This is my favorite merit coffee location, they always get my latte just right. I love that their coffee isn't too bitter- it tastes smooth and sweet, yet it still has a distinct coffee taste. I also buy their bags and use it at home in my Keurig (they ground the beans for me if I ask). I also loveee their pastries. The strawberry pop tart and the kolache is great. Their merch is really cool. Just know that this location has very little seating space. read more

Merit Coffee - Sugar Free vanilla latte - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Dallas, Texas

Merit Coffee is one of those places that just gets it right every single time. No matter what seasonal drinks they roll out -- and they always have something fun and creative -- my husband sticks with their classic black cold brew, and it never disappoints. Smooth, bold, perfectly balanced... it's become his non-negotiable order, and honestly, I get it. I don't usually grab anything from the bakery case, but everything always looks so fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented that it's tempting every visit. You can tell they take pride in what they offer. Circle is consistently friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. It's the kind of service that feels genuine and makes you look forward to coming back. Whenever I'm in the area, Merit Coffee is an automatic stop -- great drinks, great people, great vibes. Always a highlight! P.S. There's always folks working here, so it must be a popular spot to answer a few emails. read more

Merit Coffee - Cinnamon Toast Crunch Macha. Was tasty, but not sure I would get it again. - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Dallas, Texas

I enjoyed their matcha when I was in Austin, and I've been wanting to try the banana pudding matcha and they have it now!! We got the Banana Pudding Matcha & a Cold Brew w/ Chantilly Sweet Cream. The banana matcha was so good, the banana flavor wasn't overpowering at all and not too sweet. The matcha flavor was a bit too light in my opinion, I couldn't taste it that much. The cold brew was alright, the Chantilly foam was good though. Their strawberry matcha was really good too, you should give them a try :) read more

This was my first time coming to Merit Coffee, and boy was it packed! I arrived around 10 AM on a Wednesday, and almost every seat was taken (though it started to clear out around 11:30 and get busy again around 1:30). But the crowd makes sense because the coffee tastes really good! I'm not much of a coffee drinker, but I genuinely enjoyed my iced vanilla latte. There was a mix of people here working and socializing. If you're looking for a quiet, cozy spot, this might not be the ideal place for you, but it's definitely bright and welcoming. I was still able to get work done with noise cancelling headphones. There's plenty of parking available in a large lot. Overall, I enjoyed my first experience here and would come back! read more

Dropped in over lunch for a quick drink and a bag of coffee. My favorite in other shops is the "one and one" or "one plus one", basically a split espresso shot, half straight, half with milk (like a mini cortado). It's not on the menu here, but my very friendly barista offered to make it once we ironed out the details (half and half instead of whole milk, please). He did a great job, and both drinks were very tasty! Seating is, as other have noted, not very expansive, but it's nice and well lit, and is an inviting space to sit and have a drink with your laptop or tablet. As I was leaving, I grabbed a bag of coffee to take home, and it was fruity and delicious as an espresso. Definitely a great shop! read more

More like a 3.9/5 The interior is quite small when compared to other merit locations. For some reason the day I went in it was really warm and stuffy inside like the AC was not really turned on. The barista who took my order was nice and was very patient with my questions. I would've asked to modify my drink more but I felt rushed and pressured because people had lined up behind me. I got a strawberry matcha and although it want the worst I got I also didn't really love love it. The bathrooms were clean but mine was out of soap so I had to go to another one. One thing I love is how they have liquid honey and simple syrup on the bar so you can make your drink sweeter yourself. read more

The baristas serve amazing quality coffee with a friendly and down-to-earth vibe. I stopped by for a midday pick-me-up, ordered a lovely lavender latte, and was impressed by the quality of the beans. I definitely will be returning back whenever I'm in the area my coffee fix. read more

Great pistachio matcha and quick service. Very busy location but definitely worth the stop!

A little expensive but on par with most coffee shops nowadays. Service was quick and coffee was delicious. I recommend the Rosemary Brown Sugar Latte. Great place to sit and work for a few hours. It can get loud when it's more packed but some headphones can fix that. Would come back here again. read more

The coffee is the only reason for going. The place is a very cramped and will induce claustrophobic feelings as it's like being sardines in a can. Most seats don't face outward. Service has gone downhill. The music is quite bad. Parking is cramped; the spots are too small for most vehicles driven in Texas. read more

matcha tastes incredible! i got the berry matcha and it was so delicious it had freeze dried fruit on top and berry cream top. a little pricey but worth it l! service was average not the best but also not a negative experience. there's a lot of seating and the vibe of the place overall was very positive. read more

