Legit Turkish restaurant in North Dallas. They are one of our favorites and they have all the classics. The kebabs are all good, especially the Adana which is moist and loaded with flavor. We got the chicken claypot stew list time and it was really good. It's like a potato stew in a claypot with pastry wrapped around so it's crispy. Highly recommend it. The best part is dessert. The pistachio baklava is the best we've had in DFW. It's very light, airy, and has the best texture without being overly sweet or using too much syrup. My family of 4, with 2 kiddos, tried this place for the first time and I will say that the dining room was clean, the staff was friendly and overall the food was delicious. When we got there we were the only ones in the restaurant but it picked up a little after some time. We enjoyed the decor. We ordered the Lezzet Oven Delight and Lahmacun, both of these were great. We also had Turkish Coffee which came with a piece of Walnut Baklava, which was yummy. We also ordered kanafeh, which was not good. Some things that could have been improved upon to make my review 5 stars: 1. Clean the bathrooms. The bathroom was in horrible condition. The toilets had not been cleaned in a while and the paper towel dispenser was empty. 2. We wish they offered some type of kids menu. 3. The kanafeh could have been better. There was barely any cheese in it, and it was completely soaked in syrup and sitting in a small pool of syrup. We will eat here again, we just won't bring our kids and we will not be ordering the kanafeh again. read more

I have eaten at this restaurant for many years and am glad it is just down the street. This was reinforced recently when I went to Istanbul and tried Turkish cuisine at its home. I kept thinking, as I ate there, this isn't as good as what they serve at Lezzet! The Adana kabobs (my favorite dish) were definitely better at Lezzet than any restaurant in Istanbul, and the baklava just as good as any in Istanbul. The service in Lezzet is always prompt and--surprisingly--the prices in Istanbul were actually a little higher. So glad to have them as a neighbor. read more

Overall I'd give this place 8 s/10 for the brunch. Absolutely delicious! My husband is Turkish, and we recently ordered our wedding catering from Lezzet Cafe. We went around DFW trying Turkish restaurants, and Lezzet won by a landslide! With all of the authentic dishes, my husband finally felt like he was eating back home in Turkey. The owner Guych handles the catering orders-he was unbelievably kind and showed us so much personal attention. Lovely restaurant with friend staff! Our party of 4 ordered 2 portions of the babagaonush (it was that good!), 2 portions of lahmacun, a mixed kebab platter, and a pistachio baklava. The babagaonush was definitely the highlight for all of us. The dish compiles of mashed smoked eggplant mixed with olive oil, garlic, and tahini, served with hot pieces of flat breads (which are free and you can order as much as you want). Everything from the texture to the seasoning to the perfectly baked pastries was perfection. We simply couldn't get enough of it! The lahmacun, which are huge flat bread pieces with minced beef on top, was also crunchy and delicious. The 2 portions consist of 4 huge pieces of flat bread, each of which is more than enough for one person. The mixed kebab platter was ok. The grilled chicken was absolutely delicious, well seasoned and clearly freshly-made. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for the rest of the platter. The beef patties and the Adana kebab did not taste very fresh and the seasoning did not really satisfy my taste bud (although this is definitely according to my own preferences). I'd definitely just order the grilled chicken when I come back! Lastly, the pistachio baklava was delicious! It's a very simple pastry filled with cheese topped with pistachio bits. At around $75 (before tips, after tax) for 4 people, the meal was very affordable (Bear in mind also that we only ordered one main dish, the mixed kebab). They truly don't skip out on the meat, and the wrap and fries is worth 1.5 meals. The fries weren't anything special, but I recommend the wrap. I've probably driven past this place over a hundred times and finally decided to come in and give it a shot. I'm just sad I didn't eat here earlier. I love Mediterranean food but don't particularly know a lot of Turkish food specifically. We ordered an eggplant salad, grilled chicken plate, and the spinach and feta pide. All of the food was delicious and the service was great too. You can see them making some of the food behind the counter. Then we finished off the meal with some Turkish tea, would recommend. Not only they were missing half of the meat portion, they did not correct their mistake even though I asked them to fix it. Cook was telling waiter that if customers want more food they can order more. This is Unacceptable! I ordered another plate and meet was not cook properly. It was raw. Was looking around for new Turkish restaurant to try with my friends, and I came across Lezzet café. So glad we gave this place a chance! The food is spectacular, fresh, and well seasoned. Service was good, and I like that you are able to do BYOB. Though know they will add $5 bottle fee to your tab. That's a pretty good deal, and they provide glasses for your table. Worth it. A sit-down Turkish restaurant in a mostly suburban part of town. There is a lot of parking in the front and backside of the establishment, and it's next to a karate training center. One main big dining space that holds a big dining table. That table is surrounded by some smaller tables. Patrons include many people who speak Turkish and this is a great place to get introduced to Turkish food. Between the two times I visited, I got the babaganosh, hummus, kanafeh, and the Turkish cheese pizza. Other than the hummus, I never tried Turkish food before visiting Lezzet. The babaganosh was squishy, so I didn't really enjoy it. Again, not sure if that is how it's suppose to be. For the hummus, I was expecting middle eastern style creamy hummus. One that is rustic in texture and unique in taste. Ya'll, this hummus is Sabra style, and for some reason didn't last more than two days in my fridge. The kanafeh was a shining star! Delightfully stringy Turkish cheese with loads of vermicelli and sweet sugar syrup. The Turkish cheese pizza consists of a pita bread crust and olive oil drizzled on top of melted Turkish and mozzarella cheese. Super unique take on pizza.
