Miznon is a absolute gem for this area. The only mediterranean resturant that offers extremely fresh ans grass fed meats. They make every single thing on the menu by hand. They come in several hours before opening everyday to prep each and every item on the menu by hand. The folded cheese burger is incredible and a different take on a normal cheeseburger. I'd get this over any regular burger any day of the week. The fish and chips is something you wouldn't expect, in the best way possible. The favor is unreal, and just super delicious. I think that's the most slept on dish here. It will be the fan favorite soon enough. Levi and Andy are incredible behind the bar. They are super attentive and make some incredible drinks. We also had the pleasure to meet the owner. He's incredible friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable of the entire menu. Me and my friend went in on a Wednesday night to catch the RNB vibes bcus we seen it was lit on TikTok. Now there wasn't a crowd there possibly bcus it was cold but the food and guitarist there didn't disappoint! We went for the vibes but we really went for the food, let's be honest! The FOH manager Levi was super cool, he explained the menu, and gave some really good suggestions. I had the Candy Steak and it was so tender and flavorful! He also recommended the Lamb Kebab (that my friend got) the Run Over Potato that is literally a smashed potato but the olive oil and sauce is such a hit I promise you won't be disappointed. If you like Mediterranean food, this is your spot. The interior is cute and I love that it's open late. I cannot rave enough about the ribeye pita!!! I've come here a few times since and have ordered that alone. Unfortunately, I didn't like the hummus much as it didn't have a lot of flavor. My wife and I ate at this restaurant for the first time today. First and foremost, the customer service was incredible! Even though you have to seat yourself and order at the cashier, we were immediately greeted and they even gave us a free appetizer of beets and crème fraiche that they had an extra of. I am not a fan of beets but I ate the whole thing and actually enjoyed it. I ordered two pitas and a hummus and it came out to almost exactly $60. They were about to add a $9.99 gratuity fee, but they took that away. Not sure what this was about. I would give this place 4 stars because I believe there is room for improvement on the food end. The pita was slightly gummy, and the sandwich was pretty messy. I was expecting something a little better and more refined for the price we payed considering there is a lot of great Mediterranean spots in town. However, while we were eating our meal they gave us free tiramisu to thank us for coming in. It was very unexpected and you can tell they really care for their customers. My wife and I were noticing there was some local viral attention being put on to Miznon, and being middle eastern, and Israeli, food enthusiasts, we knew we had to check it out. Upon entering the restaurant, the only thing I found truly distracting was the insanely loud techno music their DJ was playing at noon on a Saturday. I know it sounds like I'm old, but we couldn't even have a conversation with how loud it was in there. I will say that our server was very patient with us while we browsed the menu and provided excellent customer service. The Hummus and Pita plate was exceptional. It was truly some of the best pita we ever had. Warm, fluffy, and pillowy. It was a real treat. The hummus was pretty good too, kinda felt like they put a little too much olive oil on it that made the hummus turn kinda soupy. Not sure if that's traditional or not, but the flavor was spot on. The Roasted Cauliflower was also magnificent. It ate kind of the salty side but I was here for it because a vegetable as bland as cauliflower needs that extra salt punch. However they seasoned it besides the salt truly elevated the humble cauliflower into something very special. It was cooked perfectly fork tender without being mushy too. My wife ordered the Run Over Potato, which is literally a flattened baked potato topped with more of their amazing seasoning and their unique sour cream. Though it tasted pretty good, it was kind of a bizarre eating experience. That one was kind of a one and done. My Ribeye Minute Steak Pita was pretty dang good. Pretty hard to find anything wrong with it. The steak had this gamey flavor to it that made it taste more like lamb, but still, all around pretty delicious. Prior to going I did a little research and saw this place was pretty popular on certain days and they also offer a reverse happy hour, which I love because not many places offer this. Let me say, the owner was simply amazing! He thoroughly explained all the menu items, as well as offering suggestions. I also loved that everything on the menu is fresh, never frozen and they get most ingredients from a local market. The first item we tried wad the hummus plate. Simply delicious!! The pita that is served with it literally melts in your mouth! It was fluffy and fresh! You can tell it's homemade. I originally ordered the lamb kabob pita, but I like my lamb a certain way so I replaced it with another pita. I'm very picky when it comes to lamb so I won't say anything bad about it because it was not distasteful, just not of my liking. The present was good!! The second pita I tried was bomb, 10 out of 10 would recommend! It was the ribeye minute steak. The steak was cooked perfectly and the slices of meat were a good size. This pita was filled with so much flavor and it had a slight kick to it. I really enjoyed this