So glad to have a legit coffeeshop that isn't Starbucks at this intersection. I'm definitely no coffee connoisseur so I can't tell you that the coffee is the best you'll find, but my London Fog is pretty good. More importantly, they are set up to provide an enjoyable and hospitable customer experience, unlike Starbucks which has removed virtually all of its seating in an effort to minimize in-store time. There are plenty of small tables and also some long benches that run several tables in length and have many outlets for laptops. I tested both plugs in the outlet closest to my seat and both were working. The restrooms are clean, modern, and functional. There are baby changing fold-outs, easy vacant/occupied indicators outside the doors so there's no question as to occupancy, and both are gender neutral so you're not stuck waiting for a specific bathroom to become available while the other sits awkwardly empty. (Why do any places even bother with male/female, single-person restrooms anymore?) Service was friendly and helpful. My only nitpick would be the apparent lack of attention to dining area cleanliness. Although the place overall appears neat, the table next to me has sat with a very noticeable mess of what appears to be powdered sweetener that has made it unusable for at least the past half hour. The table next to that one has a mess of crumbs on it. No one seems to be monitoring the interior closely for opportunities to clean up, despite there being more employees than customers in the shop right now. That said, it's not really a problem for anyone at the moment, just an opportunity for improvement. Exterior posted signage includes no smoking/vaping and no outside food/drinks. No firearm restrictions. I'm impressed overall and would definitely come again. read more

Amazing service on a Friday noon. They had plenty of options of coffee and seats and wall outlets. Clean and plenty of parking. I got the Affogato made with LICK ice cream. Good espresso and good ice cream. The Mocha Latte was a LARGE cup and that was decent too. I would come back for the strawberry matcha latte. read more

This one is for my hot chocolate lovers. Their hot chocolate tastes like a cozy hug. Definitely recommend and it's now my favorite hot chocolate from the coffee shops I've tried in the DFW area. I ordered it with whole milk to enjoy its full splendor and it was delicious. The service was friendly though I was kind of disappointed that they didn't know about the coffee I inquired about: Mornings With You. Both baristas seemed confused about whether it was a coffee Merit offered and asked where I had seen it. I saw it on the website and hoped that I would be able to find a bag for purchase but I don't believe they had in stock so I went for another flavor. read more

I love this location - great management and such a beautiful store. Ayesha is always friendly and caring. I've seen the staff deal with some difficult customer interactions and have been impressed with their ability to stay calm and handle anything that comes their way. My favorite drinks are the banana match and a cappuccino. The tacos are great - make sure you get there early as they're a fan favorite. read more

Feels like part of the new wave in Dallas, of cafes that give you a feeling you are in California or New York. Or maybe part of the 'rebelling against the Starbucks movement' :) In either cases, this cafe is a nice place to hang out at. It is close to many shops, groceries, and restaurants. A very casual cafe with a relaxed atmosphere. Indoor and outdoor seating areas. For a cafe, quality and taste of coffee is the most important thing. And here, they did an excellent job at both. Nice place! read more

Nice to have a regional "3rd wave" coffee shop chain in the area. This one's out of San Antonio. The coffee is high quality. They use their own roasted beans and Mill-King milk out of McGregor, TX. Milk alternatives include oat, almond, and coconut. They had only a few seasonal specials when I went in which were all of the fizzy or fruity variety for spring. They have a limited selection of food including bagels, oatmeal, pigs in blankets, muffins, cruffins, sandwiches, and tacos from Tacodeli. Tacos are available only until 11am but you can always pop over next door to Velvet Taco if you need your taco fix. Whole Foods Market is across the parking lot too. I had a gourmet oat bar called a Hippie something-or-other. They warmed it up for me and It was good -- kind of like a Bobo's oat bar but better. They have WiFi with indoor and outdoor seating. All tables are 2-person tables but you can move some of them around if you have a larger party. Inside is a mix of benches and chairs. The benches have electrical outlets. You could probably squeeze up to 30 people inside and 15 people outside. Outdoor seating is covered with patio umbrellas. read more

Service was great. Coffee was good. I asked what the papas was and she simply said potato. My mistake as I assumed it was a breakfast taco. I guess in theory it was but when it came out I thought the tortilla was raw. It was actually like a mashed potato that they used to wrap the beans and cheese in. Having said that it still tasted like raw dough. I took 2 small bites and threw it away immediately. I may stop in here again for a coffee if it is the closest thing but the raw dough taste for $5 isn't worth a trip back. Better explanation should be up ther read more

Called at 959 and asked if they had breakfast tacos. "We stop selling tacos at 10 am" some bs from an overpriced coffee shop!

This is a very cramped coffee house where everyone is situated looking at one another. It's just weird. The actual coffee was good, however the dairy canister was empty, as though no one maintains that area. When I was there, I noticed the presence of several lifers, my term for customers who linger for hours on end, and even leave their laptops unattended and unprotected just sitting on tables while they go out to the Whole Foods or wherever, rather than give up the table to someone else. Staff shouldn't let people take over tables and then go out to other businesses. read more

I love merit coffee and am sad to leave a bad review for them but the staff at the Preston Forest location is extremely rude time and time again. They are unwilling to accommodate special orders and are consistently trying to rush people out. Not very welcoming for a coffee shop.
