We've been to our fair share of restaurants that serve this cuisine. Hands down, one of the rare ones where all the meats are cooked to perfection. Everything was seasoned well, juicy, and flavorful. A lot of places get the red meats right but the chicken is always dry and not good. That is not the case here. We thoroughly enjoyed nearly everything we ordered. I love me a good dip sampler and theirs is delicious. The lavash bread is warm and soft, and the perfect accompaniment. Their lahmacun was good and while I'm not usually a fan of any lahmacun, my brother how is loved it. We did the family style kabob platter and food was more than enough. I usually love dolma but I was not a huge fan of it here, and the salad was pretty basic. Special shout out for their onion salad and pickled cabbage - we might be on of the few parties that absolutely devoured those two side dishes. Still, an amazing dining experience. The service is amazing! They're very attentive, food came out quickly. The decore is so gorgeous! You want to talk out with one of their beautiful lamps!

I came here for the first time with my friend and I must say this is one of the cleanest restaurants with such delicious food and I had a hookah that lasted me for 2 to almost 3 hrs without burning. The vibe is very cozy and the service is a 10/10 our server Carly was the sweetest and very fast! I recommend everyone to try this place!

We are once again back to our fave Mediterranean restaurant for more sumptuous dishes. They never disappoint! The food and the service were beyond incredible. Our server Carly is the best! We had Dubai chocolate cake and turkish coffee for dessert. The place is gorgeous, well lit and very homey. The rest of the staff are very accomodating and always ready to please our whims!

    Beautiful Turkish lamps above us.

Very good and fresh on everything we ordered from the hot gooey cheese flat bread, crispy outside and soft inside falafel to the beef shish with super tasty rice and salad. Hands down my new favorite Turkish restaurant. Our waiter was professional and friendly. He gave recommendations to us as we said it was our first time here. Well worth visiting ya'll! Turkish heavenly food in Richardson.

This is a newer Turkish restaurant located in the North Dallas/Richardson area. The decor is lovely! We really appreciated the gorgeous ambiance and chandeliers. We recently enjoyed a family dinner here celebrating my dad's birthday on a Monday night. While the service was a bit on the slower end, the staff were still very kind. We had to ask for water refills and silverware a few times. The food was pretty good! We ordered hummus, feta, and olives for appetizers, and the meat platter to share for entrees. I think the pricing was a bit on the higher side than other Mediterranean spots I'm used to. The hummus was delicious but I would choose a different entree item the next time. Probably a chicken skewer. They have hookah sections all along the patio so I would be prepared for that if you have little ones joining you for dinner. Indoors was fine.

I had lunch with a Friend here during a weekday and it was pretty empty and quiet but I had the combo and the food did not disappoint. I was surprised that not many people were there for lunch. They have plenty of menu options and patio seating. I recommend getting the pistachio baklava for dessert! They also have plenty of parking on-site!

I was visiting Richardson in Texas to spend some time with my colleague and his family and since he is from Middle East, I urged him to take me to the best middle eastern or Lebanese place in Richardson. He took me to this American sounding name and I was a little concerned, but as soon as I saw the food, all my concerns evaporated. The food is made fresh, fresh, fresh, did I say fresh and it is so yummy. We had the fresh Afghan bread, with hummus and man it was so delicious and creamy. I almost lapped it up. We had the chicken kebab followed by the beef kebab and the Eggplant bartha with some basmati rice along with some salad and we polished it off. This is an amazing place where it takes a while for the food to come in. But boy is the food the best. Best Middle Eastern Lebanese food to eat in Richardson, Texas, by far without any doubt.

Finally I was able to come to this place, I have heard so many great things about, so glad I did! We went on a Sat, a little after 1 pm, it wasn't that crowded, we are in January and we sat indoors it was so cold that day, looking at the patio from the windows, it would definatly be great when it's warmer! The place is clean and elegant Loved all the Turkish lamps The bathroom was very clean, the toilets even had heated seats and bidet in there! We ordered the breakfast for 2 We got a full table, 2 any style egg you want each, came with a puffed fresh pitta bread, a pot of Turkish tea, Jam, date molasses, even a Natella spread, the cheese eggrolls, the butter in honey, white cheese, the grilled tomatos, the olives, it was perfect! We wanted to try something else not because we weren't full, but just to try the meats, so we ordered the Adana Kebab, it came one skewer with rice, we added the pears and pomegranate salad instead of the rice. The meat was perfectly seasoned with parsley and onion, a mix ratio of lamb and beef - very yummy! The salad was amazing, I would have liked it a bit chopped to smaller cuts, but very yummy and definatly and amazing dressing! I want to try the entire menu, they even have apple tea which I love, so I will definatly be back! The only down side there is no alcohol! The service was absolutely amazing by the way Sabah our host was wonderful - Thank you!

