We were visiting from out of town and accidentally selected this Eiland location instead of the one on Custer. Same fantastic coffee, same fantastic service, but a lot smaller since it seems to be attached to the roasting/packaging facility. :) They also don't have food options at this location, but it's a cute spot to get your cup of Joe if you're in the area. read more

I've just started getting our espresso maker going finally and the Eiland espresso beans I've been buying are excellent. The Delicato blend is easy to get right and has a nice robust flavor that goes great with milk drinks too. I always like visiting since the area is off the beaten path and has a utilitarian feel. It's like you found a hidden treasure. The baristas have been helpful and good to talk with- really friendly. You get a free drink when you buy a bag of coffee beans so I always look forward to when it's time to resupply. No seating as others have mentioned. read more

DRINKS Mocha - They use chocolate bars for the mocha taste. It's pretty sweet at base, but I told him to do less sweet so he adjusted the milk ratio for me. The drink is quite rich and thick but yum! VIBE The place is very much so grab and go so no seating (except for a very small bench). They have a roaster place where they make and process the beans to ship out. The bathroom is really clean. Very cute small place. SERVICE Service is amazing. The people are really nice and good at giving suggestions based off of what people prefer to drink. We had a couple of gift cards to redeem, so we came to the Interurban location to buy a bag of coffee. The two guys that worked there were very friendly and answered all of our questions. Hubby, the coffee drinker in our family, told them that he usually enjoys a medium 'breakfast blend' type of roast. They directed us to the Wush Wush Ethiopian coffee on the bottom shelf. Hey, if nothing else, it sure was fun to say! We tried the coffee the following morning. The coffee smelled really good and had a very unique flavor. It was a rare batch as the guys at the counter said they only roasted 30 bags of this particular blend. I went to Eiland to get pour over coffee.They had a special blend that was being used for pour over. I got one and asked if I could get a drip coffee for free, instead they said I can get samples in like flight of coffee so they gave me the two drip coffees and a nitro cold brew in small sample cups. plus I asked if I could get the coffee grounds from the pour over to use on my plants, they said sure. Then I saw a staff member saran Wrap something. I Said what are you doing? she said wrapping up some coffee grounds for you to use on your plants. she was so nice, her name is Emily. I didn't ask her to do that but she did it, I was so happy, plus to see how she knew to get more coffee grinds for me was so sweet. read more

Awesome place for a quick coffee stop. The shop is little but has a variety of merchandise. They have a good selections of coffee beans from different origin. We tried the pour over Ethiopian and it was pretty smooth. The flavors has slight sour and funk to it. It's lightly aromatic and not overly crazy. A small local roastery and coffee shop near Chinatown in Richardson, I had Eiland on my to try list for a while. Unfortunately our experience was a little disappointing. Due to COVID-19 they are only accepting online orders with curbside. I was happy to see that! I ordered an iced mocha latte with non dairy milk. Husband ordered cold brew. When were parked out front, we called to let them know we arrived. At that time they informed us the mocha can only be iced with whole milk, or I could have a hot latte. I opted for the iced whole milk latte but of course I had already paid the extra dollar for the non dairy add on. The only reason I can think for this would be if the mocha was premade and just dumped in a cup. My mocha wasn't very good, it was very heavy on the chocolate. It had a gritty/powdery/sludgy texture. I probably wouldn't order anything flavored here again. My husband's cold brew was fine, but it tasted more like a simple iced coffee than a rich cold brew. For $6 a drink, we were expecting more- in quality, in size, and in ability to customize your drink. I really wish I could give this place more stars but we just didn't have a great experience. read more

I have only used their mail-order but I hope to visit their location one day. We have used them at my place of work and I have enjoyed it although we just do drip coffee and we have poor quality filters. During the lockdown I ordered their Ethiopian sidamo-ardi, they have a good deal where you get free shipping if you buy two pounds or more. At home I make pour-over and I prefer Hario V60. This coffee is one of the best Ethiopian coffee's that I've had. It's smooth, enough fruitiness without taking away any other flavors. After a sip, the flavor stays with you for several seconds. It's highly recommended if you like Ethiopian coffee. Some colleagues also likes this coffee for cold brews but I haven't tried it yet. I'm planning on trying some other kinds though to see how big the difference is at home with pour-over! read more

I stopped by here after my workout looking for a good cup of coffee to go with my breakfast. The first thing I will say, this is the absolute best coffee I ever had. I love my Mochas. This was so damn good. I can't really explain why, but almost everything about it impressed me. I say almost only because their large is 16 oz which to me is always a let down. This is a hole in the wall coffee shop in a back alley warehouse district in Richardson. The first time we came here, we drove right past it three times trying to find the place. I admit that the third time was partially our fault for not paying enough attention. For parking, there are three spots out front. If those are filled, then just park along the street. In interior is tiny. If the three spots out front are filled, then it is going to be crowded inside. There is usually just one person taking orders and making drinks. They will usually pull another person out when it gets really really busy. The menu is on the blackboard when you first walk in. In addition to making coffee, they also sell coffee beans. The staff are always super friendly and accommodating. To order, walk up to the register, order, pay, then walk off to the side to wait for your drink. Since the place is tiny, just try to stand somewhere where you aren't blocking others. Sometimes, the barista will make a few drinks first before taking the next batch of orders. The other customers who visit are usually pretty pleasant as well. I have had one experience during which we were in line a bit too far away from the register and someone, who just came in, cut in front of us in line. However, once they realized their mistake after ordering (and after being made fun of by everyone), they tried everything to make it up to us. It was amusing, so we let bygones be bygones. I usually get the Kyoto cold brew (for $5). I like it because it is guaranteed to keep me awake 1 PM to bedtime. You cannot get it without ice (unfortunately). I'm so glad to have found this hidden gem in Richardson area. Everything about this place is amazing - be the people inside, coffee variations and the coffee roasting smells. Me and my husband were hosted by Kassie, she's a wonderful barista. While making coffee, she kept taking to us, asking about us and also giving some of her background information. Every time I walk in to this place, there is a positive energy which enlightens the place. I highly recommend trying their latte, it's not super milky and you get the right hint of coffee. There was limited seating and parking at the location I went to but like I said, this location was more of a pickup and go. Everyone was super friendly even with how busy it was when I got there. I ordered a latte and some espresso chocolate which came out to $7. I enjoyed the latte even though I usually like my coffee sweeter than sweet. They're a small operation, but they provide some quality flavors and roasting is superb. . One of the perks of buying a bag of coffee is that they give you a free coffee. That's a nice little touch. There's about 3 parking spaces in front and just enough room for 3 people to stand in the front of their shop. The coffee is good and strong, so kudos to that! read more
