Just when I thought I knew all the cozy coffee shops in the area, I stumbled upon La Souq. This place has a soft ambiance and bright, and very work-inducive, meaning, you get stuff done when you're here! Lots of folks studying or working on their laptops. The staff is super accommodating. I was able to try a refresher and I ended up getting it because it was sooooo delicious. The server said it was like a dessert and he was right! If you aren't desperate for a caffeine fix, definitely get a Qamar al-din... it is so delightful, sweet, fruity, and truly refreshing! If I hadn't just come from lunch, I would have gotten something from the pastry case. For sure, I will have to come back and grab something next time. I think I just found my new favorite tea/coffee shop! read more

It was our first time here and the place was very very nice. We didn't know what to get and the lady worker was very nice to recommend us their signature drinks and answered our questions. The interior was very spacious with a lot of seatings and bright lights. We decided to go with the Habibti Latte and Rose Pistachio Matcha. The Habibti latte came with rose and cardamom, and it was really good, very light rose flavor. The pistachio matcha was good too but I wish there was more pistachio flavor, since the rose flavor was more dominant. The default matcha latte comes with 3g of matcha, but you could pay $1+ more to get 6g of matcha as well. I would highly recommend :) read more

Very good coffee, service, and ambiance. Great unique flavors and strong coffee. I would recommend this place. Nice Turkish and middle eastern flavors. The cardimom pairs very well with the coffee. I got the Habibti. Mustafa was training a new worker and provided great service and info on the coffee. read more

La Souq is a lively, Mediterranean coffee shop with a welcoming ambiance, beautiful pottery, and muted hues. It can get busy, so finding a seat may be challenging, but the energetic atmosphere is part of its charm. The lavender latte is especially delicious, with several other creative flavors to explore. Overall, it's a fun spot for coffee!!! read more

I had an hour to kill in DFW, so I did what any good New Yorker would do - ride public transit (DART) to the nearest Qahwah outlet (La Souq). The name suggests a posh French-influenced Beiruti vibe, which sounded perfect. The space is beautiful. I was about to have dinner and so didn't sample the food, but settled on a glass of karak chai. Normally I wouldn't trust an Arabic outlet with what is a desi specialty, but they made a very tasty preparation with a pleasantly aromatic, if untraditional, dose of zafran. read more

I absolutely loved my experience at La Souq! From the moment I walked in, I was blown away with the mediterranean decor. It was warm, inviting and beautifully detailed. La Souq gives a cozy and cultural vibe that makes you wanna stay a while. I ordered the Habibti latte, iced an added caramel, and it was so good. I loved how the latte was perfectly balanced, fragrant, and very delicious. This is easily one of the best specialty lattes I've had in a long time. My entire experience was amazing and I can't wait to visit again. If you are in the area, the spot is definitely a must visit. read more

I came for their BOGO they have that is M-F 7-9 am until January 2rd 2026 I believe (check their instagram page though. I got the pista affogato which was solid. Nice strong coffee and the pistachio ice cream had lots of pistachio chunks. The forgot to apply the BOGO but gave us cash afterwards which was so kind of them. Good place to study and outlets on the booths. I stayed here for a long time and didn't feel pressured to leave at all. read more

Stopped by La Souq Coffee with two others and shared an almond croissant. Two of us ordered the Fig & Cinnamon Latte, and one got the Habibti Latte (rose + cardamom). All the drinks were really good, but the Habibti Latte was my favorite. Great presentation (the latte art is lovely) and friendly service. Though I went another time and service was good but not as friendly as it was this time. Definitely a spot I'd come back to. read more

I've ran by this shop so many times and decided to actually stop inside. It's SO BEAUTIFUL in here. There's plenty of seating around and the decor is nicely done. I got the iced lavender honey latte and added a pump of sugar free vanilla. The honey kinda gooped at the bottom, but the flavors were good. read more

