I've been here three times. Business lunch, personal lunch, and happy hour. I was so impressed with it as a lunch place. There is a reason I came back after all. The food is delicious and well prepared. When we came back for happy hour, it was kinda meh for the price. Everything jumped by about ten bucks from the lunch menu. I'm not sure if the portions change, but it was alarming compared to our last two visits. The drinks were kind of strange and expensive as well as the snacks. We left and went to blue next door for a much better happy hour. We will be back for lunch!

Kinda pricey. Food is delicious. Came for happy hour at the bar for discounts- 2 drinks and a mezze, $37 before tip. Service was good, provided complimentary pita and olive tapenade. Atmosphere very chic

Great food and great vibes! Highly recommend the grilled platter and the dips platter--both were flavorful and fresh. They serve lots of house-made bread and pita along with a delicious olive tapenade spread. Service was friendly and attentive, and everything came out quickly. For dessert, we tried the flan, regular cheesecake, and pistachio cheesecake. my friends really enjoyed them all. Worth a visit!

What a lovely place for an afternoon happy hour! We sat on the patio (which is dog-friendly), and quite comfortable. The server was attentive and friendly (even played with the pup who joined us). They have a happy hour menu, but we wanted cocktails that weren't on the happy hour menu (they were delicious and still reasonably priced). We also had a sampling of delicious mezzes. The garlic shrimp were particularly yummy. We also had the Girit Ezme (whipped feta). It was out of this world! Great flavor combinations and fresh!

Authentic Turkish food and oh so flavorful! Loved all the food here when we came here for brunch! We ordered lattes, Turkish tea, chicken kabobs, Turkish breakfast, adana kabob and lacuhmen. All the food was super fresh and flavorful. It all came out at decent amount of time and server was super friendly with great recs. The prices are on the higher end but their portions are pretty good. The lattes were decent, not the best, but glad they had it as an option. Great ambiance inside and super easy to get reservations for large parties. Also, I called to ask about halal option and was told all the meat is halal! I'd def come here again!

Went here yesterday for work and omg definitely have to try! Love that they have the bread to start, and then I got the lamb shank, it is cooked perfectly with the eggplant sauce and served with basmati rice. The servers were very kind, and it was definitely a happening spot with its beautiful decor. I sat at a the bar since I was only one person, had a nice glass of cab. Next time I'm there I am definitely going to try the Lahmajun.

My friend and I were craving Mediterranean food, and Chefika Cafe satisfied that craving. This is a really charming spot with stylish decor and seating. They also have outdoor seating, but it seemed to be closed for the evening. We arrived around 8 on a Monday evening and were seated right away. Service was quick, but it did feel like our server was rushing us to order. We started with complimentary bread and dip, then shared the hummus, which we both enjoyed. I wanted chicken but wasn't in the mood for rice, so I went with the Chicken Delight. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked the eggplant and mushrooms that come with it. I will say that it was a bit too salty for my liking, but still delicious overall. (I am pretty sensitive to salt, though). Parking was easy, with a garage available close by. I enjoyed my first visit to Chefika and would come again!

Chefika is on our rotation of restaurants. The atmosphere is so pretty and calming, the evil eye wall absorbs any negative energy, the happy hour and service are consistently great! The food is delicious and house made. It's casual and upscale at the same time.

Have to love this yummy fresh restaurant, lovely patio with white table clothes great ambiance inside & out. Great servers can be a little slow but teaches us all to slow down. Tiki Hubby and I are doing Keto so we loved the kabobs no rice but eggplant purée and cauliflower.

Where do I start? This was an amazing experience; maybe because we got there early right before the rush and we got lots of attention and it was great! We made a reservation the day before and when we got there we were immediately greeted, we asked to sit at the bar and had a great time with our bartender! When you first walk in everything is super bright and clean, blue and white with lots of glass and plants, vases, flowers, lamps, gorgeous! (I know, that sentence is out of order but whatever) The I ordered an old fashion and it packed a nice punch, my husband ordered a Modelo and it was served in a nice frosty glass. They brought us a little bowl of fresh popped popcorn and some Turkish bread with dip. It was so good we ordered more bread! We also got the beet carpaccio sprinkled with pistachio, it was so refreshing and light, with a gentle drizzle of vinaigrette. To layer onto our meal we got an order of the spicy lamb meatballs which were so freaking good I still dream about them! The real star of the show was the garlic shrimp, we used the bread to dip into the garlic juice and put a shrimp on it . . . OMG!! We ordered light because we were there waiting for our first grand baby to be born and we didn't want leftovers so this was perfect, but I am already looking forward to my next Dallas trip to go back and get a full plate! Everything was perfect. They are all so friendly and fun, if you're in Dallas, GO!

