A lovely little cafe within walking distance of Highland Park HS. I had an iced latte (2 shots, but you get a third shot for free should you need one) with whole milk. The coffee was really good and smooth. Service: The cafe was packed on a Saturday! It took them around 5-10 minutes for my drink to be ready. Ambiance: The cafe is tiny! They have a front area for waiting, but in the back they have additional seating (pictured). read more

Amazing and strong coffee! I also tried the lemon loaf omg it's to die for no literally! They spread this little butter on it "chefs kiss" the perfect amount of salty and sweet pairs so perfect with the coffee! I've been a fan of LDU since their first location on Fitzhugh and they are serving some of the best valued coffee in Dallas. - Atmosphere: It's called LDU Coffee To Go for a reason! This location is long and narrow with space for a line on one side and a large bench for seating on the other. While it's small, people do sit around to chat. There is parking out front, but it can be tight so sometimes it's easier to park a little further away. - Service: When I was sitting on the bench waiting for my coffee, a server came up to me and delivered it, even though it's coffee to go. LDU adds that nice extra touch! - Coffee and Value: I am no coffee expert, but the experts love LDU. For $4 you can get a delicious hot latte with flavored syrup. It's less than a dollar extra to sub alternative milk. I don't know anywhere else serving such a high quality, custom latte for that price! I still have not tried their sandwiches, but I've heard great things and they're definitely on my list. read more

I love visiting new coffee shops, and LDU has been on my must visit for a while! I'm really glad I came because the cashier was so friendly and nice and helped me decide what to order. I believe I ended up just getting my classic order (iced vanilla latte), and it was a pretty decent cup of coffee. It was creamy and light, and the vanilla flavor was really nice. read more

Last time at LDU Preston location. I work nearby and this is my go to coffee spot but after today i am done! Horrible service by the girl in long braids warm skin tone with a curt manner. When i asked for a remake i felt dismissed and irrational. I ordered an iced vanilla matcha and received milk with vanilla instead. When i normally spend 7$, i spent about $20 because she made me purchase new drinks that kept coming out wrong and didn't taste like they normally do. Clearly she needs some retraining to do or another job that puts a smile on her face. read more

If on the hunt for good espresso, look no further. Smooth and bold flavor without being burnt or tangy. Great service too, was hand delivered my coffee. Ordered an americano, not watered down, felt the perfect caffeine effect from it as well. Ambiance reminded me of those natural coffee filters maybe it's the way the menu was written and posted in the store or even the color scheme, but that's how I'd describe it. The LDU by me offers dim to natural lighting throughout the store, modern tables and benches/seats available. Seems to be very popular on the weekends, probably not the best time to go do work there, but during the week, seems like a great spot if you work virtually. Ok LDU might be my absolute fav coffee in Dallas right now. Always kind. Always welcoming. And the coffee is just consistently great. I get the Boss w/ Oatmilk which is basically a double shout over ice with like 4 oz of milk. Perfect ratio and so few places offer an easy way to order that! This location has a really small seating area in the back but they encourage you not to camp. More of a grab and go spot. No wifi. And it's perfect. read more

went to LDU for the first time and i can say u was thoroughly impressed. Adam the owner, was the one to great me and my friend at the register and he was one of the most friendly people i've ever met!! We talked for 30minutes about random things, and normally i would have left a conversation by then, but it was so fun talking to him, i couldn't stop! Not only was the conversation great, the coffee he made for us was amazing too! Me and my friend just let him know what we like in our coffee drinks, and he made us the perfect drink I would definitely recommend this place to everyone and for you to go try if you can! read more

ADAM is the best!! Let me start by saying we met Adam at a coffee day a year or so ago and learned of this location. He and his brother have two shops. He is Australian guys! So the accent and humor is apparent and helps you feel welcome upon entering. I come here often enough that he immediately knows I start all orders with a double espresso. Adam makes a potent pour just how I prefer it and blends seamlessly with other liquids for a latte. Espresso too strong for you? Try the magic mike. Do you prefer a quiet ambiance? Sneak to the back room, put up your feet,and enjoy your drink. Matter of fact go as a group and watch him work his magic. You wont be disappointed. read more

