I visited the restaurant recently based on the reviews. I ordered the vegetarian plate, which included falafel, baba ghanoush, hummus, tabbouleh, and stuffed grape leaves. The service throughout my meal was attentive and pleasant, and the baba ghanoush was quite good. However, after trying each item on the plate, I found that the rest of the meal missed the mark: most components lacked flavor, were overly salty, and the falafel was overcooked. Because of this, I left the majority of the plate uneaten and sent it back. While I appreciate the hospitable service, the food quality falls short of what I look for, and I won't be returning when looking for Middle Eastern cuisine. read more

Ambiance/Atmosphere Rating: 9.5 out of 10. What we tried: Lamb Shank Plate: tender, fall off the bone lamb, with rice that is so tasty that you can just eat the rice by itself. I don't even like rice like that; it's not one of my favorite carbs. The Lamb had a very mild flavor. 9.5 out of 10 for me. Chicken Kebob Plate: normally I wouldn't order chicken kebob as I feel that it can get a bit dry, but not at this restaurant. Tbh, most Iranian kebabs are very juicy and flavorful, and this was the same. Another 9.5 for me. Overall Food Rating: 9.5 out of 10. Customer service was excellent. What a find!!! Actually a recommendation to us and we are ever in debt of the recommender for this place. Rose serves authentic Iranian cuisine and I am sure it is better than any served in Cali (read South Bay. Silicon Valley)!!!! Hands down!!! The Kashke Bademjan , the Tabouli salad, the Hummus, the Falafels, the Baba Ganoush, the Ghormeh Sabzi and the soft and succulent and so flavorful chicken and mined beef kebabs all made with the freshest of freshest veggies, meats and basic ingredients and perfectly spiced/ served with Sumac, generously splashed with Olive Oil and then served with the most appetizing Basmati rice spiked with saffron and the delightfully warm and oh so soft Pita bread. We were floored by each and every dish they served (even the simple but so fresh lettuce and cucumber salad served with a tangy light dressing) and guess what the Dugh Drink (buttermilk with some very tasty digestive powders) elevated the experience to the next level! And Pooneh , who seated and waited on us, was so friendly and kept serving the dishes at a pace that never kept us waiting nor allowed the dish to go cold while we savored the previous served dish. Tried out this place for the first time with my friend for breakfast. The place is beautifully designed with traditional Iranian features inside. Service is also good upon arrival the server greeted me and took me to my desired table. We tried the traditional Kale Pache ( Sheep tongue, brain, and legs) and it was amazing as it came with bread and meat broth. For drinks we ordered hot tea which was also good. The food was good. Unfortunately our server didn't mention that would be surprise extra charge that didn't seems very clearly on the Menu. Especially if you order Kalle Pache it always comes with good amount of bread not 5pcs! and for x-bread you'll still disappointed because they charge us! I used to love this place. However, today I ordered 2 combo kebab plates and what I got was bad. First of all the portion had gotten much smaller, the price was much higher, and the taste was not good at all. They even had put a very small slice of tomato that you usually get two. much bigger one. It was my husband's birthday and of course I was so embarrassed that I got him this food. I got to say this place is some of the best Mediterranean it's a cross between like Persian and Lebanese I'm sure other infusions but I'm loving to you and I love all Mediterranean food. Finally made a trip to this Restaurant, it was great! Fairly priced compared to competitors (if you know then you know), we paid $22 per plate and the meals came with rice and salad. Great experience at The Rose Mediterranean Cuisine. Super cute & cozy place with awesome food. The gyro plate and the pita bread were our favorites. They don't serve gyro sandwich on the weekend - only during the weekdays - so I think we will def go back to try that too. Everything came out fresh and flavorful. Wow, the gyro sandwich was stuffed with tender chunks of meat, lettuce, tomato... the white sauce was different and thicker, very delicious, comes separate in a little container. If you're hungry but aren't into meat, definitely checkout the falafel platter! Wowzer, it's a party platter and you will enjoy every bite. When we got there it was around 1/2pm; there was only one table. Our waitress was very nice, we ordered appetizers and food for our kids. Then tables kept walking in one after the other (we knew it was gonna be good) and the place was packed. Our appetizers and kids' food came out fairly quick; we got the hummus and falafel appetizers and our kids split a kids chicken kabob plate. All of it was amazing; the hummus was super tasty and the falafels were really good. My husband and I both ordered the chicken kabob plates. They took awhile to come out; but I'm sure it was because of all the tables that came in. Portion size to pricing is good. The kabob plates were delicious and cooked perfectly. Service was 1-10 Took a while after we were seated to get our drink and appetizer order. Drinks came a good while after and we placed our main course order. A few minutes later the gal came and informed us that they were out of ground beef kabobs so we had to change our orders. (I said it's like going to a burger joint and they saying we are all out of burgers.) We received the salads that accompanied the main course and they were good. Shortly there after our main course was served. We questioned about our appetizers and they said they would be right out. After finishing our main course one of the two appetizers was served. No mention of the other appetizer. The main course was 10-10 flavor and quality . Appetizer was 8-10 We never had anyone check on us to see if we wanted refills. We were done for a while and I finally had to flag someone down to ask for a check. The servers lack of attention was unacceptable for any restaurant. The saving grace was to he food. This place is so close to where I live. I meant to try it for a long time. But I didn't get around it until today. When you walk in, you feel the ethnicity right away. The background music and the middle eastern decor. You see the elaborate table cloths and the fancy rugs on the floor. The place is not big at all. But it gives you a very homey feel. To test it out, I just ordered a lamb shawarma sandwich. The order came very quickly. The lamb, my favorite meat, was tender with fresh tomatoes, onions and cucumber. The portion was very generous. I also like the thin pita bread, lightly toasted. To wrap up this simple meal, I ordered a piece of tempting baklava. It was nutty, nice and sweet! The waitress was very friendly and attentive. Love this place! Best Lebanese Mediterranean food around! The Lamb, beef, and chicken kabobs are SOOOO GOOD! My family normally does not like lamb but they love the succulent, juicy, and tender lamb kabobs here. The roasted tomatoes are out of this world! The yellow rice an absolute staple. All of their food tastes fresh, minimally processed, and so good. Service is awesome. If you want to cater a large meal but have no idea what you're doing, they are great at helping you plan a large catering order with perfect portions so that everyone is well fed but without too much left over. They will not oversell you food. The ambiance inside is super chill and atmospheric for a Lebanese cafe with the sounds and smells of the kitchen making you hungry the second you open the front door.