I was so excited to try this place as it's closer to our house. Currently, we are driving to N Dallas, to Sahara or Far N Dallas to Shiraz. Both excellent choices for Persian or Turkish food. This is a 2 1/2 stars review for the atmosphere being trendy and comfy. They are in the previous Tricky Fish spot across from Trader Joe's on Walnut Hill and 75. So, atmosphere is great, nothing really changed other than paint, table cloths and decor. They even had live music on Friday night. I was shocked to see tables available in both inside and outside on A weekend night at 7:30. We chose outside. I'd like to say service was good but sadly it was not. Turkish service is usually terrific so definitely a hard start. The wine list comprised mostly unheard wines and our waiter had no idea about any of it. The manager came over and we tried a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc, Craggy Range. Decent choice at $56. Sadly, other than opening it we were in charge of our own service. Same with beers, one order and never ask again. Water was never refilled on our sultry Dallas night in August. And finally, the food... we started with the Mezze Platter. 6 mediocre spoons of sauces with salad garnish for $29. No bread brought or offered for it. It says crudités, but some spinach leaves and five or so thinly sliced carrots and cucumbers do not make crudités. Bland hummus is an insult for Mediterranean food. The baba ganoush was edible but again lacking all char flavor of the eggplant. A soupy pesto sauce, a jarred pepper sauce, and a stellar Mahmamar, (sp) sauce made of molasses and walnuts. In fact, only 3 items of note are that sauce, the complementary tapanade and a distinctly different rice accompaniment to the entrees were the only highlights of the night. The Hanger Steak kabobs were some sort of pot or chuck roast with glaze on it. The Adana kebab, ground beef go to, was edible but lacking all the depth and spice expected. We will continue driving to the better options in Dallas.

I ambiance was really nice. It is right across Trader Joe's. I order the salmon which was very tasty. I also had the Sebastian cheesecake. Service was wonderful. Great place for a date or bringing a friend. Will definitely come back again!

We discovered this place quite by accident but what a wonderful find. It is a great restaurant and we had an excellent experience all the way around. The ambience is upscale but not pretentious. The interior is very attractive and on the minimalist side, meaning that there is not a lot of adornments on the walls from Turkey, but they are not necessary. The service was exceptional from the moment we entered to our departure. Our server Murat was professional, polite, gracious, and efficient. At least 3 different people (managers?) stopped by to ask if everything was ok during our meal. Other waiters we encountered acknowledged us and thanked us for coming. We were asked if we needed refills on bread and water, so we were well taken care of. The food was exceptional. We started with hummus which was smooth, silky, and mild. I like more garlic but this hummus was very good and I did not mind that it did not have a strong garlic flavor. We also had the beet salad and it was excellent. There was a generous portion of cooked beets with some pistachio pieces and goat cheese on top. Both the wife and I really enjoyed it. For entrees, the wife had the lamb shank and loved it. The lamb was very tender and juicy with a wonderful flavor. I had the grilled chicken which was marinated white chicken chunks. The chicken was incredibly well marinated so it was very flavorful. It was cooked to perfection so it was juicy and tender. It came with grilled vegetables and rice. The veggies were grilled perfectly. The child had a Turkish pizza and liked it. For dessert, the child had some kind of ball of chocolate and ate the entire bowl. She never eats a whole bowl of anything. The wife and I shared a piece of pistachio cheesecake and it was excellent. Not too sweet, good flavor, and the perfect ending to a perfect meal. She had Turkish coffee and I had Turkish tea, both of which were excellent. This restaurant has been open 2-3 months but it is a winner. The restaurant was just about full when we left. There is a large outside space for dining when the weather is nice. I expect this restaurant to be very successful. I hope it does not change a thing and continues to serve outstanding food with gracious service. We definitely will be back.

Amazing coffee spot in a cool Walnut Hill complex…read more I like the vibe here and their coffee is always on point. I've only been during the day and always spend a little time working before a coffee meeting. The WiFi is always good and the coffee is great. The ambiance is very open and inviting as well. They serve small bites as well but I haven't really partaken. Additionally, I think they have several beers on tap and they appear to all be cool local brews. If you're looking for a good local coffee shop with a vibe, this may be your new spot!!

This coffee shop has quietly become my Dallas work-week crush…read more It's conveniently close to the office I'm using while I'm here, but the real draw is the vibe. Beautiful sunshine pours through big windows, there's a lovely park right outside, and the light is so good it feels like the café equivalent of a good hair day. Dallas weather helps, obviously--but this place knows how to use it. The space is lively without being chaotic. Plenty of outdoor seating, lots of indoor seating, and a very reasonable three-hour Wi-Fi window that keeps people working instead of camping. It feels intentional. People come here to stay, not hover in line. Speaking of which--there's never a line. They're clearly well staffed, everyone's efficient, and everyone is genuinely nice. Now, pastries. This is where they shine. A lot of unique options you don't see everywhere, and everything I tried was excellent. The almond croissant? Fantastic. The blueberry cake? A must-get. I went two days in a row (because obviously), and on day one they told me it was their most popular item. Day two, by 11 a.m., it was completely gone and kept selling out as soon as they tried to restock. That alone tells you what you need to know. The matcha is good--made from scratch, which I appreciate. Is it the best matcha I've ever had? No. It's better than Local Johnny's, but not quite on the level of Marin Coffee Roasters or Ralph & Rose. Still very drinkable and enjoyable, especially if you're settling in to work. What really sets this place apart is its personality. It doesn't feel like a cookie-cutter café or "insert minimalist coffee brand here." There's charm. Character. A little whiteboard with a joke about New Year's resolutions that made me smile. Small details, but they matter. Would I come back? Absolutely. I already did--twice. I'd recommend it especially for locals looking for a solid work spot, co-working with a friend, or anyone who wants to be productive without being bothered. If you're visiting Dallas briefly, this might not be a destination café--but if you're here for a bit and want a reliable, pleasant, sunny place to work and snack, this one's a yes.
