The drinks were alright, but I think the pastries are probably what really make this place special. The staff was friendly, and overall it was still a pleasant visit. We went for the heavy brunch for 4 people ($70) and while the menu photo looks like a well organized spread, the reality is far less aesthetic. You do get a variety of items, olives, cucumbers, tomatoes, salami, feta, and so on so there are a lot of plates on small surfaces and that's before the tea arrives. Two standout issues: Tea arrived 20 minutes after the food. When you're eating a brunch built around shared plates and warm drinks, that timing really throws off the rhythm of the meal. The sheer number of dishes that come with the brunch service is tough to accommodate.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There are two large tables that can support this meal better but if the table is occupied prepared to be cramped, we've tried both of the other tables, a settee which was very uncomfortable and then opted for the circular tables but they were not level and had their own issues.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The third could just be a bad day, but the person delivering food splashed olive juice all over the table and chairs and made no effort to clean it up until we asked. The olives will certainly be less messy in a bowl, but also it's courtesy if you make a spill you wipe it off for the customer. We ordered pizzas and fries for the kids, hoping for some reliable crowd-pleasers. Sadly, both were a miss on flavor and again took about 45 -60 minutes to arrive. We didn't try any of the sweet offerings ourselves, but we noticed plenty of other tables ordering desserts and coffees -- they clearly seemed popular. I hesitate to return with Kids given the long wait times. But this is a cute place for a dessert and a coffee/tea while enjoying some of the shopping in the same plaza. Visited on a weekday and enjoyed my drink, along with their falafel platter, which included pita, falafel, and different vegetables. I had wanted to try the batool, but unfortunately, this is no longer offered. The lady at the counter was helpful with figuring out another vegetarian dish to order. Went here for brunch with visiting family and we had a great time. The wait staff was very friendly and clearly explained the menu and what went together. This business has officially opened! First thing first! You enter, and you'll feel as if youve entered a set in Disney! It's so cute! They have the cutest Aladdin cup sets for tea, and a magic lamp in every table! They also have a station near the counter where you can pick a country mug for your drink! How cool!? Saw this place on IG and had to bring my daughters here to check it out. As a coffee lover I really enjoyed coffee on sand; I chose the Turkish. Presentation; all that was perfect. My kids both had the Aladdin Oreo Milkshake and my mom had the Mango Melody. They all enjoyed their drinks. For food we got the hummus, genie breakfast for 1, pan fried egg with meat, and the kids meal. The kids meal was the cutest and came with so much food; definitely worth the money. The hummus was delicious; the genie breakfast was pretty tasty and the pan fried egg was good. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the bread served with the hummus; it just tasted like the dry bread you find at the store. Was really wishing it was made in house. Oh and we did get the Dubai cheesecake; it's a must it's soooo delicious. The ladies working there were so sweet; it did take a minute for everything to come out; so don't be in a hurry if you go. Cutest little Aladdin coffee shop. We really didn't know what to do once you walk in but you can go to table review menu and then go walk up and order at cashier they will then bring it to you. We got there right when they opened at 10am, and we got a table easily, but very quickly the line grew out the door and I felt that it was too many people, not enough staff, the staff that was there.. didn't speak very well English and werent able to tell us what came with our meals. We ordered the Jasmine Brunch for 4 people- but they weren't able to tell us what made it different then the Aladdin Brunch- they both served 4 but one was $35 and one was $50.. we went ahead and get with the Jasmine (photoed below). It's basically a grazing board with cheeses, bread, olives, jams, oils. But they just weren't that great- the jams and breads were good but that was about it... it was just too much hype. The hot coffee on sand was a great experience, the only one we didn't like was the Iraki coffee it tasted like mud. The Hazelnut was good, and the hot desert tea was delicious! We always love Turkish food. We've been on a quest to find coffee on sand and finally found this place with beautiful decor of Aladdin theme. Everything is so cute about this cafe. Tried this place for the first time with friends. I personally had the falafel wrap and fries, which were good. Also, the Turkish coffee (Dellah), which came with a small Turkish delight. You are supposed to sip then bite the delight, which pleasantly alters the taste of the coffee. The coffee was good and exceeded my expectations, I was worried it would be bitter. The only disappointment was that the lunch menu items are not available until after 3ish per our server, but the menu says after 11:30am. Not the best customer service, staff is polite, but they don't really come to check on you. We had to call someone to order. You pay at the front. Water is self serve. Place is clean. Lots of parking available nearby. I would recommend this place and would go back. Glad to have this unique gem in Richardson.
