Chicken Shawarma bowl over Greek salad
Angela N.

This place is a great option for people on modified diets such as AIP or Paleo because you can easily customize to meet your needs, while others can still enjoy the overall menu. I had the bowl with chicken shawarma over a Greek salad, minus feta, and tomatoes, no sauce but added pickles. Daughter had a chicken shawarma wrap. The employees were very friendly and the food was fantastic. Portion for the bowl was generous. We will definitely be back!

Food: it is good, especially if you consider this outfit as more of a fast-food restaurant. You get very diverse ingredients that taste good in combination. Gyro was much tastier than shwarma options. Service: you order at the counter. They guys seem very attentive and quick. Parking: there is ample parking as the location is in a strip mall Value: reasonably priced so I would say value is good If you are looking for a really quick representative of Mediterranean food, I would recommend this place

My very first time here and I found 2 hairs WRAPPED INSIDE my Chicken Shawarma Wrap.
Andrew C.

My first time here so I'm going to be VERY honest about my review. Got there as soon as they opened so I think I was their first customer. Guys at the counter were friendly and welcoming. I ordered the Chicken Shawarma with 2 pistachio baklavas. Service was great and I was excited to try it. Got in my car and took a bite of the shawarma and it was really good. It was wrapped tightly so I decided to finish it at home. Once I got home I noticed there was some giardiniera to add to the shawarma so I unwrapped the pita only to find not 1 but 2 pieces of hair IN my shawarma. Not on top of the exposed part of the shawarma but literally WRAPPED INSIDE my pita meaning it came from the face of the cook. I live in Frisco and I've had a very long morning. I did not feel like driving back to McKinney so I just threw it away. The guys should really wear hair and beard nets when managing peoples food. I'll admit the first couple bites were good but finding MULTIPLE HAIRS in my food is not cool. I didn't even want to take a picture because this seems like a new establishment and I don't want to talk bad about it but you guys have to do better.

The mannerless individual with no etiquette or courtesy.

I had an Uber eats order for pick up. Initially, the order was partially fulfilled. Once I expressed my concern, the shorter lady working at the counter was very accommodating and immediately assisted with the issue. However, one of the servers, a bearded man in his late 20's or 30's, when asked for his name, and the original receipt of the wrong order - proceeded to mistreat me. He was adamant to not share the receipt containing the wrong order claiming he had thrown it in the trash. Upon asking for his name very politely - and addressing him as "brother" he very rudely answered that he does not owe me an answer. I again asked "can I have your name brother" - to which he again responded - "I don't have a name, I am not bound to answer". After receiving such abhorrent customer service, I was forced to take a picture of the individual in question - as he was adamant not to speak with me, or provide me with his name. After this - the individual actually had the audacity to threaten to call the police on me because I was taking his picture without his permission. An establishment with such hateful customer service - which I feel - had racial motive because I am a brown (South Asian, Indian) individual - is extremely appalling. We as a people have always experienced racism from Middle Eastern individuals as they collectively see south Asian / or Indians as lower standards than themselves. However, today for the first time in my life, this Middle Eastern individual - proved my existing intuition to be true. This extensively hateful, and racist behavior is unacceptable. I pray that this establishment does improve and I pray for the brother that the Creator forgives them. However, I do not intend to spend my hard earned money here again, only to be humiliated and treated so poorly, only because the color of my skin is darker than that of the individual on the other side of the glass. Please see attached photographs of the original order, the order that was initially provided to us, and the photo of the mannerless bearded man that has proven by his actions to be inherently racist and hateful - even towards customers. May the Lord forgive this individual and bring them to the path of righteousness.

If you like, I'll send it chicken Shawarma and Mediterranean food. This place is so yummy. I can't wait to come back and try many other things. The Shawarma was incredible- Reminded me of my favorite place in Detroit.

Gyros bowl over Greek salad (with a LEEETTLE bit of rice under there). Next time, sauce on the side.

I work from home and I live 18 mins away from here--so the fact that I've come once a week for 4 weeks since I discovered this place should say something. I've had a wrap but I love the bowls because I can make healthier choices. I love the gyros over Greek salad, but I get a THIN layer of rice at the bottom. The other thing I've learned is to get the sauce on the side. Sometimes the sauce is too heavy on top and the food is so flavorful it doesn't need it. The fries are tasty and crisp. The sheesh sauce, tzatziki and tahini are all spot on--no weird flavors here. I also love love love the mint lemonade slush. Holy moly. Sweet and tart and minty. Is it worth $5? Well, I finish it every time so I'd say yes. And the baklava... gosh. They have pistachio or walnut. I always get walnut and I'm always happy. I get it to go because the bowl and slush is so filling, but a few hours later Sheesh is delighting me again!

Beef Shawarma Bowl
Kulpreet B.

Only giving four starts because I didn't actually go inside to eat. Ordered the beef shawarma bowl with spicy sheesh sauce. The bowl itself was good. I wish the sauce was spicer but hit the spot for my mid-day/lunch cravings. Gave the rest of the bowl to my husband who ate it in two seconds. Will have to come back and try more on their menu. The location itself was super close to my work. The decor was cute! The staff made sure my order was good and ready to go before I walked out.

Have been here 5X now and it does not disappoint! The customer service is amazing every time, they help you with anything!! Also the fries are the bomb! Huge Gyros and Swarma wraps!

Falafel Bowl Kello (Everything)
Troi H.

