    The Beef Kebab dinner.
    Dan D.

We went there tonight on a Groupon. Eddie took fantastic care of us. I know he's at least the manager and maybe the owner. Service was great and the food was fantastic and we actually got out cheaper than what we thought. If you haven't been there. Do yourself a favor and try it. We also had some kind of spicy pita bread that we dipped in some kind of white sauce for appetizer that was fantastic.

Finally!!!! Al-Amir has been in my hometown of Arlington, TX for over 35 years!!!! S/O to Hamza for dropping the knowledge! If you wondering, they do have a Dallas location. Both places in the afternoon... the roof is jumping off the building! You'll hear some Latin, techno vibes while dining. I found myself dancing a few times to some Selena... "I'll do anything for Selena's!!!" The watermelon martini was good! Embodied the perfect watermelon. The Hummus is the perfect creamy, consistent texture! No lumps and just so smooth. Oiled and topped with a dabble of fattoush! Served with triangles of pita, piping hot! Needed no extra seasoning, just wishing for a spicy version to complete my wildest spicy hummus dreams. Don't skip out on the cheese rolls. Filled with feta and fried *drools*. Pro tip: dip those babies in your hummus, NOW!!! Lastly, my awesome waitress Liya recommended all the kebabs. So I went for surf and turf pairing. Shrimp and Steak served over a bed of rice... steak perfectly cooked. So tender I pulled it apart with my fingers. Shrimp tender and both were juicy with the perfect grill marks and char!! Most importantly, everything is cooked fresh, daily!!! And you can taste it in the food. Def will be back. In my opinion, better than Princes!

    Hummus w beef! Tasty

Driving down the road to this place, you worry if it's sketchy but worry not, it's very nice once you see the building! It was a pretty white beach looking building with a great patio, lots of parking and well lit so I never felt unsafe. Heads up, this place is DRESS CODE enforced when it's evening time so either come earlier or come prepared. I wanted hookah and my friend wanted a drink. So we ended up here, one of the few places around Arlington that have both. The hookah was smooth, minty and the service was good/experienced! We had Josh as our server and hope we can get him every time we visit bc he was a good server and great conversation. They had other staff making rounds to help as well. Never needed to wait or ask for much. We tried the hummus w beef and it was delicious. I'll try an entree in the future. The inside had two big dance floors as well. One more catered to authentic Latino music and the other for more variety of music so something for everyone! This place might be on the pricey end but I feel we got what we paid for plus, hookah and food is shareable so very worth it. Had lots of fun here and plan to be back.

    Chicken kabob platter

I purchased a Groupon for this place so I was a little inhibited about the quality-- we went on a Wednesday night and it was dead. ..with that said -- the food was delicious! We were promptly greeted/seated and looked over the menu. I start my judging process with kabob -- I ordered the chicken kabob... wow-- the chicken was succulent and well seasoned. The rice was moist with hints of flavor. The garlic sauce was robust. My friend ordered the lamb kabob -- it was also tender and well seasoned. The hummus and pita were equally tasty. The plate also came with roasted tomatoes and onions. .. mmm mmm good! This place isn't around the corner for me, but I'll be back for food this good. I'll update to five stars once I try more things and see consistency.

Whats the dress code for weekends?

It's dressy , since it's a dancing place they require dress shoes for men you see them in a collar shirt and jeans and women wear dresses or skirts , jeans and a cute top with heels. Some a little skimpier than others lol

