I've been here a few times on Saturday nights for Latin night. It is one of the best spots for dancing. They have two sides one raggaeton and the other a mix of salsa bachata and merengue. They also do classes on Saturday around 10. The bar service was great too. We had a bartender who took great care of us just beware they do charge tip automatically, i almost missed that. The food and service was incredible, and I loved sitting on the patio with a lovely view of the theme park off in the distance. Hamza, greeted me and made sure I was well fed and even had a great discussion and shared insights with each other as if we were old friends. Oiled and topped with a dabble of fattoush! Served with triangles of pita, piping hot! Needed no extra seasoning, just wishing for a spicy version to complete my wildest spicy hummus dreams. Don't skip out on the cheese rolls. Filled with feta and fried *drools*. Pro tip: dip those babies in your hummus, NOW!!! Lastly, my awesome waitress Liya recommended all the kebabs. So I went for surf and turf pairing. Shrimp and Steak served over a bed of rice... steak perfectly cooked. So tender I pulled it apart with my fingers. Out server Andrew never came back yo check on us to ask if we needed more water or another drink, but he made sure to charge 20% tip to out check at the end. Driving down the road to this place, you worry if it's sketchy but worry not, it's very nice once you see the building! It was a pretty white beach looking building with a great patio, lots of parking and well lit so I never felt unsafe. Heads up, this place is DRESS CODE enforced when it's evening time so either come earlier or come prepared. I wanted hookah and my friend wanted a drink. So we ended up here, one of the few places around Arlington that have both. The hookah was smooth, minty and the service was good/experienced! We had Josh as our server and hope we can get him every time we visit bc he was a good server and great conversation. They had other staff making rounds to help as well. Never needed to wait or ask for much. We tried the hummus w beef and it was delicious. I'll try an entree in the future. The inside had two big dance floors as well. One more catered to authentic Latino music and the other for more variety of music so something for everyone! Ok so I do recomend this place. Entrance price is $10 for men and woman. Drinks are pricey for me. For a rum and Coke drink was $12 and a bucket of beer was $100. Good moving music. Does get a bit crowded but good thing is they have tables for like reservations. I had a blast for my friends bday. Restroom were clean and the waitress for drink were very attentive. Great spot to listen to Latin music on a weekend. I have been here a couple of times with friends to listen to some good music and have a couple of drinks. On this last visit we arrived at midnight and they were charging $5 for guys and girls were free. We quickly found a table and set up shop. They have two large dance floors, they play reggeaton at one and salsa/merengue/bachata at the other. There are two large bars one on each side of the restaurant. Service is hit or miss here especially once music starts so we always go to the bar for our drink needs. Drink prices are decent and match what you would find at most dance clubs. My only complaint is that one of the bar tenders is pushy with tips so I usually skip the bar he's at. We have had food here in the past and it was good. No major complaints with the little we have tried. We did ask about hookah and they said they were not selling it tonight which was disappointing. Overall this is one of the few spots playing Latin music that is not super packed. I highly recommend if your in the area looking for a decent spot to dance. read more

I have been to the one in Addison and was quite impressed. My experienced at this location is even more exciting. The first time I came to their grand opening, they had the "Violin Guy" and it rocked! The staff is super nice and very accommodating. There after I came here probably another 5 times which I decided to write this review. The last 5 times it has been a very good experiences. The dance floor is super clean and they have several. One night we had 10 of us and they open the back dance floor with hip hop music with an awesome DJ just for us. They go above and beyond to make sure you have a great night. Go hungry because you cannot leave without trying their mint Mojito and the wide variety of menu. My bf loves the Lamb chop and by far his favorite. If you plan to have a party, this is very entertaining with Bella dancers, salsa dancing, and DJ all under one roof. Also the whole place had amazing LED lighting all over that shines on the dance floor. You will not go wrong with any of their hookah selection. I purchased a Groupon for this place so I was a little inhibited about the quality-- we went on a Wednesday night and it was dead. ..with that said -- the food was delicious! We were promptly greeted/seated and looked over the menu. I start my judging process with kabob -- I ordered the chicken kabob... wow-- the chicken was succulent and well seasoned. The rice was moist with hints of flavor. The garlic sauce was robust. My friend ordered the lamb kabob -- it was also tender and well seasoned. The hummus and pita were equally tasty. The plate also came with roasted tomatoes and onions. .. mmm mmm good! This place isn't around the corner for me, but I'll be