one. The drinks were pretty good, I wasn't a fan of the rosemary in my margaritas though. Really Chef Eyal? Eyzeh booshah. So disappointing. Why doesn't anyone give a sh*t about food quality anymore? I was so excited to finally try the food at Miznon and I will never come back. We ordered take out - a falafel mezze, schnitzel, and side of hummus. The falafel balls were RAW. I had to finish cooking them in the oven @340* for 30 min. The T'china was way too thick and lacked garlic, parsley and lemon. The schnitzel was overcooked, dry, and under seasoned. The lemon cabbage had no lemon. It was also thrown together like crap, much like a fast food sandwich. The Pita was microwaved or put in a sauna or something? I don't know. Definitely not heated in an oven/ dry heat like it's supposed to be. The cost was astronomical considering the lack quality control and care. There was absolutely no love put into this food. As a Jewish/Israeli woman who has grown up cooking and eating this food my whole life I am appalled. Is there a head chef or manager tasting this food? Is anyone paying attention? Does anyone care? Or is this really the best you can do? Maybe it is. Maybe I expect too much. If you are looking for authentic Israeli food, don't eat here. Visited Miznon on Saturday night with some friends. The place itself is pretty large, there is a good amount of seating inside and outside. The bar is aesthetic. The interior is interesting, they've thrown green chilies all over the place. No really, these peppers are EVERYWHERE. Miznon is an order in the front, grab your own table/water/cups type of place. That being said, we were very surprised to see an automatic 18% gratuity added to our bill. When one of our friends asked why this was the case, they said "we only do this on the weekends." Mind you, you are grabbing your own table, ordering in the front, getting your own water and napkins, similar to a chipotle or cava, seems a little silly to tip 18% for that. At minimum, they should have a sign or something that transparently disclosed this versus having customers discover this on their bill after the fact. Disappointing. But moving on to the food. Between the 6 of us, we got 6 pita pockets, 2 baked potato's, 1 cauliflower and 1 hummus. Long story short, we don't recommend any of the appetizers. They were tasteless and honestly went to waste. The baked potato's and cauliflower were especially flavorless and overpriced for about $9-12 starter. The pita pockets on the other hand were decent in taste. At around $18-22 a pop, you'd think they have more meat or were created with more sauce. The end of my chicken pocket was pretty dry/flavorless. All in all, likely won't be back at Miznon. These NYC prices for mediocre food will be hard to compete with smaller more affordable places in Dallas. read more

The inside is spacious. They were a bit busy when we got there, and the server let me know that when I walked in the door. He also told me I could order at the counter or bar if he took too long to come by our table. We ordered the hummus, an old fashioned and the sumagarita. Let's talk about the hummus. I would return just for the hummus. I am a hummus snob, and this is the best hummus I have ever had. It was super creamy and flavorful. The pita was soft and fluffy. I want to go back right now. They have a lot of veggie dishes also. The drinks were good, but nothing to rave about. The bathroom was clean and the toilet paper was thick. If you enjoy hummus, I definitely recommend you go here. Unique taste and made fresh to order - deliciousness in every bite. As a vegetarian, I love all the vegetarian options. The ambiance is casual and modern. Prices are affordable. I had the opportunity to meet the owner, Jude, he was very genuine and passionate about bringing this new concept of innovative Mediterranean street food. Could not recommend this restaurant more- Great addition to Deep Ellum! Not only is the food 10/10, but the atmosphere and ambiance stands out. There was great music playing the entire time we were eating that was loud and fun but we were still able to talk at our table which is much appreciated. The staff was great and went out of your way to make sure everyone was enjoying themselves. Service was very quick despite how busy the restaurant was. We got the hummus, original baby cauliflower, chicken pita, lamb pita, rib eye pita, and the lavan pita. There wasn't a single thing on the menu we disliked. The pita bread is one of the best we have ever tried! It is light and fluffy but does not fall apart when eating. As far as drinks go, highly recommend "The K" and the Arak mojito! I really wanted to give this place a chance, but the level of disregard and unprofessionalism was overwhelming. My friend and I were excited to visit after seeing a TikTok post from the DJ (who was fantastic, by the way). We arrived around 7:30 and ordered food and drinks by 7:40, then settled in to enjoy the vibes. After waiting nearly an hour, my drink finally arrived around 8:30, and my food followed close to 9:00--cold. I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and waited patiently to ask a server if they could just reheat my meal. Unfortunately, no one came by. Meanwhile, my friend was still waiting for her food, so at 9:30, we flagged down a server who was apologetic and said she'd notify the manager. She issued my friend a refund, took my plate to the kitchen, and returned about 20 minutes later with a new entrée. However, the replacement meal was visibly old and dry. When I approached the manager directly, he openly admitted it didn't look