We've eaten there on site and had big family packs to go. The food is always great. You feel like you're in a different cultural setting than most American restaurants. Located in Arlington, the restaurant is divided in 2 sections and the place has quite a casual and local vibe We, a party of 5 were immediately seated and the server aptly took our order. As we were famished, we ordered..a lot: -Mazza Plate -Falafel -Fries -Gyro Special Plate -2 Chicken Shawarma(Bank Special) plate (comes with Rice, Hummus, Tzatziki sauce and Pita) -Falafel Plate - Gyro Sandwich Dessert: -Baklava -Burma Since we love spicy, we asked for our food to be spiced up. 5-10 mins later, the food began to arrive. First impression was the portion size was huge. At the onset we knew we ordered too much. The Mazza plate was amazing with assortment of Middle-Eastern appetizers i.e. hummus, babaganoush, tabouli salad, dolmas, with kalamata olives and pita. We absolutely loved the dimas and the hummus and pita bread was fresh. The Shawarma plates were pretty decent and the chicken and gyro meats were well cooked and seasoned, however the spicy sauce they use was a bit more on the tangy side than on spicy side. Which was a let down. Falafels we crunchy and were pretty decent. The fries however were huge let down. They were too oily and the taste of overused oil was pretty evident. The best part for us were the desserts. The Baklava was great but the Burma blew us away. The roasted Cashes and angel hair with honey was truly delicious. To Foodies: This is quite a famous place for middle easter food, main reason being it was covered by The food network. Do try their Shawarma Plate , especially Gyro plate, it is pretty awesome. Also the quantity is good. However, I would recommend to stay away from fries or be careful of deep fried items. Do try the desserts, you'll fall in love. Overall, it is a good place but I have had much better. May be the standards have gone down a bit over the years. To Management: You have a wonderful staff, good location and the food is pretty decent..However I'd recommened to keep a check on your oil used for deep fried stuff. The fries were a huge let down. One bite and i frlt that bad taste of oil at the back of my throat. Also please revamp your spicy sauce a bit. Too much vinegar. Overall Rating: 6.5/10 Signing off Rahul V.S. aka CanIndian Foodie

Well I hope it is isolated and not because they are growing too fast. I'd give 3.5 stars for this visit if I could. There was more staff than I've ever seen before however things seemed a little chaotic. One waitress rushed by the counter and knocked straws all over the floor - she saw she did it and didn't stop or come back to pick them up - one of the guys picked them up when he went by. There was a table that was uncleared nearly our entire meal - and the plates still had some food on them which I thought was unusual (I'm used to seeing clean plates or to-go bags). Our waitress was chaotic - hyper, rushed, and distracted. Not giving normal Fattoush vibes. The hummus was delicious as usual. Beautiful, & velvety. Their hummus has become my standard for what it should be. The grape leaves were extremely tart - tasted like a mouth full of vinegar. I haven't ordered them in a while and am hoping this is not a recipe change. Finished one & couldn't eat any more. The garlic dip was tamed way down. Made me sad because I like the stronger garlic. Again, hoping this is a one-off. An owner at another local establishment had told me that many tame it down because of the American palate. I can understand needing to find that balance of staying authentic vs please customers but I'm going to need the secret password to get the real stuff! Lol. (But seriously - if you know it, please let me know!) After trying their burger awhile back, my Mom hasn't been able to order anything but that as her entree. It is great. Steak fries are same as straight up American steak fries and good. She said next time she'll get the sauce on the side because it was heavy handed this time and overpowered the delicious meat. Bun wasn't holding up as it usually does. The chicken shish tawook was good as always however I was missing the bite from garlic dip. I love their rice! They have great yellow rice too. My husband and I shared and had some to bring home for one lunch. I got a piece of Iraqi bread because I've never ordered it before- it was really good! Served warm and bigger than large dinner plate. On our way out, while we were checking out the beautiful patio and new area to come, we had a 5 STAR moment when we saw Chef Bashar. I asked him if he'd consider doing a borek appetizer sometime as we had a delicious cigar (bc it was rolled) borek at a place in Dallas. He was very open to the idea and said they will be having 2 different menus when the new concept opens and adding more vegetable options. He also noticed my husband looking at the Palastine Cola in the drink case and told him to take one home and try. I thought this was extremely nice and generous. I look forward to continuing to support this great local business and believe this night was just an off night.