back for food this good. However, the food in our opinion wasn't worth more than two stars. The shawarma plates we had consisted of 1/2 of rice, 1/4 potatoes and 1/4 chicken. Unfortunately the chicken was dry and not very flavorful. At least a little bit of yogurt sauce would have went a long way! Al-Amir I arrived at 11:00 pm and was greeted by valet ($7) or park yourself in the back of the club for free. Went inside and paid $10 for 2 people. It's huge inside... with many different options to have fun. Dance floor (you could also dance anywhere you'd like) bar area with tables and chairs. A dine in booth area. An outside patio area. Outside is where you can smoke and hookah ($20). They had heat lamps on this 65 degree Texas night! The crowd was diverse. Music was mostly Hispanic inspired (mixture of old and new) They serve food until 1 am! I had shrimp kabobs ($20 & delicious!) and soda ($3). They serve drinks as well. At the end of the night my bill was around $50! I had a great time and look forward to going again! read more

My friends and I visited Al-Amir for their latin night (SABADOS DE GOZADERA). There are two separate rooms and outdoor seating as well. We first walked in and IDs are checked. Ladies are free, guys are $10 depending on when you get in. Since it was their latin night, one room was reggaeton, bachatat and cumbia, the other was salsa, merengue and bachata. The crowd slightly varied depending on the room. Younger crowd in the reggaeton room and older crowd in the salsa room. I love both being half Dominican so we bounced back and forth. We made friends with one of the bartenders in the reggaeton room so we stayed in their longer. He was really fun an approachable. He tried showing us how he swirled the napkins on the bar and let us try it out haha! The dance floor gets pretty crowded. The other side of the bar was being helped by a younger woman. She took a long time to get to us for drinks though we were standing there trying to get her attention multiple times. Towards the end of the night I had to have waited about 10 minutes while she kept skipping me. I ended up not getting a drink because I was frustrated with her. Since this is a restaurant during earlier business hours, they have multiple tables throughout the rooms. I feel as though they should move some tables to utilize the space better at night time. Bartenders were VERY rude. I went with a friend for dancing, it's super hot and yet the bartender refused to give us tap water when asked. She would only sell us a bottle of water and when I asked for water in a cup she walked away and stood at the other end of the bar. It wasn't full, and I can see why. We had dinner there and I had had alcohol, so we had spent money there. That's the first and last time I spend a dollar at this place. They also allow smoking inside. Awesome staff. I went on Thursday night just for drinks and a hookah. Usually I go to Souk or Baboosh, but wasn't up for the drive. Anyway, when I arrived it was empty except for the staff. I ordered a peach mint hookah and a Margarita. Firstly, the hookah was not $10 as advertised online, they tried to hit me for $20. The Margarita was absolutely terrible. I changed it out for a well drink. Finally, the food was so bland. I ordered salmon in a garlic cream sauce with vegetables. This dish tasted watered down and bland. There was no flavor at all. Delicious food and good prices. Tips for owners- You need barstools at the bar by the dance floor. People prefer to sit at a bar and it draws a crowd. #2 it's too bright in there. the lights need to be much more dim especially because your so new and too much light makes the place look empty. hookah lounge = mysterious and dark! I highly recommend the combo kabob. It's was well worth the price I paid for it. The rice was some of the best rice I have had at a restaurateur hands down. The atmosphere was wonderful and the music and belly dancers were great. If you like to smoke hookah I would highly recommend the here as well. The only negative thing is the parking lot was small and if you don't get a seat early you will have trouble finding a parking place. I passed by this place during the week and noticed that they are finally open in Arlington! I was pretty excited about it since my bf and I have been to the one in Addison and we really enjoyed it, so I decided to surprise my him with dinner here this past Saturday. The food was amazing, we both had the Chicken Shawarma very flavorful no complaints there. After our dinner we ordered a couple of drinks and a hookah Lemon Chill flavor which was pretty good, but my mixed drinks were pretty weak I probably should have just took shots instead or maybe just stick to drinking beer/wine. I was really excited about watching the belly dancer show that they have but apparently we missed it even though we got there at about 9PM. The one in Addison had 2 shows and its on there website that on Fridays and Saturdays they have shows at 8:30pm and 10:30pm I assumed it would be the same at this location but I was wrong and we missed it. If you would like to see this show I would recommend that you call them to check what the show times are. They did have a DJ and the music was pretty good the only thing is that there wasn't much of a crowd and I'm sure that's due to the fact that its a fairly new place and not very many people know its open just yet, but we definitely had an awesome time and will be going back.