Afrah is THE place to be for Mediterranean food - before Greenville Ave became Arab central, before there was anyone, there was Afrah. A beautiful, airy restaurant with gorgeous seating, a bustling dessert case, ice cream center and so many treats to offer under one roof. Afrah is to the Muslim community in Richardson as a glove is to a hand. It truly is a one stop shop for all your nostalgic cravings, and it would be a grave injustice on my part if I didn't stop by here and sing praise to one of the most loved Mediterranean restaurants in the DFW area. We visited here recently for an iftar buffet experience and were very very happy with the food we got. The buffet line was running smoothly, from staff working diligently to hand everyone a tray with napkins, plates and cutlery already set for you. Waiters were going around the massive dining hall clearing plates, making sure everyone had what they needed, seating patrons and asking if everything tasted good. This establishment runs like a literal well oiled machine and I am so impressed. The food was as always out of this world. Carefully prepared menu that satisfies everyone's taste buds. A good selection of classic cold appetizers like the baba ghanoush, hummus, and variety of salads. Always including something unique for a typical Middle Eastern flare. Hot lentil soup available with bowls carefully placed in the vicinity. So many different types of kebabs and freshly made hot pita bread being replaced like clockwork. The buffet had many of my favorite classics like Shawarma meat, beef kebab, chicken kebab. Lamb, chicken stew, baked chicken, everything was present in abundance. They even had salmon which I deeply appreciated as a seafood lover. My only complaint is the food wasn't hot enough which can be annoying with a buffet that is serving so many people during a busy time like Ramadan. Everything tasted absolutely phenomenal and when I returned for dessert, I was greeted with six different types of sweets from all over the world. That's the thing about this place. There's always something for everybody. The dining hall was bustling with not just Muslim patrons, but also a lot of American white patrons who equally enjoy the food here as much as we do. Inclusions of dishes like shrimp pasta, fried fish, chocolate mousse, and other fan favorites is a humble nod to non-Arab customers who love to frequent this place as much as we do. If you are looking for a quality Mediterranean experience look no further than this long-standing Mediterranean Haven. Thank you for nourishing the community.

This was a fabulous adventure! We took a few hours to visit Sarahs Market and ate lunch at their S Grill. The market is very small, but every inch of its space is very special. First, we found our way to the back corner and sat at a tiny countertop with only 4 chairs. The counter faces an open top grill, and you're able to talk/ watch the chefs make the food. The menu is limited and pricey! We ordered one steak kabob ($26.00). The steak was served medium rare, very juicy, on top of a long rice (similar to rice pasta), and it was coated in a delicious seasoning completely unfamiliar to us. It came with roasted tomatoes & purple onion. You can select from several sides, we picked the hummus. It was a huge portion, enough for 2 people. The chef was so pleased to have us and was very impressed that we were there to learn. He gave us many "generous" sized samples of the sides and sauces they offered. Everything was made in-house, from scratch with fresh ingredients from their grocery store. It was a wonderful experience! The bakery aspect of this location is a small glass display case full of sweets, like macaroons, cheesecake baklava, and more. Most of them were new to us. The pastry chef gave us a few samples that had us buying a bunch to take home, lol. We strolled through the grocery store part of the market before leaving and bought a few items we already enjoyed. The difference was buying things that are made in-house, like pita bread. You can definitely see, smell, and taste the difference. A FIVE STAR review for their authenticity, hospitality, and delicious fresh food. If you're in the area you've got to try the Grilled Kabobs.

It was SO special. We haven't been back in many years and not only did that magical original location close, but what we found instead was this monstrosity of a location that felt hyper corporatized and commercial--in other words, soulless. Listen, we don't begrudge them their success. And we were so happy for them when we saw them being mentioned in the NYT a few years ago. But now Bigdash has gone full American--they've expanded to multiple locations, the quality has gone down, and that je-ne-sais-quoi magic is completely gone. We came here yesterday after a stellar meal at Khashoka, excited since it's been so long since our last visit. We walked in (it was freezing) and the whole place looked like a Disney-ified version of the original Big Dash. There was one woman working, and she was very friendly, but what a different experience than mingling with the original owners in the unpretentious cozy ambience. The worst part is that the ice cream is nowhere near as good! The original Arabic ice cream's level of rose water was off and the ice cream's stretchiness felt less organically created. The pistachio was OK. Our daughter got this crazy container of small individual frozen fruit shapes that were covered in chocolate. Those felt cute and special and we liked them all except for the grape. Again, we're happy for Bigdash's success. They deserve it. But we will not be back again because what we loved so much about this place is no longer. Tis the American way, alas! Three stars and sincere best wishes to them.