fresh, apologized, and promised a refund. He even offered a complimentary shot and said he'd return with my refund receipt. But after waiting again, he never came back. When I finally located him, I explained that if he couldn't process the refund, I'd just take the food instead. He apologized once more and promised it would be right out, but another 30 minutes passed with no food and no follow-up. Watching him check on every other table but ours was truly disheartening. I can't express how disappointing this experience was. We came here for a fun evening and to show support, but the lack of respect and care left me feeling hurt and ignored. Eventually, I went up again to request my refund ticket and finally received it before leaving. This experience was not just disappointing but personally hurtful. We came in with so much goodwill, only to leave with an overwhelmingly negative impression. This place has a lot of potential. The ambiance and DJ were fantastic, and we came in eager to support what looked like a great spot. But this experience highlighted some areas for improvement in customer service and respect for patrons' time and concerns. I hope management can take this feedback to heart, as small efforts to follow through with guests can make a huge difference in creating memorable experiences. I'd love to come back one day, hopefully to find these issues resolved and to enjoy the full potential this spot has to offer. read more

ZERO STARS i sat at the bar and ordered the lamb pita, listed at $18 on the menu. the total i was charged was $23.08. that is because every check at this corporate, yuppie excuse of a restaurant ADDS A "DELIVERY FEE" OF 20%. i have no problem being charged a 20% gratuity TIP. as i often intend to tip over 20% anyways. but a delivery fee for dining in at the bar is THEFT. the walls in this establishment look like a class of kindergarteners were given a few boxes of chalk and let loose in the place. the food lacked any resemblance of flavor and the texture of the pita was gummy and soggy. i wouldn't recommend this place even to my most affluent enemy. read more

First Miznon experience last week, and it was certainly an interesting one. First of all, we hate the overall "we're so cool vibe" that the place was decorated in with those dumb slogans on the wall. We like the open layout and the spicy peppers everywhere, but everything else felt like it was trying (too hard) to seem hip and trendy, and when you do that, you are NOT hip and trendy. Second thing: we were literally the ONLY people in the restaurant for several hours. We had no idea how this place is going to survive at that pace... We liked the drinks that we started with--some good local beers and their house margarita with cucumber. We shared a bunch of food and most of it was pretty excellent (there are some caveats): --Bag of green beans: these are blanched green beans with a bit of EVOO, lemon, and salt that are served cold. You could make them at home in 5 seconds, but there were a limited amount of greens/salads on the menu, shockingly, so we went with it. --Hummus: desperately needed salt. Asked for some and they were absolutely gobsmacked at the request and ended up coming out with these tiny little pebbles of salt. Quite odd! The dish was great otherwise. BUT the pita that it was served with was obviously reheated (which makes sense given that we could see everything going on in the kitchen; it was slightly stale, which is just embarrassing for a place like this). --Chicken schnitzel sandwich: possibly our favorite dish of the evening. Just a perfect balance of textures, flavors, etc. Simply wonderful. --Falafel pita: bland but fine. Amateur move making the falafel more like a burger than spheres--because you're losing so much surface area crunch. --Bag of meat (ugh, such a dumb name). Very good; again, clearly reheated, but we were fine with it because it might some more crispy edges. --"World famous" cauliflower: Our seven year old was even baffled by this claim to fame because it's essentially just a nicely roasted cauliflower after being cooked in some kind of liquid bath. Served with tahini and zhug. It's good, but do not expect fireworks. We do want to shoutout the service that we got: it was beyond stellar. The guys working were so sweet and friendly and accommodating. Granted, we were the only folks in the restaurant, but we got the vibe from them that that's just how they operated. We're both Israeli-American and want this place to succeed, but it seems like they have corporate orders (given how many Miznons there are worldwide) and they are sticking to them. Even still, we liked our meal for the most part and would definitely come back again next time that we're in town. read more

We found this place in Las Vegas and loved it, We were so excited to find one in Deep Ellum on our way to a concert. This time around, I decided to try the Lavan cauliflower in a pita, and it was spectacular! My wife had the folded cheese burger. She must have loved it because she didn't offer me a bite. In Las Vegas we started with the hummus, if the pita wasn't straight from the oven it wasn't out very long. It was soft, thick and pillowy. Perfect for the hummus. I had the chicken livers in a pita, which were slightly pink in the center. They were perfect. My wife had the lamb kabob in the pita. The lamb was flavorful with the right amount of "salad " in the pita to make it a meal. We went early on a Friday evening, the place had a nice crowd and a DJ was setting up. They also charged us 20% Gratuity for a table for two (maybe they knew we are never coming back again.
