I've started frequenting this spot quite often lately to satisfy my matcha fix. Their earl grey matcha has definitely been become my obsession. It has that vibrant color, smooth texture, and just the right amount of sweetness. I plan on trying more drinks here in the future but as of now, I can't steer away from this one (hehe). The staff is also worth mentioning, the girls I've encountered working the register have had such a pleasant, friendly energy. Inside it's cozy with lots of seating areas which is great because it does get busy in there. Parking spaces are available directly outside or there is street parking around - I've not had a problem finding a decent spot. When I'm in the area, I love stopping by 7th Day, so I was really disappointed today. I ordered a large iced matcha with vanilla, and when I received my drink, I immediately noticed that the cup was significantly smaller than it has been in the past. I asked the barista if it was a large, and I was told that they only carry one size now. However, the menu at the counter still shows TWO different prices, which is confusing if there is only ONE size available. How can there be two prices for a single size? I also want to point out that the cup genuinely appears smaller than what they previously had. This isn't simply a matter of the cup being "wider" the overall amount of product seems noticeably smaller. To make matters worse, my matcha was grainy and had no vanilla flavor. Paying $8 for a noticeably smaller drink that wasn't prepared well left me feeling cheated. I understand that prices and portions can change, but the combination of a smaller drink, charging me for a large, and poor quality was really disappointing. Today I tried one of their seasonal einspanner lattes with oat-milk and I'm happy I did. The cold foam had a nuttiness that was actually delicious and reminded me of pistachio even though it wasn't.