My cousin and I love hunting down high quality cafes in Dallas, and La Souq had recently caught her eye. The wave of Muslim owned coffee shops are definitely taking the country by a storm and we are absolutely here for supporting our local coffee roasters and business owners as well giving wings to much needed social third spaces. La Souq is located in the heart of Richardson right on Main Street. With ample parking and lots of seating both indoors and outdoors, this establishment really sets itself apart as a perfect place to unwind and have a little pick me up. I especially love the neutral earthy tones of the interior, blending timelessly and giving an elegant and airy, open vibe to the entire space. If I lived in Dallas i would be here every weekend with my laptop. The cashiers are always super kind and friendly, always greeting you with a smile. I haven't tried any of their baked goods because I am religiously a matcha girly through and through. The matchas I've gotten here have been pretty good for the most part but the quality does vary slightly depending on who is making them. The vanilla matcha had no sweetness to it whatsoever which was very odd. Same goes for the fig matcha, the syrup was just not cutting it in flavor and the whole drink felt very milk heavy. I always ask for an extra shot of matcha and they just two times my drink just wasn't made strong enough. However, this past weekend I finally got my wish with the strawberry matcha which was made very very well and I was blessed with the extra matcha just as I like it. I think they should definitely work on standardizing drink consistency and quality to keep repeat patrons happy. Other than that I find this to be a wonderful gathering spot where my cousin and I love to come hang out and enjoy being around community and people of all walks of life. read more

I was there for a pop shop experience. While I was shopping around I ordered a berry blossom. This drink is somewhat of an elevated Arnold Palmer. It uses hibiscus tea and zaher lemonade. It balances each other very well. The tea does not have that overt earthy taste and it was sweetened very well. I later on had the habibiti latte with oat milk. Throughout the ordering process the woman who took my order was well versed in the menu and made some insightful recommendations based of what I like. I forgot to match her name but kudos to her. I ended the night with an Oreo tiramisu that was deliciousss. I recommended everything I ordered if they still have it when you go. The physical cafe is beautifully decorated and laid out, there is a lot of various sitting space. When I was deciding where to sit, I scanned the room and noticed the staff just cleaning and picking up on tables. The bathrooms are cleaning. The music taste of the cafe isn't boring. I would also like to mention that the employees are very accommodating. I bought small chops from one of the pop up vendors and the La Souq staffed offered to give me a to go box when they truly didn't have too. They constantly came around and made sure me and my friends were well taken care of. Their hospitality is unmatched and the prices are reasonable. read more

Thoughtful, Flavorful Experience at La Souq (Richardson, TX) La Souq is the kind of place that immediately wraps you in warmth--minimalist but full of soul. We visited for their Mother's Day Experience, a beautiful collaboration with HULM, and it was as charming as it was delicious. The signature drinks were creative and well-crafted--I had the Habibat Albi iced latte, and the subtle rose, cardamom, and pistachio blend was heavenly. The Hanin Lavender latte (hot) was equally soothing. If you're into unique, floral-forward drinks, this is your spot. Food-wise, everything was thoughtfully plated and full of bright Mediterranean flavors. The za'atar and feta toast with honey drizzle was a standout, and the second tartine--topped with citrus, arugula, and walnuts--was made vegan just for us, which we appreciated. Fresh, earthy, and perfectly balanced. Don't skip the pistachio chocolate triangle--a rich, dense bite that felt like a sophisticated upgrade to your childhood fudge. The vibes were just right for a celebration--sunlight pouring in, soft music, and service that was warm and attentive without ever being overbearing. Bonus: the floral arrangement takeaway was a sweet, elevated touch. Why 4 stars and not 5? An expansion of the food menu to include vegan options Would absolutely return--La Souq is a special kind of calm-meets-curated, and I love that it's quietly redefining daytime luxury dining in Richardson. read more

The door to get in slams every time someone goes in and out. Its so loud, it disturbs pleasant conversation. I remember cringing trying to have a normal convo and in the background I hear slam after slam, after slam of the door, as the wind pushes it shut. Parking is a little bit limited. You might have park a bit far if all the up close spots are taken. Other than that, the coffee is ok. read more

Another favorite cafe in the DFW area. I've been here 3-4x since it opened. Every single drink i've had has been delicious and I'm especially enjoyed the creative seasonal lattes. My favorite, hands down, has to be the zaatar latte. Probably the most unique flavor combination I've tried. The orange cardamom bun was also so good, I tried to recreate it at home. Anything that makes me want to go home and bake is a triumph in and of itself. The space is gorgeous. Lots of seating and big windows so plenty of natural light. Big enough space to hangout with friends or get some work done. Service is appropriately quick with lots of attention paid to presentation. read more

