We celebrated my husband's birthday at Hutchins BBQ and had a really great experience. Even on a rainy Saturday afternoon, we only waited about 15-20 minutes in line, which wasn't bad at all. Inside is spacious, and we had no trouble finding a table for our group of 10. Our waitress, Megan, was incredibly kind and attentive. She and the team even sang happy birthday and surprised him with an ice cream cone, which made the day feel extra special. The food was very good overall. My favorite was the jalapeño pork sausage, it was full of flavor. The pork ribs were also delicious. The brisket was okay, not my top choice compared to the other meats. Portion sizes for the sides are generous. We tried the corn, coleslaw, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, and fries. The mashed potatoes were definitely the standout, and the coleslaw was also really good. The corn wasn't our favorite. Overall, we really enjoyed our time.

Wow!! Some of the best Smoked meat I have ever had. The chicken was extremely moist and seasoned to perfection. Chef kiss. The sausage which is made in house was fantastic. Plenty of parking, and seating everyone was extremely nice. Bring your appetite. This place is a must visit if you are in the Metroplex.

Wow. This place was an amazing experience. I ordered the Texas Twinkie ($7), pint of creamed corn ($8.99), pint Mac & cheese ($8.99), Jalapeño sausage 29.99/lb, pulled pork 29.99/lb, sliced brisket for 39.99/lb. They have free desserts! There was a line to order food. Good ambiance. Large area.

Wow! This was the best BBQ! The brisket was the perfect middle slice not all fat but not dry and lean! Fell apart didn't even need to cut it! The pork ribs are on the smaller size but the flavor of that rub was phenomenal!! The sausage had a super snappy casing which is my favorite! The creamed corn was my favorite side. We didn't try the Texas Twinkie but we definitely will have to next time we go! Also can't forget the free banana pudding and peach cobbler!!!

Finally made it out to Hutchins BBQ and yeah... I get the hype now. Got the brisket and it was honestly some of the best I've had -- super tender, good bark, not dry at all. The ribs were solid too, and the jalapeño sausage had a nice kick without being too much. Sides were better than I expected (mac & cheese and the beans especially).

Given my first visit to Texas, this was such a noteworthy BBQ experience! The brisket is melt in your mouth and probably the best I've had so far - absolutely a must try. The meats were all so flavorful and smoked to perfection, the mac n cheese, mashed potatoes were no less - they paired so well together. My order was takeout but I heard if you dine in there is banana pudding too. I can see why it's bustling with people - all very good reasons to make a visit!

Now this is what I have been craving for and what better way to satisfy my appetite than some real Texas BBQ! They definitely know how to make it right and super tender and tasty. Yum!! We ordered the family pack and shared the ribs and brisket with sides, oh snd chicken. Everything was so good! I've never eaten so much meat in one sitting lol! So worth it. Bbq will never taste the same because this one tops every place I've been to by far. Can't wait to visit again and have more!

100/10, highly recommend this place! Texas twinkie was the fav part of the meal, and we loved everything else, we were visiting from CA, and we def don't have bbq like this! We will return just for the Hutchins! Excellent service, lots of seating, a bit dark but it fits the vibe.

I couldn't find anything negative about the place! It was our first visit here. We looked it up on Yelp and made our decision fast! Very neat and clean outside upon entering. Walking inside it was also clean and smelled wonderfully! We took our time ordering and were not rushed even though there was a line. We choose to get brisket and turkey. As well as some sides. After we paid we headed to get our drinks, I unfortunately saw it first thing--- free dessert! Omg! Free banana pudding or peach cobbler. Wow! And let me tell you everything we had was so amazing. Brisket was so moist and I was able to cut it with a plastic fork. Turkey was great but not as good as the brisket. We will definitely be going back next time we are in the area. It's expensive but well worth it!

Tried out this BBQ place for the very first time. I thought the food quality was not bad and our waiter Morgan was very kind. The place had a rustic and cozy vibe to it. I tried their brisket and spicy sausage as well as corn and mash potatoes. For drinks I got sweet tea and it was pretty good as well. For dessert tried their vanilla ice cream, banana pudding, and peach. My favorites were the brisket, banana pudding, and their vanilla ice cream.

This spot is one of the top spots for Texas-style BBQ in the DFW metroplex and in Texas in general for a reason since the brisket was flavorful, mouth-watering, and tender and one of the few spots that are over 7 days a week. The downside was that the meat was expensive, but the quality was worth it. There's even a complimentary self-serve bar for banana pudding, peach cobbler, and ice cream for dine-in (extra charge for to-go), along with a self-serve bar for condiments, bread, and pickles. Be aware that the lines can get long during peak meal times especially at lunch.

New Year's Day Lunch at Hutchins hit the spot! Stars of the show were the pork ribs, jalapeño sausage and okra! The brisket is good but has a layer of fat. Easy to get around the fat and it's seasoned well. Mac & Cheese was good but the kids didn't like the hard bits, (I think it was bacon.) Potato casserole was smooth, priced well but could have used some chives or green onions. (Definitely Skip on the $3.89 fountain drinks & $1.50 bag of chips. ) I wasn't a fan of the $60 beef rib ($39.99 lb) but the hubs liked it. Jalapeño pinto bean & chicken are good but not spectacular. Kids enjoyed the peach cobbler and ice cream. The restaurant is run well, line went quickly, no shortage of staff and never saw a table sit more than a minute before it was cleaned and ready to go. Atmosphere is a tad nicer than I was expecting. You're still going to smell like you are wearing BBQ perfume when you leave but the air was moving and it wasn't hot.

Our first time here and it was so yummy! We came on a cold day so it was a little chilly waiting to get in but the bonus was free samples!! Man the origins and jalapeño cheddar sausages were sooo good! I ordered a / meat sandwich with turkey and sliced brisket and Mac n' cheese. My husband ordered a brisket stuffed baked potato with cream corn and green beans on the side. The peach cobbler it's ice cream was the perfect ending!

    Is it BYOB?

Is your sliced brisket available "juicey?"

I think so. I always ask for lean so I would assume you could ask for juicy.

What days do they have beef ribs?

They used to just have them on Friday and Saturday, but I believe they may have decided to offer them all week long. They're amazing!

Do they still have the all-u-can-eat option? Asking for a hungry friend.

No. An old signage of that is viewable as decor only.

    Do you take reservations?

No - they are walk up to the counter and order style and it is open seating.

Any update on the McKinney location reopening?

It is open, and as good as ever!

Do they do online gift cards?

    Yes, https://hutchinsbbq.com

Thinking about hosting a rehearsal dinner. Is it possible to do it here at Hutchins, and if so, do they have a private dining area?

Consider having them cater but they are much too busy for your rehearsal dinner, not that they couldnt handle it, it just probably would not be as private as you would like. Amazing food tho!

I'll admit I'm not a huge cheesecake person so I opted for the strawberry tart and matcha tiramisu to share with my husband. I also got a citron cookie but I didn't love it. My husband really enjoyed it though! Every single piece is beautiful and fully loaded with tasty toppings. I will say the pieces are generous for the price at just under $10 a slice. They are BIG. The strawberry's and cream were delicious. Strawberries were super fresh and still crunchy. I really enjoyed the matcha tiramisu as it was really flavorful and not too sweet.
