Tried out this place for the first time with my friend for breakfast. The place is beautifully designed with traditional Iranian features inside. Service is also good upon arrival the server greeted me and took me to my desired table. We tried the traditional Kale Pache ( Sheep tongue, brain, and legs) and it was amazing as it came with bread and meat broth. For drinks we ordered hot tea which was also good. Rose serves authentic Iranian cuisine and I am sure it is better than any served in Cali (read South Bay. Silicon Valley)!!!! Hands down!!! The Kashke Bademjan , the Tabouli salad, the Hummus, the Falafels, the Baba Ganoush, the Ghormeh Sabzi and the soft and succulent and so flavorful chicken and mined beef kebabs all made with the freshest of freshest veggies, meats and basic ingredients and perfectly spiced/ served with Sumac, generously splashed with Olive Oil and then served with the most appetizing Basmati rice spiked with saffron and the delightfully warm and oh so soft Pita bread. We were floored by each and every dish they served (even the simple but so fresh lettuce and cucumber salad served with a tangy light dressing) and guess what the Dugh Drink (buttermilk with some very tasty digestive powders) elevated the experience to the next level! I used to love this place. However, today I ordered 2 combo kebab plates and what I got was bad. First of all the portion had gotten much smaller, the price was much higher, and the taste was not good at all. They even had put a very small slice of tomato that you usually get two. much bigger one. It was my husband's birthday and of course I was so embarrassed that I got him this food. Our appetizers and kids' food came out fairly quick; we got the hummus and falafel appetizers and our kids split a kids chicken kabob plate. All of it was amazing; the hummus was super tasty and the falafels were really good. My husband and I both ordered the chicken kabob plates. They took awhile to come out; but I'm sure it was because of all the tables that came in. Portion size to pricing is good. The kabob plates were delicious and cooked perfectly. This place is so close to where I live. I meant to try it for a long time. But I didn't get around it until today. When you walk in, you feel the ethnicity right away. The background music and the middle eastern decor. You see the elaborate table cloths and the fancy rugs on the floor. The place is not big at all. But it gives you a very homey feel. To test it out, I just ordered a lamb shawarma sandwich. The order came very quickly. The lamb, my favorite meat, was tender with fresh tomatoes, onions and cucumber. The portion was very generous.
