What a treat this morning!! Totally rushed out the door having to bypass coffee & breakfast , and barely remembered my clothes! The hangry daemon was taking over !! Then came a sassy angel (aka coworker) from this Taiwanese bakery shop in all her glory saving everyone from my hangriouness!!! I absolutely loved the coffee & strudel. Satisfied my need to feed! It was the perfect blend of just enough sweetness and coffee strength that got my little engine choo chooing again! Saw they have an app where I can collect points! I will be back!!!! May have found my new coffee addiction!

I ate the cake already! Sorry. However, this is the wrapper that their Pineapple Cake came in...so good!!!

If I lived in Dallas i would be here every weekend with my laptop. The cashiers are always super kind and friendly, always greeting you with a smile. I haven't tried any of their baked goods because I am religiously a matcha girly through and through. The matchas I've gotten here have been pretty good for the most part but the quality does vary slightly depending on who is making them. The vanilla matcha had no sweetness to it whatsoever which was very odd. Same goes for the fig matcha, the syrup was just not cutting it in flavor and the whole drink felt very milk heavy. I always ask for an extra shot of matcha and they just two times my drink just wasn't made strong enough. However, this past weekend I finally got my wish with the strawberry matcha which was made very very well and I was blessed with the extra matcha just as I like it. I think they should definitely work on standardizing drink consistency and quality to keep repeat patrons happy. Other than that I find this to be a wonderful gathering spot where my cousin and I love to come hang out and enjoy being around community and people of all walks of life.

The earthy matcha itself unsuccessfully tried to balance the sweetness of the flavorings. That's our fault though since we forgot to order our lattes less sweet. Located among the shops and bars of historic downtown sits 1418 Coffee, a cute and genuinely great little shop that fits the area perfectly. Inside, the shop is fairly narrow but offers a good amount of both indoor and outdoor seating. I arrived with a friend a little before 11 am on a Sunday, and it was absolutely packed. A biking group was posted up outside, students were inside working on homework, even though most colleges have not started yet, and plenty of other patrons were taking their Sunday mornings easy. Despite having at least 10 to 15 people in front of us, the line moved pretty quickly. My friend who was more of a regular at the shop knew a lot of the staff and had convos with them. It feels like a little community! I ordered the Maple Sausage Croissant sourced from Sugar Loaf Bakery along with a hot Purple Haze latte made with lavender and vanilla syrup. My drink came out fairly quickly, and I thought it was great. It was well balanced and not overly sweet. As for the Maple Sausage Croissant, it was exactly what it sounded like, a maple sausage tucked into a croissant. I initially expected the croissant itself to be maple flavored, similar to a McGriddle, but it was still fresh and enjoyable. They had been keeping them warm in a heater throughout the morning, which definitely helped. I have stopped by 1418 Coffee a few times when visiting Dallas, and I plan to keep returning. They consistently do a great job and fit right into the charm of downtown Plano. RIYL: A warm haven in a beautiful downtown.