One of THE best coffee shops in Dallas. There's really not much else to say. No words can ever do LDU coffee justice. I'm such a huge fan of the original location on Fitzhugh Ave. This newer (second) location is amazingly a direct extension of the original location, albeit smaller, the service, quality and vibe are just as EXCELLENT. I can rave on and on about LDU. But I'll leave it to you to visit here and see for yourself. Seriously, to all my coffee lovers, you owe it to yourself to stop by LDU coffee. This review is long overdue given that we had a great first time experience. After making an early morning trek to the airport to pick up family, we stopped off at LDU to get some coffee to wake us up lol. LDU did not disappoint! It was POURING down raining outside, but it kind of suited the vibe of of the place. I ordered an oat milk latte and my mom got a cortado. Both were great and the flavor the the espresso really came through in my latte. I should have left with some of their cold brew concentrate, but next time for sure! read more

LDU coffee is a sweet little spot under some apartments. They take the Bs out of a lot of these other cafes around the area and just do their thing. The customer service was very friendly from the jump. My girlfriend had the Cowboy juice. It wasn't the best coffee, tasted kind of watered down, but it wasn't too bad. This is just your basic coffee stop. They get the drinks out fairly quickly. They have free cool stickers and other merch to look at. I got a vanilla latte w oat milk and banana bread. They do not have specialty drinks which was a little disappointing for me. It is a chill place to study. It has huge windows that light up the room. read more

Fantastic coffee and personable service. One of the owners, Adam, took the time to chat with us and talk about how he ended up from Australia to this little part of Dallas. My cappuccino was one of the best I've ever had; the brew was soooo smooth. I just wish we lived closer to this location as we would be here all the time. They have a clever gift rack too. My wife said Adam's recommendations for her coffee were on point too! read more

LDU is a wonderful coffee shop that's walking distance from Highland Park High School! The drinks are great, and the food is outstanding. I recommend the Yolko Oh-No or the Marco Polo sandwiches, which are both cheesy and delicious. Prices are very reasonable! The staff is always welcoming and cheerful, and takes the time to get your order right. There isn't much seating inside, but there are a few outdoor tables and some bench seating inside. This place is amazing. Baristas get to know you and your order quite fast. I walk in, and Adam (the guy with the Australian accent) gets started on my order before I even say a thing! Their coffee is great and menu is simple. If you are hungry, try one of the sandwiches, the pulled pork is my favorite and not something you find at your local coffee shop usually. Definitely some of the best espresso/coffee in Dallas. If you want a stronger coffee or something on the lighter side, let them know and they will get you exactly what you are looking for. read more

A quaint coffee shop tucked between stores on Preston Rd that makes me feel like you're about to step into a 90's movie coffeehouse, when coffeehouses in the US were emerging - it just has such a special vibe. Amazing coffee! My order has always been accurate and now they added oat milk so it's fun to change it up from my old favorite of almond milk latte. The service is always fantastic. I usually go to the Fitzhugh location when heading out for coffee but will try to make it out to the Preston location more. I can't express how much I love this place. Their coffee is just absolutely delicious. I started with a quart-shot latte, then their coffee beans. Best coffee I've had in Dallas area. Loved the merch in the back, especially the tote bags! It was packed at all times on a Saturday, and the line was always long! However, the drinks came out pretty quick, and the employees were definitely working hard behind the counter. I got the matcha squared drink, which was so creamy and not as sweet as some of their other drinks. I was wanting to try a holiday drink, but I was too scared it would be too sweet, so I'm glad I chose the squared latte instead. I went to visit their original location on Northwest Hwy. conveniently located right next to the Dallas Police Northwest Division. Fun fact: did you know that they have a roastery next to their original location? How amazing! However, that one is by appointment only, so check with them for more details. Shoutout to the White Rock Coffee staff for welcoming us back with open arms, as well as introducing new drinks to us that were of high demand and interest. One, however, that really did catch my eye, was my all time-favorite: the White Rocker, which included two shots of espresso, whole milk, and their signature White Rock syrup. My friend on the other hand, got the Lone Star Latte -- chai with a hint of that White Rock syrup that they put in there as well! Because of their roastery, all of their coffee beans are sourced from local partners and cooked and roasted right here in the heart of Dallas. I'm just really glad that I was able to really catch up with the times that there are, honestly. I'll definitely be back to visit more whenever I'm in the DFW! Y'all have my support! :)

I decided to go upstairs because I thought maybe a vent was blowing directly at me, but no!!! It was seriously so cold everywhere. A girl next to me was rubbing her hands together and blew into them just to keep warm. I mean, really? It was kind of funny how crazy cold it was. I expected to be there at least 3 or 4 hours since I had a lot to do but I left after 30 minutes. I wanted to go outside to sit down at one of their tables but not a table was in sight! I guess they got rid of them? I'll come back... with sweats on and a beanie! Not even trying to be funny I'm being so serious
