Excellent Halal Yemeni food! The Zurbian chicken was delicious, and the chicken pieces were very tender, fresh, and flavorful. The seating area was comfortable and pleasant. The only downside was that the service was a bit slow. We sometimes had to wait for a waiter to be available when we needed something. Other than that, everything was great. I would definitely recommend this place for authentic Yemeni food.

When we first walked into Hadramout Restaurant, the place was filled with smoke from the grill, which was overwhelming. We also noticed a lot of flies around, which was concerning. The waiter, however, was friendly and took the time to explain the menu to us, recommending a few dishes. We decided to try the Mandi lamb, Kabsa lamb, and Hanith lamb. When the food arrived, we were impressed with both the taste and the portion sizes--everything was delicious, but the portions were so large that none of us could finish our meals. However, I was disappointed by the cleanliness of the restaurant. For a party of six, they automatically added an 18% service charge, which is fair, but I hope they use that to improve the overall hygiene of the place. The cleanliness definitely needs more attention. If I crave this type of food again, I'll probably order it to-go instead of dining in.

My first time here trying their food. By far this is the best lamb to have in Texas. Food was on point fresh. Service was good and welcoming. I dont care about the ambiance if the food is good . Go eat some quality food.

Attentive and quick service for a busy restaurant! We came in on a Friday night and while it was packed, we were able to get seated right away. Our food was also out within 5-10 minutes of ordering. This restaurant is very affordable for the amount of food they give. Even as 3 hungry girls, we could've ordered 1 appetizer and 1 entree and been fine. We got the Mediterranean Plate to start, which was average. The only part I felt was skimpy was the accompanying bread--the 3 half pieces were not nearly enough for all the hummus and baba ghanoush. However, the extra spreads did make good pairings for the rice in the Kabasa Chicken and Mandi Chicken. I wish they came with yogurt sauce, but instead I used the hummus and salsa-type sauce they gave us at the beginning. The chicken was fall off the bone, but the breast meat was very dry despite the tenderness. Hadramout is a good beginner's dive into Yemeni and hits the spot for a craving, but definitely not the best you could try.

We've been coming here at least once or twice a month for the past two years. But today, we had a very bad experience -- the chicken was not cooked properly at all. This is not the quality we usually get with the Hanith chicken and Kabsa rice. We informed the server, but he said he couldn't do anything about it. Not recommended anymore

This is by far the best restaurant in DFW. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would. The mandi chicken will fall off the bone even if you just wiggle the plate. The fish is amazingly flavored and also is easy to remove from the bone. The dessert isn't too sweet but is by far some of the best dessert I've ever had. The service has always been amazing and the staff has always been so kind and friendly. I have been here about a handful of times and the restaurant continues to blow my mind and remain consistently amazing. I literally dream about this restaurant. There is not a better restaurant in DFW, and it is one of the only Yemeni restaurants around. I had never had Yemeni food prior to trying this restaurant, and what a great representation of it, it is. I recommend that EVERYONE tries this restaurant.

The Mandi at Hadramout is probably one of the best you'll find in DFW. I love how tender the chicken is, it's definitely a comfort food for me.

Great food, large portions, reasonable price. One meal and appetizer is enough for two. We shall be back soon. Grilled fish is a must try

This was my first time trying Yemeni food and it was delicious. The food had lots of flavor and chicken was very tender. The chicken literally fell off the bones. Each entree comes with a lot of rice, so the rice to chicken proportion is a bit off in my opinion. We also ordered the Mediterranean plate appetizer, which was also good, but it only came with 3 pieces of bread. We ended up having to pay for extra bread. They also charge you for water which I wasn't expecting. Overall, very nice to have something new in Plano.

Husband ordered their beef plate with rice and salad for $14.99. Both plates came with a huge pita bread. Portion sizes were huge! I really liked their pita bread. It was really good and chewy. Only downside is their meat. They give you a lot, but the chicken was dry and overcooked. They also slice the meat really small, so I wasn't a fan of that. Beef was cooked well, but wasn't a fan of the small slices of meat. They don't have water, only bottled water in the fridge. They do have a hot water dispenser though. I visited this restaraunt for the first time and genuinely enjoyed everything I ordered. Starting off with appetizers, my friend and I ordered the pan shared halloumi cheese. This is paired with tomatoes and fig jam and is a wonderful accompaniment to the complimentary bread and olives served for the table. I'm a big fan of halloumi in general but this one was particularly cooked well and a must order for next time. For main entree I ordered Hunkar Begendi, which is sautéed marinated lamb tenderloin with red and green bell peppers over creamy eggplant puree. The lamb was in fact tender and perfectly seasoned and the eggplant puree went very well with the slight gaminess of the meat. I enjoyed this dish overall and it didn't feel too heavy, which sometimes is the case when I eat lamb. The pieces of meat were cut small enough while not being super tough, which I appreciated. I would definitely recommend this restaraunt if you enjoy trying Mediterranean fusion spots!

The main dish just wasn't my favorite, but it wasn't because it wasn't well made, it was more of a texture preference for me. The potatoes were a little overcooked for my liking, although a friend at our table said his were great. I did, however, love the gigantes! Our table also shared the Trio of Dips (tirokafteri, hummus, and skordalia), the moussaka, the Brazilian steak, and the Aegean stuffed pepper. The tirokafteri and hummus were both delicious. The skordalia wasn't for me, but that's simply because it's essentially a chilled potato dip, not a reflection of the restaurant. The Brazilian steak was fantastic, great flavor and cooked perfectly. The stuffed pepper and moussaka also got a thumbs-up from our group. I believe our server's name was Uli, and he was good. He took the time to explain several dishes. Greek food probably isn't at the top of my personal favorites list, but this one was ok.
