I enjoyed Wayward. It's a spacious coffee shop with the sounds of soothing music mixed with espresso machines. I got strawberry matcha which was a nice treat. Couldn't try the pastries cause they were mostly sold out by the afternoon.
A fun little coffee spot that has nice seating, open spaces, and bright lighting. I liked the ambience a lot because it felt casual and also like a place you could work or read. It was fairly quiet when we went on a weekday. The coffee tastes really good and the baristas are nice. Cost is average for a local coffee place.
The vibes inside this coffee shop were really nice; however, there was no seating available when we went. We ended up ordering a cortado and matcha latte. The matcha was fairly watery and pretty pricey given that it did not taste the best. Additionally, the cortado was really bitter and also more expensive than other local options. The combination of all of these factors left me disappointed and I do not plan on returning.
Someone said this cafe was a work from home heaven, and I'd 100% agree. This cafe has lo-fi music and nothing wordy or loud. Easy place to concentrate. Does feel like an upscale corporate office. Very nice vibes tho. The gold rush latte is amazing! Highly recommend this place if you need to concentrate or want to catch up with friends. I'd like longer hours tho.
I'm so glad I stumbled upon Wayward Coffee Co upon searching for a coffee shop to get some work done! The space is very big, bright, and welcoming with lots of beautiful greenery, making the study/work experience much more enjoyable. There's plenty of seating, including large tables that can fit up to 8 people, small 2 seaters, and couches. There's also a private community room, but I'm not sure if it requires a reservation or fee. Drinks were priced on the higher end. I ordered an iced chai, which was pretty standard. The service was also fairly average. There is a private parking lot available in the front and extra available behind the building. Overall, I'm really glad I made the trip from Fort Worth to here! I highly recommend this spot, especially if you're needing to hanker down and are looking for a productive place to study/work.

I know the design district is expensive, but the prices push it even for the neighborhood. to add to that, the wifi rarely works, defeating its one strength as a good place to work. the staff was very kind though, and of course the coffee is high-quality. if you're looking for somewhere with a little bit more soul, i would just go down the street to triumph's.

They had your usual coffee/locally supported beer draft options. There were some baked goods for nibbles. Seasonal menu lead me to a choice of pistachio latte float. The foam is pre-made. I got my latte with oat milk. It came cold. Only a star off for off flavor. The foam tasted sour. Barista was cool with remaking it hot. Second try/time was the charm! They had WiFi. Same parking for Subway and barre 3. Parking available in the lot. Cheers!
DRINKS Matcha - has a unique flavor. It's not like super representative of matcha but it has a special tea aroma to it which tastes good! VIBES This is a great place to work. They have plenty of seating from benches near outlets to high share seating to sofas to private rooms. I love the vibe of this place with all the real plants, some of them being super huge just really cool. Great connection, plenty of outlets, and lots of people were working, studying or just talking with each other. SERVICE so great! They're very personable and friendly!

Some really good coffee found in Dallas! This shop has a lively yet calm environment on the weekends. Seems like a place of community. The day I came there was a catering popup by Molino Oloyo who were serving tacos (from breakfast to wagyu confit and more). You may be in for a treat depending on when you stop bu during the week. I ordered a classic honey/vanilla iced latte with oatmilk. The quality of the coffee was REALLY bomb!
I read through other reviews that the people aren't the friendliest and I'd have to agree with that! It was a little tough to have someone crack a smile behind the counter... and I feel like that's just something you need when you're spending $7 on a coffee. I got the hibiscus tea and my husband got the drip coffee. Both were great! It was a little odd that the coffee shop didn't have holiday flavors .. but maybe they are trying to be different? I loveeeeed the plants in the place also- that's always a plus for me! Lots of seating- the place is pretty huge!

I really appreciated how great they were. My Oat Milk Latte was awesome! I really love when I can taste the work that goes into a good espresso shot, it had such a rich and creaminess to it. Will be back!
Dropped by here (OK, in fairness, made a trek) furthering my quest to find top tier espresso in the Dallas area. Spurred on by their menu stating "rotating single origin options", I had high hopes. Upon arrival, I found that they do offer single origin espresso, but typically just one espresso option (other than their default used primarily for milk drinks. Today's offering was an Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Chelbesa by Parlor, with notes of honey, bergamont, and raspberry. Since espresso was what I was here for, but knowing that I also love a great cortado, I opted for the "one and one", a great option to get both. It's a split shot, half neat, and half with milk like a mini cortado or macchiato (in the Italian sense, not the Starbucks sense). This turned out to be a great choice. It's really two tiny drinks, coupled with a tiny sparkling water palate cleanser, but if you're after flavor and not a thirst quencher, it's just the thing. The espresso was bright and fruity with no hint of bitterness. The cortado was creamy but not overly "milky". Both very nice. As for the decor and overall appearance of the place, well, it's nice, but it's a little utilitarian in terms of seating and tables, and the lighting could use some upgrades. In fairness, it does have two large skylights to let in natural light, so that's good. But the tables are accommodating for laptops and other tools of coffee shopping, and there were plenty of folks (myself included) doing just that. Really, though, I was here for the "for here" coffee, and it did not disappoint. The bagged coffee selection was a little sparse, and many of the bags didn't have roast dates, so I passed for this visit.
The space is great. Big and lots of seating and natural light. Love the way they decorated. Coffee is obviously legit and they serve pastries from a local baker I hear are very good. Little but pricey for speciality drinks but about on par for cold brew. Staff all friendly and helpful too. Wish I lived closer read more

