Here's a review for Shawarma Bar: We visited Shawarma Bar at Legacy Hall after spotting this Mediterranean restaurant and decided to give it a try. We ordered the falafel wraps, hoping for a flavorful experience. Unfortunately, they fell short of our expectations. The wraps were average overall, and I'd rate them a 6 out of 10. The main issue was the spice level -- it was far too spicy, and they didn't ask how we preferred it. My wife couldn't eat hers because of how overwhelming the heat was. It would be much better if they offered the sauce on the side or at least asked customers about their preferred spice level before serving. This small adjustment would make a big difference for a wider range of diners. read more

There are so many options for different meals at Legacy Hall food court. I love Shwarma and have had it all over the world, the Shwarma Bar is pretty average, but the staff was really friendly and the atmosphere here was really fun. The portions were perfect size, the price reasonable and I really enjoyed the French fries with my meal. The lamb shwarma itself was pretty average - a little bland / dry, but lots of tasty add-ons are available. If you are looking for a fun lunch place or an evening out with friends, Legacy Hall is fun and the Shwarma Bar is a good choice. I wouldn't drive here specifically to get Shwarma but if you are here already then it's not a bad choice. read more

A great spot within Legacy food hall! The staff is nice and the food is super flavorful. The beef/lamb gyro is one of our favorites. The falafel is also really fluffy and crunchy. They definitely don't skimp on anything! The Shawarma Stack is huge and can definitely feed 2 people. read more

You would think someone opens a place like this in a Fancy Plano food court would in addition to spending the money for rent a nice kitchen, sign, etc. that they would actually have some decent Shawarma. One of the only spots in the legacy hall that lets you choose options on that. That being said...not sure why when I asked for "no rice" did the girl freeze and just go "wuuuuut?". You can't tell me in Plano that everyone is scarfing down carbs. I found it mildly annoying. The price was a bit high for what I got. Bowl and a bottled water was $18. That's my reason for 3 stars. I'm very unsatisfied with my order from this restaurant. I have never had this issue before. This is a very small amount of food to put in a bowl and sell at this price. I had to go get other food from somewhere else because of how hungry I was after eating it. Keep in mind that I ordered from Uber Eats. There was more cabbage in the bowl than chicken. They put maybe one spoon of rice, half a spoon of chicken and filled the rest with a bunch of vegetables, which didn't even make the bowl full. You could see the bottom of it. The food tasted horrible too. Nothing authentic about it. There was no flavor. The bowl was also missing a lot of items they were supposed to put in it. These are the items listed for this bowl: With rice, hummus, tabbouleh, tahini, parsley, tomato, sumac onions, pickled cucumber & Pita. As you can also see from the photo, there was no hummus, tabbouleh, tahini, parsley, tomato, onions (of any kind!), and pickled cucumber. And there was mushroom in the bowl, which wasn't listed here. Finding good Mediterranean food in DFW is pretty much impossible if you have had truly great Mediterranean food like in Michigan for example. Compared to other similar restaurants in DFW this one is good. Their selection is pretty small, one thing I really like is that their lamb is actually lamb and not a mix of lamb and ground beef like many Mediterranean restaurants in DFW serve. I typically get their lamb gyro or their bowl with lamb, both are really good. Fresh veggies and good flavors. There are no affordable restaurants in Legacy Hall but I think you get pretty good value at this one. You can always get water from the shared common area if you want to save money. read more

Carlos, Mauricio and Junior are wonderful! The attention and care they give to each one of their costumers is what keeps us coming back, besides their delicious Shawarmas. Best Shawarmas in town, they load them up perfectly and it's perfect portioning and they're so quick too! These men deserve a raise, they're phenomenal and so efficient. This is one of the healthier and fresher options at Legacy Hall. I love getting the Lamb Shawarma Bowl over lettuce instead of rice. Legacy Hall is the exciting new project in the growing Legacy West Area and Shawarma Bar is one of its tenants. Unfortunately, my visit there was on the underwhelming side. To begin, the line moved very slow, but I went on opening day and the place was packed, so I can look past it. Still, the line is much slower than other fast casual concepts, but you still get the food quicker than you would at a sit down restaurant. Food: In short, overpriced and lacking flavor. When one thinks of shawarma, the image that comes to mind should be meat that is beautifully crispy on the outside, and juicy/delicious on the inside. I opted to get a bowl, and while the sides were okay, the meat, which is supposed to be the star of the show, fell well below my expectations. The fat didn't really render down and the seasoning was just off. Price: Nothing against SB, as most of the tenants in Legacy Hall are overpriced (this is probably an effect from their rent), but the price is just not justified for the quality you get. With tax and no drink, my bowl was over $13 which is on par with what you pay at a sit-down restaurant. That combined with the fact that it was not an enjoyable experience left me feeling cheated. I think it's $2-3 too expensive. Even at that price point however, I would prefer to go to a competitor for better quality. Conclusion: Legacy Hall and this offering are exciting and beautifully designed, but the execution on the food has a lot of work to do. Will be abstaining for the foreseeable future to see if they can get some of the kinks out. read more

Don't look at the single dollar sign posted on this page! It may be under $10 but it is definitely not worth it. First, the service is quite slow (and I was the only person in line). Imagine if the line was longer....And when I got to ordering, the options were very simple and unimpressive. When I finished selecting almost all the sides, the size of the chicken shawarma was very small (look at my picture). It was filling enough to make me satisfied. Regarding the flavors, ingredients were dry and bland. Overall, I have definitely seen much better quality for a lesser price. Location is great! It's my mission to try every restaurant in The Legacy Food Hall and today I tried Shawarma Bar and order a Lamb Gyro and Moroccan Mint Iced Tea. It was pretty mediocre. I've had better gyros on the streets of NY. But the lamb was pretty flavorful. I will probably ask for a plate of that alone if I gave it another try. There was nothing mint about my ice tea so I was kind of disappointed. Customer service was good and filled with smiling faces. Nowhere near top of my list for favorite Mediterranean food. They charge $12 for a lamb bowl and the lamb is chopped up and almost nonexistent. There seem to be a lot of toppings - some of them are a bit more exotic/authentic but unlabeled, which is annoying because I wanted to ask what each one was but the line was so long. Picked this place in my first visit to legacy food hall today. The service was quick, even though there was a line. I got the lamb gyro wrap which comes with veggies, tzatziki, and feta. The wrap was huge - hard to wrap up and eat if I'm honest - but absolutely no complaints about the amount of meat or toppings lol. The meat was great quality and well seasoned. I also got fries on the side with garlic sauce. The fries kind of have like a vinegar flavor to them that I'm not sure I would like on it's own but the garlic sauce cut that a lot. All in all a great experience. I don't often find good shawarma in the states so this was super nice. read more

Friend met me here for lunch as it's lies across the street from work. I got the chicken bowl which was decent. It was good but not great. The price is ridiculous being $12 and you choose your own toppings. However they definitely cut short on the protein and toppings. Reminds me of subway putting one piece of green pepper across six inches. She got the lamb gyro and I literally went back and asked where the lamb is. Evidently, your have to sort through the lettuce to get to the protein. I would say they put on a quarter cup of protein on it w a pita the size of a 10" pizza crust. They should be ashamed and embarrassed consider it cost $10 just for the gyro. Nothing else comes w it beside a sorry ass request for a tip. Never again.
