One of the staff members cut directly in front of me in the buffet line and grabbed the serving spoon I was about to use. She then gave me an angry look as if I had cut in front of her instead of the other way around. She appeared out of nowhere and was unnecessarily rude. My sister picked up a book from a stand that clearly said "free to take," and suddenly the cashier wanted to call the manager over because apparently we had to pay for it. I started walking away in disbelief, assuming my sister would just leave it there, but when my sister pointed out the sign, the cashier called her a thief in front of the growing line of customers.
