While in Arlington went to lunch with some friends. What a lovely treat we brought a couple bottles of yummy white wine as BYOB. We started with a cold appetizer sampler and for the table mixed grill for 2 and the whole fish. The food was delicious, flavorful and fresh. Great server. The fish was my favorite moist and flaky came with a lite vinaigrette salad and rice simply delicious. Mixed grill was also very good with warm naan. Cute decor. Was like being in a local Turkish kitchen.

Cute place for a date night or meeting with friends. The menu is pretty straightforward which I appreciate. We were served pita bread and tzatziki sauce which was nice to enjoy while waiting for our meal. Landed on the Lamb Kebab which was a bit tough for me. I asked for medium and it came out well done. The rice was a bit underwhelming that came with the dish. Tasted like instant rice. I was hoping to get jasmine or basmati rice instead. After the meal, I decided to indulge with baklava and a Turkish coffee. Both were a win for me! Not sure if I'd come back here unfortunately.

We have been to this place in the past. Most recently, we went for lunch. They have a wonderful lunch special. It comes with an appetizer, an entree, and a drink. We started with Babaganoush and Hummus. It had slightly different taste than some of the Lebanese places in town. It was delicious. We then had the Turkish Meatballs and Beef Kabob. The service was prompt even though they were busy. The atmosphere was a little more upscale than fast casual. The food was delicious. Try the lunch special if you want to dip your feet in before jumping in. We will come back again.

Huge portions of delicious food. I come regularly with my family and always get the lunch special, including a drink, appetizer, and entree for $14.95 total. I always get water, hummus, and gyro. Love this restaurant!

We got a dip sampler and 2 chicken dishes with fresh pita!

Absolutely delicious food! I've been here twice and can't wait to go back again. The food is not only authentic but extremely fresh as well. The service was quick and was a great experience overall.

We like to stop here when we can for lunch since it's not too far from the office. The lunch special comes with an appetizer and an entree as well as a drink. I wanted to try the coffee and it wasn't part of the special but I'm glad i decided to get it. The coffee was similar to an espresso shot and It had great flavor. I started w the lentil soup this time and it was very good. My entree was chicken delight and it was a large portion that came w rice. I could have shared it based on portion size. The restaurant is super clean as well as the bathrooms and the service is always good. Will be back for lunch soon.

Best baklava you've ever had!

Istanbul is simply one of the best places for great Mediterranean food in Arlington. It's a classy sit down restaurant that's big on service and great food. Extensive menu with all the traditional favorites. The salmon kabob is out of this world! We always finish with Turkish coffee and desert.

Business was good with a short wait, but it was with it.

Food and service were outstanding. It has a very pleasing atmosphere. It was a little cool inside.

Ate here for the first time with my friend and we loved it. We ordered a Mixed Grill (plate of various meats with rice and roasted veggies) and the Mixed Cold appetizer (plate of various dipping sauces for your pita bread). These 2 dishes fed 2 grown hungry dudes and they were super flavorful, tender, juicy, and delicious. The dishes are quite pricey, but it's definitely worth enjoying these kinds of food once in a while. Lots of parking and tables to dine on. The staff are super friendly and fast. If I'm ever in the Arlington area again, we will definitely come again.

We were greeted and seated right away. Service throughout was warm and attentive, our server checked on us a few times to make sure everything was good. They started us with warm, crispy bread and a yogurt-based dip that was quite flavorful. I ordered the lamb shish kebab platter (well done), and we also tried the chicken shish kebab platter. Both came with buttery rice, a fresh salad drizzled with olive oil, and yogurt sauce. The chicken was tender and properly seasoned, but the lamb was the highlight. Lamb can easily turn dry or overly gamey if not handled right, but this was juicy, tender, and packed with flavor even when cooked well done, exactly how a good shish kebab should be. I skipped dessert this time, though they offer a few options, and I noticed what appeared to be a buffet setup, which I'm curious to try next. Overall, a solid, well executed Mediterranean meal. I'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu.

My husband and I hosted our rehersal dinner on the top floor of The Mayor's House on a Sunday…read moreevening in April, with a final guest count of 75--and it was truly perfect. We initially discovered the restaurant back in January when we dined there and immediately fell in love with the food, service, and atmosphere. That same night, we inquired about hosting a larger event (around 80 guests) and secured our April date with a deposit. From the very beginning, working with Jenna, the manager, was seamless. We communicated though text, which made planning easy and stress-free. Jenna curated a limited menu for our guests featuring popular dishes she personally recommended--chicken, beef, lamb, and vegetarian options--which made ordering simple while still offering great variety. She was also incredibly flexible with seating arrangements and accommodated exactly how I wanted guests placed. One detail I especially appreciated was her willingness to honor special requests--she arranged for a tres leches cake from a local bakery for dessert, which was a huge hit. On the day of the event, Jenna met me an hour early so I could set up extra decorations like flowers, a banner, and place cards. That extra time made a big difference and helped everything feel personal and organized. As guests arrived, we had them go directly to their assigned seats--which I highly recommend for a group this size, as it fills up quickly. The staff immediately began service with starters (hummus, salad, and bread), and they were quick to take both food and drink orders. Everything came out promptly, and the service throughout the evening was incredibly attentive and responsive. Every single guest had something positive to say about their meal and dessert, which says a lot when hosting a group this large. After dinner, the staff cleared tables efficiently, and we were able to enjoy the balcony space--an absolute highlight. It provided the perfect backdrop for photos with family, overlooking the Dallas skyline. At the end of the night, Jenna checked in with us to debrief, mentioning that the assigned seating helped her team provide faster, smoother service--which we definitely noticed. Not only did we have an amazing event, but we also felt like we built a genuine connection with her. She struck the perfect balance of being both professional and personable.

It's calm, clean, and the staff is genuinely friendly in that effortless, grounded way. The food here is fresh and actually cooked with care. The grilled chicken plate is my go-to -- tender, seasoned perfectly, and paired with the softest, fluffiest rice. Their vegetables taste like they came straight out of someone's home kitchen, not a restaurant kitchen. But let me tell you: the bread here is unbelievable. Warm, buttery, soft... it tastes like it's baked with love. They should honestly charge extra for it, but they don't. The Turkish tea is another comfort -- simple, hot, soothing.
