I stopped in for breakfast on a Sunday morning. I had dropped off my car at Pep Boys and I had some time to kill. I didn't know Kabob house served breakfast on the weekends. I'm all about a new culinary experience. I'm a Type 1 Diabetic which can make meal time challenging. The traditional breakfast offers an arrangement of various sauces, some are sweet. I had fig jam, date sauce, and honey that were not the best options for me, but they were good. I also had tahini sauce, and two types of yogurt. The staple dish of the meal was two eggs with a flavorful tomato sauce. I could have done a better job on the diabetic front. The date sauce and tahini combination is pretty good. The kebab house is a little gem in the area, and the restaurant is surrounded by other more traditional service providers of the Middle East. I especially love, what I referred to as, the nut and candy store that is a few doors down. The service was great, it was almost like sitting down for breakfast with someone else's family. Everyone in there was immediate family and working hard for one common purpose--our enjoyment. We came in for an early dinner and everything was fresh, it had not been just sitting there waiting from lunch. The food was well prepared and fresh. The people were wonderful. As American customers, they wanted to make sure that we tasted everything including a new dish they were trying. I couldn't tell you the name of it, but it was an eggplant dish, different than baba gnoush, very tasty. The beef kabobs were excellent. Best Persian food around. This place is great, a true hidden gem. I pass this place all the time and cant believe I never stopped by. This place has all you can eat buffet but also offer a la carte and take-out service. This place is small and humble but the food is amazing. The decor is outdated but dont let that fool you because that does not keep people from coming to eat here. I went on a saturday morning and the place was busy when i walked in. I got a table so no problem but as time went on i keep seeing more and more people walk in and all the tables were full. When the tables got full people would leave their name on the wait list for a table and before i left around 2pm there were maybe 4 people on that list. This place seems to be a social gathering place for the community because many people walking in would recognize a random person from a different table and they would say hi shake hands and some of them would even sit down with them to eat. Right before the place got wait listed several individuals would come into the restaurant and would sit wherever there was an open seat. Example I was by myself in a table with 3 open chairs and i had 2 random people who i never seen before sit down with me to eat. I only experience that in some restaurants outside of the us but honestly I kind of like it that way because you can get to know other people and their culture better by doing that. That day i went i probably saw 3 other tables of families have two complete strangers sit with them because there was no other room to sit. I think that is kinda cool but if its not your thing you ben warned. From what I saw the popular drink of choice is hot tea but they have drinks in cans from the fridge in the back. No fountain drinks so keep that in mind also no facemask or social distancing at the time of this review in the time of Covid october 2021. There was only one waitress in the whole restaurant and she was also the cashier so bring your understanding that she is doing her best to take care of everyone. Parking is free just find any spot in the parking lot but some businesses have a 'customer only' parking signs so watch out for those. The restaurant is closed on sundays so plan ahead. The food itself was tasty and well seasoned. The variety may not be the biggest but it makes up for it by how fresh it is made right there infront of you. You can see ino the kitchen from anywhere in the restaurant and you see the chefs making and grilling everything, the food goes straight from the stove to the buffet trays. The day I went the restaurant was constantly busy that food keept being made so it was always fresh and never dried out from sitting under the heat lamps like in other places. They have 2 kinds of rice, they have chicken, beef and two kinds of soup. I am not sure what each item was called because they have no lables on anything so if you have food allergies or cant eat certain things i would suggest coming here with caution on that department. Looking at previous reviews it looks like the restaurant changes its menu from time to time but i ate at the buffet so at this time I cannot confirm the items available. Also for one adult the buffet was $13.99 plus tax and it seems that is the everyday price, I think that is fair compare to how much other buffets charge that have more food choices. read more

Once again we was roaming around Arlington looking for something to eat, when we randomly pulled in here. Cool.. we've past this place for years, but never stopped!! You can tell they don't get many white folks here cuz the whole room looked at us like we was lost. Fine with me.. means food will be good! It was a buffet and thought husband would walk out cuz he doesn't like buffets..he didn't though and we all enjoyed what we ate. This is the first time I've tried an Iranian restaurant, so there are dishes that I've never tried before. The meat dishes were tender and the marinates were excellent. They were grilled on the spot, so they were hot and fresh. The grilled vegetables were the same. Normally, I'm not a big fan of salads, but everything tasted so fresh, I couldn't resist. My wife isn't a fan of "dolma" stuffed grape leaves, but the ones we had tasted much better - not acidic. The hummus was not as tasty as many Mediterranean restaurants, but then it could be the regional variation isn't as spicy. First I must say they were very kind and hospitable. The customer service here was amazing. I highly recommend to stop in here and eat for good hot comforting food and atmosphere. The buffet is straight forward. I tried everything. It was all really yummy and healthy. Oh and the tea; the hot tea in particular was so good I had two cups. I just sweetened it with sugar.