Went there as soon as they opened (11am) so everything was as fresh as it gets. I definitely should've gotten the 'SHEESH' sauce on the side, as you can see in the picture, they do get a little crazy with the sauce (to me). The Falafel was really good. Crispy on the outside, nice and fragrant on the inside. Not overly filled with herbs & not extremely mushy. Balanced to Perfection. You can tell the Falafel is fried, not baked - which is the ONLY way in my opinion ! My order came with everything 'Kello', so it was just a beautifully seasoned mixture of everything. The bowls come with both rice & salad - at first, I thought it wasn't enough rice but with the serving they give you with the everything combined - it's really light yet filling. The Salad to Rice ratio is just enough to satisfy your hunger. The service was great as well. This was my first time in so the cashier/cook assisted me with guiding me through the menu & what they offered which was extremely helpful. I'll definitely be coming back to this establishment, I damn near licked my bowl clean. I'd recommend this place to ANYONE!

Inside it's so clean

I have never had better service and the food is amazing. They do something to the meat and bread. Such a chilled and clean place nice ambiance.

Looks beast!

They have their own gardens where they're really farm to table. We ordered the mezza to share between the 7 of us. The pitas were fresh out of the oven and the hummus, baba ganoush, tabbuli, falafel, labni, cucumber & yogurt, olives, feta cheese, and mixed pickles were all so fresh. It was the perfect starter to get our palettes clear for our main entrees. My mom ordered hedary's chicken, husband ordered the meat combination, and I had the lamb loin kabob. My mom said her chicken was a bit salty for her taste, but it's because she doesn't salt anything. Husband really loved all the meats in his dish, and I think I should've ordered the lamb medium rare because the medium was a little too overcooked for me, making it a little chewy. Flavors were great, just not as tender as I was hoping. Service was wonderful, we had Ella as our server. She seemed so sweet and nice. Overall, if I'm in Allen, I'd come back to try the other items, maybe just not the lamb.

Afrah is THE place to be for Mediterranean food - before Greenville Ave became Arab central, before there was anyone, there was Afrah. A beautiful, airy restaurant with gorgeous seating, a bustling dessert case, ice cream center and so many treats to offer under one roof. Afrah is to the Muslim community in Richardson as a glove is to a hand. It truly is a one stop shop for all your nostalgic cravings, and it would be a grave injustice on my part if I didn't stop by here and sing praise to one of the most loved Mediterranean restaurants in the DFW area. We visited here recently for an iftar buffet experience and were very very happy with the food we got. The buffet line was running smoothly, from staff working diligently to hand everyone a tray with napkins, plates and cutlery already set for you. Waiters were going around the massive dining hall clearing plates, making sure everyone had what they needed, seating patrons and asking if everything tasted good. This establishment runs like a literal well oiled machine and I am so impressed. The food was as always out of this world. Carefully prepared menu that satisfies everyone's taste buds. A good selection of classic cold appetizers like the baba ghanoush, hummus, and variety of salads. Always including something unique for a typical Middle Eastern flare. Hot lentil soup available with bowls carefully placed in the vicinity. So many different types of kebabs and freshly made hot pita bread being replaced like clockwork. The buffet had many of my favorite classics like Shawarma meat, beef kebab, chicken kebab. Lamb, chicken stew, baked chicken, everything was present in abundance. They even had salmon which I deeply appreciated as a seafood lover. My only complaint is the food wasn't hot enough which can be annoying with a buffet that is serving so many people during a busy time like Ramadan. Everything tasted absolutely phenomenal and when I returned for dessert, I was greeted with six different types of sweets from all over the world. That's the thing about this place. There's always something for everybody. The dining hall was bustling with not just Muslim patrons, but also a lot of American white patrons who equally enjoy the food here as much as we do. Inclusions of dishes like shrimp pasta, fried fish, chocolate mousse, and other fan favorites is a humble nod to non-Arab customers who love to frequent this place as much as we do. If you are looking for a quality Mediterranean experience look no further than this long-standing Mediterranean Haven. Thank you for nourishing the community.

This was a fabulous adventure! We took a few hours to visit Sarahs Market and ate lunch at their S Grill. The market is very small, but every inch of its space is very special. First, we found our way to the back corner and sat at a tiny countertop with only 4 chairs. The counter faces an open top grill, and you're able to talk/ watch the chefs make the food. The menu is limited and pricey! We ordered one steak kabob ($26.00). The steak was served medium rare, very juicy, on top of a long rice (similar to rice pasta), and it was coated in a delicious seasoning completely unfamiliar to us. It came with roasted tomatoes & purple onion. You can select from several sides, we picked the hummus. It was a huge portion, enough for 2 people. The chef was so pleased to have us and was very impressed that we were there to learn. He gave us many "generous" sized samples of the sides and sauces they offered. Everything was made in-house, from scratch with fresh ingredients from their grocery store. It was a wonderful experience! The bakery aspect of this location is a small glass display case full of sweets, like macaroons, cheesecake baklava, and more. Most of them were new to us. The pastry chef gave us a few samples that had us buying a bunch to take home, lol. We strolled through the grocery store part of the market before leaving and bought a few items we already enjoyed. The difference was buying things that are made in-house, like pita bread. You can definitely see, smell, and taste the difference. A FIVE STAR review for their authenticity, hospitality, and delicious fresh food. If you're in the area you've got to try the Grilled Kabobs.
