The Food was good but the portions were not good for the price. I Expected to be able to take some home for what I paid. Clean environment but they did not offer any drinks upon arrival nor did they offer them throughout my visit here.

Catered to my office. Iraqi kabobs were excellent. Would've loved more rice than the served amount.

Wanted to try this place out for lunch today. We've shopped at Joe's Supermarket a few times and this place is connected to it, next door. Staff is very nice, some do not speak English very well, but they sent out the chef to take our order and explain some of the dishes. They have a large menu priced very well. I hope they add pictures to the menu, because it was hard to know what the items were. I had to google most. We let the chef recommend what we should get and he did not disappoint. We got two full portions of the mix grill which came with lamb skewers, ground lamb and beef skewers, ground chicken skewers, and chicken skewers, which came with bread, rice, tomatoes, salad and peppers. All of them were so tasty! We also ordered the falafels which were great and I loved the sauce that came with it. My husband wanted to try the smoked yogurt. They have a machine for it, honestly it was not our jam, but it was smoked yogurt for sure. I would definitely come back, the food was really tasty and very fresh. I want to say they are still semi new, service was good but the waitress was solo and had trouble managing all the tables. Go if you're not in a hurry.

    Lamb Chops half order.

While I did not eat in the restaurant, it was beautifully decorated, with comfortable tables and booths (so something for everyone). I placed my order and waited at an empty table with a book. Several other patrons stopped in to pick up orders, so it seems that this is a good place for both dine in and takeaway. The food preparation was fast, and I brought our items home to enjoy. The falafel was wonderful (not dry at all, which is often the case), and the meats were well seasoned. The hummus was awesome and the pita was fresh. I have only had Ezme at one other place, and this was definitely better. I always love baba ganoush and this was so good, especially with the warm bread. The family meal for 4 was plenty of food. All the meats, including the chicken items because a lot of time those are over cooked. The lamb tikka, and sheeh tawook were my favorites, but I did enjoy them all. The desserts were a miss for us over all. The ice cream was on the icy side and not as creamy, kunafa was ok but I've had better. The baklava was like any baklava you can get, so not bad. It is slightly pricey but worth it in my opinion. Nice place that can accommodate larger parties, but also has some booths for intimate date night. The meat is also halal so a great option for anyone that needs that.

Afrah is THE place to be for Mediterranean food - before Greenville Ave became Arab central, before there was anyone, there was Afrah. A beautiful, airy restaurant with gorgeous seating, a bustling dessert case, ice cream center and so many treats to offer under one roof. Afrah is to the Muslim community in Richardson as a glove is to a hand. It truly is a one stop shop for all your nostalgic cravings, and it would be a grave injustice on my part if I didn't stop by here and sing praise to one of the most loved Mediterranean restaurants in the DFW area. We visited here recently for an iftar buffet experience and were very very happy with the food we got. The buffet line was running smoothly, from staff working diligently to hand everyone a tray with napkins, plates and cutlery already set for you. Waiters were going around the massive dining hall clearing plates, making sure everyone had what they needed, seating patrons and asking if everything tasted good. This establishment runs like a literal well oiled machine and I am so impressed. The food was as always out of this world. Carefully prepared menu that satisfies everyone's taste buds. A good selection of classic cold appetizers like the baba ghanoush, hummus, and variety of salads. Always including something unique for a typical Middle Eastern flare. Hot lentil soup available with bowls carefully placed in the vicinity. So many different types of kebabs and freshly made hot pita bread being replaced like clockwork. The buffet had many of my favorite classics like Shawarma meat, beef kebab, chicken kebab. Lamb, chicken stew, baked chicken, everything was present in abundance. They even had salmon which I deeply appreciated as a seafood lover. My only complaint is the food wasn't hot enough which can be annoying with a buffet that is serving so many people during a busy time like Ramadan. Everything tasted absolutely phenomenal and when I returned for dessert, I was greeted with six different types of sweets from all over the world. That's the thing about this place. There's always something for everybody. The dining hall was bustling with not just Muslim patrons, but also a lot of American white patrons who equally enjoy the food here as much as we do. Inclusions of dishes like shrimp pasta, fried fish, chocolate mousse, and other fan favorites is a humble nod to non-Arab customers who love to frequent this place as much as we do. If you are looking for a quality Mediterranean experience look no further than this long-standing Mediterranean Haven. Thank you for nourishing the community.

You order at the counter and they bring your food to you. We love Middle Eastern food so we were quite pleased that this restaurant exists in the middle of the Texas countryside. I am sure that the people of Murphy and Lucas do not consider themselves as country dwellers, but coming from Dallas, it is countryside. Not saying that is good or bad, just an observation. Anyway, the restaurant. We started with a side of hummus and it was very good. I like a bit less tahini and more garlic, but I am not complaining about this hummus. It came with pita bread. I wish it had been warm. I ordered the shish taouk (cubed chicken breast) and it was excellent. Chicken was tender and very flavorful. It came with rice, some pickles, and an olive dip that I never saw before but it was good too. The wife had the beef shawarma and it also was very flavorful. Beef was tender and good quality. Her's also came with rice. Both of our dishes were excellent and we both would order again. Service was very friendly. It's a family owned restaurant and you can tell that they really care. It was not terrible busy on a Saturday night so I hope they are successful. If I lived in Murphy or Lucas I would be here once a week for sure.

I tried both the wrap and the salad bowl, and while the portions were solid, the flavor of the meat was pretty middle of the road at best. The spices and seasoning just felt bland overall and neither dish really stood out. The sauces were definitely the highlight and added a lot more flavor than the meat itself. One small thing that also felt odd was getting water in a tiny plastic Dixie cup. Not a deal breaker, but it added to the overall average experience. Decent value for the money, just wish the food had more seasoning and flavor depth. Clean inside....