This is such a gorgeous coffee shop with so much bright and natural lighting! The seating is so comfortable. My friend and I enjoyed a lovely study date here, and there was tons of parking so you don't have to be stressed about that. I ordered a fig cheesecake for us to share and a fig and cinnamon latte. I loved the latte. It came beautifully plated, and the coffee was light and well balanced. I couldn't taste the fig as much, but the cinnamon was such a nice light touch. I loved the cheesecake. It was a perfect size for the both of us to share, and the fig jam was marvelous. Such a beautiful interior makes you want to study/work hard! La Souq's got a trendy vibe going for it. It's got a sexy interior with lots of seating inside. The day i came here they were having a pop up mart in collaboration with a few small, homegrown businesses. Good on them for having events like that . Service wise not much to say. Staff was polite. We asked about a few menu items and they gave us recommendations. So on to the food. They have some unique lattes here. All with Middle Eastern flair of course along with the requsite variety of chais so there is a lot to try. They also have different kind of pastries of which we tried a couple featuring pistachio in different ways. I tried a cappuccino which was solid and had a taste of my wife's drink which was interesting but not to my liking flavorwise. She liked it though. Generally everthing was good an about how you'd expect. They are on the pricey side, on a comparitive basis so that's my only knock. That said you couldn't do qeong if you chose to spend an hour or so here for a drink and some snacks. read more

Ambiance - beautiful and aesthetic! Service - nothing outstanding but good and the staff seemed pleasant and helpful Price - there is a very saturated market of middle eastern coffee shops in Richardson/Plano and this is the most expensive for the area. I really enjoyed my cinnamon and fig latte but it was $7.50 for a 12oz size. I thought it was good but for that price it won't become my go to. I also got the saffron eclair which was $15! It definitely was not worth the $15 to me - more around $7/8 for a fancy pastry. My total for coffee and eclair was $23.20. I tried it and enjoyed it! However, due to the higher prices I won't be a regular. read more

Ah, another coffee shop in Richardson. But hey, if anyone's going to cut through the endless parade of ethnic-inspired boutique coffee shops, it's going to be this one right? Let's talk details. The space? Gorgeous. The modern, sleek aesthetic is complimented by a flood of natural light that makes you feel like you're drinking your overpriced cappuccino inside a Pinterest board. It's centrally located, with an attached parking garage and ample space to spread out and either talk, work, or disassociate. This is a big win over similar spaces right down Main. But, La Souq is missing the mark in three key areas: pricing, inventory, and staff. I went opening weekend so depleted inventory is somewhat expected but, it seemed like they never had most of the pastries or light bites in inventory which is fine but, don't advertise them and/or give recommendations for alternatives on the menu. Which leads me to my biggest qualm, the main clerk. Again, I went opening weekend but, the poor gal at the register looked completely overwhelmed. She seemed confused and even intimidated by the crowds, noise, and menu. Failed to give relevant recommendations about the menu and was whispering. The price tag definitely feels a little steep ($8+ for a small) for what you get, especially in an already crowded market. But you know what? I'm holding out hope. With a little more polish on the staff and some inventory adjustments, this place could really take off, especially come Ramadan! read more

The interiors are gorgeous! My husband and I were discussing the detailing in the earthy, Mediterranean vibe of the place with lime washed walls, overhead lighting, gorgeous terracotta vintage pots and beautiful tiles. The music was soothing and not overpowering. Our barista took their time patiently explaining the menu which we really appreciated. The coffee menu is well curated to the theme of the middle eastern cafe. We tried the habibti latte which has rose and cardamom and the honey lavender latte. Both of the drinks were excellent! We loved the flavors. We tried the saffron cake, chocolate cake and last but not least, the strawberry matcha cookie which was to die for! The place looks very nice and the location is not bad. A good amount of seating with a few outlets but the tables are small so be careful of that. The girl taking my order seemed very uninterested and almost annoyed that I was ordering something but I could have just caught her at a bad time or day because later she was a bit more helpful. I got the matcha latte with vanilla and it was not good honestly, the drink tasted like straight milk, however when I expressed this to the worker they offered me a new drink which was nice and even asked me why I did not like the matcha latte so that they can improve the recipe.
