We dropped by this hole in the wall Turkish Restaurant. We were greeted by the owner, Ray. The restaurant was very casual. There was a $12.99 lunch buffet. We decided to add an additional $3 for the fresh made kebab. Everything tasted delicious. Ray was prompt with his service but there were only a few customers here after a recent ice storm. The fresh food was tasty. The buffet allowed you to sample different items. I would return again if I was in the area. read more

One of our favorite spots to grab a bite with friends after church on Sunday. It'd been a while since we went back but we stopped by a few weeks ago and Ray, the owner, greeted us like old friends. There's a new price model now where the kebabs are an extra $3 on top of the buffet in case people just want to get food through the buffet line without the made to order kebabs, but I'd never skip the juiciest white meat chicken in the game :) The chicken kebab remains the best I've ever had and the buffet selection is small but mighty. Our most recent trip the complementary iced tea tasted a bit funky but the kofta meatballs were tender and juicy and the spicy rice packed a punch. The food was filling and tasty, and the owner was very friendly; he seemed to be in charge of most of the restaurant from taking care of the bathrooms to greeting customers! After ordering my Chicken Kebab Plate to-go, the owner went to the kitchen to make the kebab so that it was fresh. The other items on the plate came from the buffet line, which I would like to try another time. They have weekday buffet lunches! I was originally going to do a takeout of the lamb kebob wrap, but when I walked in, the owner greeted me warmly and introduced the lunch buffet. At 14.99, it's a great price for a well balance meal. You can choose from a variety of salads, and cold sides. The hummus was fresh tasting. Pita bread was so delicious too I wish I had room to finish it. The star was the freshly grilled ground beef kebab. Perfectly seasoned and mixed with various spices. I really wanted to like this place but it was awful. First, the restaurant had a strong odor, the restroom was awful and they had just opened. Everything looked dirty, containers around, where the tea set up was, the floors. Just very unkempt. I ordered a large order for a medical office and the food was inedible. The lamb was tough and lacked flavor. The rice was sticky and also had no flavor. The hummus tasted awful, so did the salad. Nothing seemed fresh and sadly, I got sick after I ate it. Service was okay. The man was kind and he ran everything. After handling the payment, he went to the kitchen and did the kebabs without washing his hands. Just poor handling of the food. I've visited SKH twice now and both experiences were excellent. Along with the selection from the buffet, you get pita bread and a fresh beef or chicken kebab. The food is fresh and delicious. The decor is simple but welcoming. It's tucked in a strip mall, so would be easy to miss but I'm really glad I trusted the Yelp community to not lead me astray. So very comforting! Such a great value & I feel satiated. I really enjoyed both the chicken & beef kebabs. The stews were wonderful. Everything I tried was great. The potatoes had the perfect texture & the saffron rice had a nice spicy hint. The owner gave great hospitality & was genuinely happy to have us there. I hope for more people to experience the great quality of food & service here. There's lots of indoor & outdoor seating, plus counter seating if you want some personal space. Sofea Kebab House was on my preferred list to check out. It did not disappoint. The proprietor recommended the chicken tikka boti with lemon rice. It was delectable. There was enough for a second meal, and the rice was even more tasty. FYI the Yelp location is off for this locale. I submitted to Yelp the correction. This location has a private lot and also provides BBQ options. If GPS takes you to a strip mall, you are in the wrong place, just go across the busy street. Owner run and his cooking is delicious. Lunch buffet is well worth the price. Good options, fresh and flavorful. Don't forget to use their spicy paste if you like super zesty spice with your meal, it's amazing. They also give you a fresh grilled kebab with your lunch buffet. We ordered to go orders in the past and always were happy with quality of food and taste. Yesterday we ordered chicken kebab plate and beef kebab plate. When we opened boxes we did not see grilled vegetables or even one little cherry tomato on a salad. Just tons of rice, green leaves with vinegar, pita and humus. Why they stopped to add vegetables? Are they short on supplies or they have a different cook who don't care, we don't know. Rice was overcooked and beef was chewy and dry. Not planning to order food at that place anymore. read more

I'm giving this place 5 stars because it's family operated and quite good. Food and experience really merits 4 stars. But they deserve every bit of it. First, the service is great, especially for a buffet. The owner greets you and tells you what's in the buffet and asks you what kind of kebab you want. He also stopped by frequently to check in. This is an impressive considering he's the only person working in the whole restaurant, besides his adolescent son who helps bus the tables. The food is where Safra shines, although not everything was great. The gyro was sitting in a tray of juice and was not good. Neither was another meat dish. However, the lamb was quite good, so much so my wife had 2 plates. The falafel is also above average and is clearly made fresh in-house and not frozen. The real star though is the kebab. The only options are ground beef and chicken. Both were very good. The chicken was tender and moist. The beef was flavorful and delicious. Safra definitely is a standout for Mediterranean/Turkish in an area that's replete with similar options. I highly recommend you check it out. read more

Randomly just decided to try this place after moving to the neighborhood recently, and I'm so excited to come back with my partner and friends. I was a little surprised to see that it was a buffet, because every single dish was good enough to be a full entree! I tried just about everything, and while I don't consider myself the most adventurous eater, I gobbled down every single serving of every thing that touched my plate - quite the achievement for me, personally, and it really speaks to the delicious food! I went here because it was walking distance from my hotel and it was recommended on Yelp. I went around 6PM and had the Buffet + chicken kebab and pita. My favorite thing on the buffet was the goat. The hummus was excellent as well. The best thing was the chicken kabob. The owner makes the kabobs to order so you have to wait for them to come out. It was well worth the wait. It was juicy and tender. I didn't even need a knife to cut the chicken. I don't end up in this part of the country often but I will definitely go back the next time I am. read more

This is a great little locally owned Turkish restaurant. Different than your normal kebab shop or Mediterranean restaurant for sure. They do have a nice little lunch buffet. Your kebab choice is made to order and delivered to your table. We thought the chicken was super-tender and the sides were different than our usual choices, which was nice. It came with rice, hummus, pita, a chickpea salad and a small side salad. I thought it would last 2 meals but it was so good, I ate it all in one sitting! The chicken was incredibly juicy, especially for white meat. The beef was seasoned well and nicely grilled. Hummus was fresh. Pita was a bit hard but it worked well with the hummus.
