So opt to order inside. $28 two meals. One meal without fries. Fries are expensive $5 to add. Ordered the mixed chicken/beef quesadilla style shawarma. $15.50 online. It's BIGGG. She said she liked the beef better and it was okay. It came with fries. I believe what I got was the Fried Zinger Chicken Wrap. $10.75 online. It did not come with fries. I wanted to like it but the chicken was so hard. I had to bite on the side of my mouth. My front two teeth couldn't handle some of it. Flavor wise it was okay, but it was toooooo hard. I recommend the "over rice" meals; my favorite being the shawarma or falafel or kebobs. I last ordered the grilled chicken kebobs: 5 good-sized cubes of grilled chicken over Vermicelli or yellow rice, served with a side salad of diced tomatoes and onions, yellow corn, jalapeños, chickpeas, and black olives. Served with garlic sauce. It's all really delicious -- the rice is well seasoned and fluffy, the chicken is moist and has that fiery grill taste, the salad produce is all crisp and fresh, and the garlic sauce is something you'll wish you got more of. They also have wraps, gyros, stuffed grape leaves, fries, and quesadillas. Fantastic hummus and pita. Fried kibbeh. Fried cauliflower. All kinds of delectable halal goodies. My kids love the chicken sandwich with "white sauce" and lettuce, they're rice is so buttery in the rice platter. The only thing is be careful when ordering this place from any source other than actually inside the store. They're prices are different on their website, different on Yelp, GrubHub, Uber Eats, DoorDash. They're different everywhere and quite a lot more expensive than if you were to order in the location in Arlington. Ordering inside is SIGNIFICANTLY less pricey, which is weird....... I didn't realize this was a chain, going in. There appeared to only be one man working but he is very friendly and working fast. I had a minute to check out the menu and ordered a chicken kabob sandwich. He replied back to me chicken shwarma sandwich. Ok. Maybe they didn't have any chicken kabobs. I like shwarma. It is a wrapped sandwich in a giant tortilla that they stick under a press to crisp up the outside. The chicken was not on a spit, but was precooked and kept in a warming tray. It came with the garlic sauce and pickles. It was hot and makes for a hefty sandwich. He also threw in a baklava in my to go bag. The chicken was hot but a bit dry and had a heavy clove flavor. I really like the pickles and the garlic sauce was tasty. The tortilla has a good crisp to it, but I prefer a softer pita wrap. It has a higher price point than the independent places popping up all over Arlington. My lunch was good, but it didn't rock my socks like some of the other options in the area. The food is good, but the service is horrible. I walked in with my wife, ordered two beef Arabi shawarma. It took him 20 minutes to make then he gave us two chicken Arabi shawarma. When I told him that's not what we ordered and showed him the receipt, he LIED and said that he told me the beef wasn't ready. When he said that to me I let it go and ate my chicken shawarma. I really don't like chicken but I ate it anyway. He didn't offer us anything to make it better. He didn't try to make anything right. He just lied to my face. We drove 30 minutes to eat here. I speak Arabic so I would know if he said it in arabic or not. Anyway, the place is dirty. Customer service is horrible. I wish they would clean it up and be nice to their customers. Abu Omar just opened a brick and mortar location on Division Street. It's a chain with 16 locations, including numerous food trucks. The interior is spacious with counter service. There were several families dining. I ordered the Chicken Shawarma Sandwich to go. The service was fast. The sandwich went good with an afternoon beer. At $7.50 for a solo shawarma sandwich they're coming in kinda high in this neighborhood with so many lower-priced Mediterranean locations nearby. But, they stay open really late (the sign on the door noted 2AM closing), which is good seeing that the restaurants around here go dark pretty early. There's been a Subway (yuk!) in this space, and another Mediterranean restaurant that lasted like a month. I'm hoping this restaurant sticks. read more

They do buy one get one deals on UberEats. Had the falafel sandwich and it was good but a little dry so I dipped it in the white sauce (possibly tahini) that came with another persons meal and it was so good. I love that they grill both sides of the sandwich though. You can get beef or chicken shawarma, gyro, or fried chicken in 1 of 10 meal options. They also have kabobs over rice and falafel in several preparations. Hummus, salad, cauliflower, fries, grape leaves, and more come as sides. They also have baklava. They also have a selection of sauces. It's counter service. My beef shawarma was good. The fries were fine. I'm not a fan. I knew that. The falafel was great! When someone saw I didn't care for the sauce, he offered me tahina and also a banana. They were good too. I also took food to go/grape leaves, kibbe balls, and baklava. They were out of hummus today. I think there are 5 staff. They all spoke to me and were friendly. I'd come back.