10/10 all the way around. First off, the aesthetic here is everything. I love love love the decor and the vibes in side. The service was okay, not bad; but not great just mediocre. I can't remember the name of my drink but it was a latte with vanilla and honey and cinnamon which was very delicious. I will def be back to try other things on the menu. Super spacious and tons of tables and chairs to chill at. read more

My husband and I popped in here for an afternoon pick me up. This was our first time visiting. The coffee shop was super busy, almost every seat was taken. We both ordered a vanilla latte and enjoyed our drinks. I absolutely loved all of the plants that were inside! Literally, plant heaven. I liked that there's a conference room in the pack of you were wanting to work with a team/group. My only gripe is that I think charging $1.50 for flavoring is a bit steep, personally. We bought a bag of coffee beans and it was probably the most expensive bag of beans we have ever bought ($19!). They were very good though, as we tried them the next day. read more
Love the ambiance here, when I walked in I saw lots of large plants and natural lighting. A great place to work because it isn't ridiculously loud. I love that even though I ordered to go they still did latte art. Staff was super welcoming. read more
What a cool vibe in this place! We went to get a hot drink on this chilly day and to sit and chill while crafting or drawing or reading books. This place is welcoming and has a lot of open space. There is a central area that has bar seating and offer an assortment of hot and iced drinks. We came about lunchtime on a Mon and there was only one thing left in the pastry case. So note to self, don't come on an empty stomach! read more

QUALITY COFFEE! My husband and I went here for the first time this morning after hearing great things about it. He ordered a cold brew light ice, and they listened (which almost never happens at other places); he also got Costa Rica Finca from Proud Mary. The cold brew was so smooth and rich: no bitter or burnt flavors. I ordered a lavender latte with fat free milk. It was also delicious, not surgery sweet at all. Finally, as a breakfast snack we got the bacon, chive, and cheddar scone! It was rich and savory! We will definitely be back. There's lots of space to work or chat with friends. They also have alcohol and happy hours, so something for everyone! Service was top notch! read more

On a whim I drove up - it's pretty far from where I live but I decided to run an errand and wanted to check it out. I used to work at a place that had an employee who had connections with wayward so I was super excited to try it. Overall I enjoyed my time here. It was pretty quiet even though there were a good amount of people. It would be a good place to study and get work done. It's simple yet eclectic in a way. You would understand after walking in. I got comfy on a couch but had to charge my laptop at a table. Con- The tables along the wall all are super packed together and I was almost touching one of the poles in the place where the outlet went. I don't like sitting that close to other people because I like space and privacy but someone sat right next to me and so I left shortly after. Coffee taste- I tried a new latte but didn't like it so asked to replace it with a honey latte which is my usual and it was great! I ended up adding more sugar bc if I'm going to drink something with sweetness I prefer it sweeeet. The staff member that greeted me was super nice and the barista that remade my drink was not as easy to talk to but still kind. If it's on the way for me I'd definitely try out the other Wayward location. read more

We went for the grand opening party, it was a lot of fun! The space is so modern and well decorated, I love the old west theme. They also have a lot of greenery which I thought was beautiful! This spot is a great place to WFH and they also have a community room you can rent out. I love how spacious the shop is too. The coffee was amazing and fresh. I ordered the Gold Rush Lattee with oat milk and my boyfriend ordered the matcha latte. They both came out super fast and the baristas were sweet. Both drinks were 10/10 phenomenal. This spot is one of the best coffee shops I've ever been to in Dallas. I highly recommend. read more

This is my favorite coffee shop to visit in Dallas. It's massive so you can find a spot to get work done while, and it definitely helps that the coffee is top notch. I used to have a Cat Cloud coffee bean subscription, so I knew I would enjoy the brews here because the Santa Cruz-based roaster is Wayward's main supply. read more

Lovely coffee shop with plenty of space and an open layout. There are couches, big tables, and small tables, suitable for a variety of uses from chatting to working/studying. I wish there were more outlets and the coffee is all right (can be on the extra bitter side), but if you want the vibe as much as the coffee itself, it's worth checking out this coffeeshop. read more
I love the smaller Wayward in Oak Cliff so much and was excited to try this new location over in the design district. The biggest difference is that this place is huge! There is endless seating from couches to tables to bar stools. The place was filled on the weekend, but the noise level was not so hard to deal with. The aesthetic is a lot glossier than the the older one, but it makes sense for the neighborhood. Just like the original location the coffee is excellent and I enjoy the specialty drinks like the A24 menu and some of the specially cold brew cocktails. I do wish they had a few more vegan pastry options, but I don't hold it against them. The baristas are always friendly and pick out great music. While I prefer the cozier Oak Cliff shop, I would not hesitate to come to this location especially because it is open later. read more

In terms of aesthetics, this place is beautiful. Ample seating, couches, and outlets. Tons of plants and natural lighting, which makes the place feel alive. White marker on black cups. Just beautiful. This is the first time I've ordered a decaf oat milk latte, and it was really strong and bitter. I don't think I drank even 1/3 of it, but I'm not sure if that's because it was decaf or because of the beans they use, the technique, etc. So in terms of drinks, it was a miss, but that was that one drink. I would come back again to give it another shot because it has immaculate vibes. read more
